Mujtahida always make sure you have one opening img tag and one closing img tag -- not more than one pair.
like this --> [img]your PIC url here[/img]

Same applies when you want to bold a text
like this --> [b]

and the corresponding closing b tag

MWEENE – UNFAIR TO JUDGE SUPER EAGLES WITH THEIR PERFORMANCE AGAINST US

Captain of the senior national team of Zambia Kennedy Mweene says the Super Eagles of Nigeria should not be judged based on their display on Saturday in Uyo.
https://i1.wp.com/owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/IMG_3646.jpg
Nigeria didn’t hit same height like they did against Cameroon in the last round of games and also in their 3-1 win over Algeria in their second game of the World Cup Qualifiers.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com, the experienced shot stopper said the way Zambia played made it difficult to see the real Super Eagles, hence they shouldn’t be judged based on the game.
”Look, I think we cannot judge the Nigerian team as at now. We (Zambia) might be a very difficult team to play with. The way we played against Nigeria, it won’t be the same when they play other teams”, Mweene said.
”So for me it will be unfair to judge them based on our game against them, we still need to watch the Super Eagles in the coming games, you know they will have a lot of friendlies before the World Cup, then we’ll be able to see how good they are.

”There are a lot of youngsters in the team but they are youngsters with experience. I think they’ve a good and formidable team which can represent Africa well in Russia”, he said.

RUSSIA 2018 WCQ UPDATE:

USA have just missed out of World Cup qualification for the first time since 1986, after losing to Trinidad & Tobago. They barely fell short of the play-off spot after finishing 5th on the North & Central American qualifiers table.

I remember when Klinsmann was gunning for foreign-borns. Some section of American's kicked against it. They fired Klinsmann, and now their sentiments have paid off.

tbaba like ive not been sayin he should play there instead of Echiejile. I'm only considering him as a temporary fix so Shehu can still have some decent competition at RB. I agree, yes he can be a permanent fix as LB, especially now we don't have good options there. who knows he could also cement his place there in future.. I don't want to say that too early. He's showing promises there already

tbaba1234:
Aina can be a permanent solution on the left. He is young and is comfortable playing there.

Ben Iroha was a natural right footer but was Nigeria's left back for a long time.

We need to go for them. I can't guarantee you they will come good for us real soon.. but hey they are young and if they don't come good enough now, they could be great options in future.

You mean Felix Uduokhai and Jordan Torunarigha as permanent fixes for the LB?

On the website you are copying the story from, right click on the picture and click on "open image in new tab" (may vary depending on your browser). when the pic opens in a tab, copy the url. Paste on Nairaland where exactly you want it. then wrap it with the img tags..
(select the entire pasted url and click on that image button on the menu above), or you can do it manually. Just type [img] to open, and [/img] to close it.. DONE

"Rohr must invite only players who fit his world cup plan" --seconded

terzurum5:
Amuneke: Rohr Must Invite Only Players Who Fit His World Cup Plan

Peter Oriaku

By Johnny Edward:
Former Super Eagles assistant Coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, has called on Gernot Rohr to call up players who only can adapt to his football philosophy to boost his squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Russia, Completesportsnigeria.‎com reports.

Several players who didn’t feature during the World Cup qualifiers have been rumoured to make a return, but Amuneke advises that the new players must offer more than what the players in the current squad have.

“Anybody can play for the Super Eagles, but the players coming in must be able to adapt,” Amuneke told Completesportsnigeria.com.

Amuneke who will attend the FIFA football awards in London next week praises Rohr for the success of qualifying for the Mundial but charges that his team must be ready to take on the World next summer.

“The most important thing is that Nigeria won,”he told Completesportsnigeria.com shortly after his arrival from India where he was on a FIFA assignment.

“I saw the game and I think they did well. In a game like that, you just need to win, and that was why the aesthetic of the game was obviously missing.

“Now that they have qualified, the team must be ready to take on the World. The likes of Italy could not qualify automatically, that shows you the gap between the small teams and the big ones is closing gradually.”

Aina is a temporary fix for LB. we've seen someone better than fry pan (Echiejile).
As regards scouting, we already know our options. All we need to do is make the move, get them, and let's see if they can even beat Aina at LB. if not they are not good enough o.. Aina for now is our wing back -- both left and right. With the little i've seen of him, I rate him higher than "you know who"

Mujtahida:
Not alterations but back ups if not competitors. What if(God forbid) Balogun or Troost get injured?
Cos we just have Awaziem for now. Omeruo, I no dey. Echiejile has Aina for now although it's better for Aina to jostle for the right back notwithstanding the good performances of Shehu. That means we must still scout for a left back.

If I were Tammy's agent, I would tell him to say exactly what he said to the media. I'm sure the boy got professional advice on that.
There was no better way to have said it after being put in that position.

Loogan:
I think we should take it easy on Tammy sure it looks like he embarrassed a very proud Nigeria, but we have to admit pinnick kind of put him in that position, he needs to take it easy with this media talk, he dosent need to expose our plans everytime, he put Tammy in that position. Although I am not cutting him any slack there are ways things can be said where no harm is done on both sides, he hurt Nigerians with what he said, but I think it was inexperience and he will learn...we also need to think about things from him own side, he sure will be under pressure from England especially when he's a good young player and thev lost iwobi and Moses it definitely will piss them off and you know politics. But I don't think we will miss him in Russia he's not a significant upgrade on iheanacho. Dessers is only a matter of time when he proves himself this season he can be in Russia.
if it is talent for the future we have guys like umar sadiq, bonaventure, onyekuru, awoniyi, Osinmeh, nazifi yahaya, Ike ugbo who can be world beaters in a few years. It's only coz Tammy his in form now.
We Nigerians should try to be less emotional on these topics because 90% of the time the real truth dosent make the media, we should try see it for a sec from their point of view, most of these dual nationality guys don't feel Nigerian atall but we expect them to want to play for Nigeria just coz their parents are from there?
But it's not "they should stop embarrassing us, we should stop embarrassing ourselfs because we accept mediocrity dosent mean they should.
We have all the talent in the world and players who are ready to sacrifice all for Nigeria in Nigeria let's work on that, thank God we already are.

Moses actually did well. Based on what we've known him for, he was below par against Zambia. That was my assessment of him after the game. That's how I think highly of him. You are spot on, on that.

Mujtahida:
That guy was rampant on Saturday though not as effective in his runs like at other times. Truly he is the one that drives our attack. He defends too and he never tires out. I wonder where his reserve of strength and power comes from. If he has a good left back who combines with him on the left it would really be prime football. Aina showed some attacking flair, combining beautifully with Moses but I still prefer Aina playing on the right.

Did you ask me to define pressing earlier in my terms? I'm coming. I want to believe we have a different outlook as regards the term. I'm reading the pages I have missed.

TheGoodJoe:
How can you disagree with Iheanacho pressing better than Ighalo? It was so obvious in the last game. Mikel had to do it. Ighalo could not. If Nacho was there, we would have pressed with more intensity. Nacho trumps in that.

Read that article about Iwobi I posted earlier.

TheGoodJoe:
Either Tammy wants us or he is waiting for Tunde. It is as simple as that. For now, he has made it clear that the U21 of England is his focus. Finito. Blaming Pinnick's ill-timed announcement is like complaining about the cheap ring a man used to propose.

BELGIAN-NIGERIAN STRIKER DESSERS TO AUDITION FOR ROHR BEFORE EAGLES GAME AGAINST ALGERIA

Belgium born Nigerian forward Cyril Dessers is among a set of players under consideration for a call up to the Super Eagles camp in Morocco ahead of their clash against Algeria.
Nigeria will hold a training camp in Morocco before their dead rubber final World Cup 2018 Qualifiers tie against Algeria, and a friendly game has been planned before the game.
Dessers has been placed under close watch by coach Gernot Rohr of the Super Eagles with the performance of the FC Utrecht forward closely been watched by scouts of the Franco-German coach.
The forward who is eligible for Nigeria and Belgium has already declared his intention to represent Nigeria despite having one call up to the Belgium U20 although he didn’t get to play.
22 year old Dessers has four goals in the first seven games of the Dutch top flight league for Utrecht, the team he joined in the summer from NAC Breda where his 22 goals haul helped the team to promotion to the Dutch first division.

After our Algeria match, we will have to revisit this list

I don't think you understand the process of switch of allegiance. Besides as regards the steps that were taken by Pinnick, and the developments, his reaction etc, when I get the time I will analyze everything and break it down for you. In fact i'm going to write something like an article here, taking all the statements made by the parties involved into context. Remember even then I was saying it here that he didn't turn Nigeria down, and that Pinnick never said he chose Nigeria. some of you felt differently.. Right now the media is saying Tammy has now made a U-turn. We need to learn to read the quotes and read between the lines. The headlines are just a spin. There is no such thing as a U-turn, as he never turned NIgeria down in the first place.

Let me ask you a few questions, maybe you can read between the lines.
Why didn't Tammy tell the English press that there was a meeting with NFF/Pinnick as regards switching to Nigeria, and that his agent and dad were present? Why wasn't he specific about the meeting?
Why did he only say that his dad and Pinnick were friends and didn't say more? Think

safarigirl:
which switch?

So, you think Tammy will be under less pressure from the press in two months? You think he will jist go and switch and the English press will not hear about it after this debacle?

And later you will accuse someone else of dreaming....grin

on point!!!

femianski:
for me ighalo had a nice game
concerning that counter attack that iwobi set up ighalo shouldn't have cut back he should have tried to use his left foot
am sure kelechi would have converted that chance cos he is a left footer
but if we should take a close look at ighalo performance he did well (a bit above average) cos of his work rate except from the chance he missed from Moses Simon cross
he was too slow to convert that Chance
I am sure kelechi would have converted that chance cos he gets into scoring positions
to crown it all both ighalo and kelechi shouldn't be written off cos they are very good in their own talent
ighalo can bully but his finishing is a bit above average while kelechi is a wonderful finisher but he needs to improve on his strength and first touch

Talks with Tammy and his agent, together with his father have been held. We have played our part. They picked the form. Will they fill it and turn it in? Really, the ball is now on their court.
Calling for another talks is going too far. Or is anyone suggesting that Tammy should be promised a world cup slot or what? What else will Pinnick be telling them now besides what has already been said?
