A draw for Egypt would have still knocked Ghana out of contention

Those kind of games can be difficult. Now we see how Egypt struggled against Congo. Nigeria try well well!!!

how many replays FIFA won order? African football is a joke!

WAs the penalty call legit?

tglobal:
Late drama in Cairo. Egypt now leading 2-1 from injury time penalty. A draw would have kept Uganda in with a shout and also given Ghana a strong reason to pursue their wrongful officiating claim

It will be a great thing to have that kind of forward that is an allrounder. Onyekuru have been converting with his head lately. Let's not downplay the lad because of his size. grin

Oh and I forgot to add, in one of our build up Ndidi was begging for the ball to be laid to him, but it was played to Simon. We still have those kind of chances to capitalize. We don forget say Ndidi sabi long range shot.
Still no dead ball specialist, talking direct freekicks. That's why I will always welcome the idea of new players, maybe they have what some of our players have and also have other strengths to add. Is Aluko good at freekicks?

Mujtahida:
I agree especially to the psychologist. He dribbles wella.

No player deserves a spot. An invitation? maybe.

TheGoodJoe:
I have not watched Tega. I will watch out for him. If he is good enough and ready to play for us, then he deserves a spot. We need the very best Nigerian. Whether home grown or foreign.

No I don't think he wanted to do it fancifully. I think he was under pressure, and wanted a sure sight at goal. He was not alert to convert half chances. The one Simon played to him, he should have anticipated it to go that direction, when Simon raced to lay the pass. Clinical forwards would have sprinted fast to connect it. Mweene would have been left helpless. Another case in point was when the ball fell to his left leg. He tried to settle to take the shot with his right, and a Zambian defenders caught up with him. Then there was this half chance he missed in the first half. I think he was not as daring for goals as he was against Cameroon in Uyo. And I will attribute that to the pressure he had to score. Ighalo is a very fine forward. He showed it in the EPL. But he somehow bows out to pressure when lots of expectations are put on him. I think he needs a special psychologist to work with him.

Mujtahida:
I've maintained that Ighalo played well only he wasn't clinical cos he wanted to do it fancifully rather than keep it simple like Iwobi. One thing worries me though: we don't score from outside the 18yard box. All our goals have come from within the box. Our rate of converting free kicks is zero, from corners just one. We need to improve on all these.

Awaziem and Agbo must be tested against Algeria before been considered 3rd or 4th choice CB.

Ighalo was impressive yesterday, only that he didn't score. Did anyone notice, he was trying to pull off a similar thing that lead to our only goal in Yaounde. Coincidentally, it was Moses Simon again who was meant to finish it, but the latter's overambitious bicycle kick sent the ball wide.

komekn:
Tammy offer almost the same clinical finishing of KC maybe even better as he shoots with both feet unlike KC and has an eye for goals, a real poacher but with Shakara, he can dribble. He then offers an aerial threat also he is deceptively fast with his long legs. He is quite resilient and strong but not as strong as Ighalo. However, I suspect world cup referees may not take too kindly to too much physical play. In this regard he may not need that level of strength. As he will draw fouls using intelligent play.

Tammy is in a somewhat struggling team who will not create many chances for him. So his goal tally in Swansea team will not be too.

Who is best open to debate. I still think Ighalo is best all rounder who creates a lot of chances and will bully most defences in the World cup.

No player should be GUARANTEED a spot just by allegiance switch. I'm against that. If he commits to Nigeria early, and shows that he deserves a spot. Why not? He has to demonstrate that he is good enough, regardless.

I agree on Iwobi.. Sarenren Bazee looks like a decent winger. Hopefully he gets over his injury worries soon, let's see what he can bring.

Mujtahida:
You have covered the whole ground. My greatest concern is that defence. But I'd prefer Iwobi playing from the centre so that he can pierce defences with his splitting passes although playing on the right offers the team tactical maneuverability.

Rohr hasn't gotten the ideal CMF and DMF pairing yet.
Truly Ezenwa has calmness. I wasn't even afraid for him yesterday even though I was under pressure.
If we can get that Tammy it would bolster our attack but Nwakaeme deserves to be tested yet.

PR Nightmare is what I call it. What we have here is a 19 year old who has to answer to the UK media. He has to answer to his coach at Swansea. He has to answer to the English FA. He has to answer to his U-21 coach who said it's always a matter of a phone call away whenever he hears rumors. This boys have strong bonds to peers and a network of UK football personalities. It's important he maintains a good PR image there. His reaction was more about saying his relationship with them stays the same, than actually turning down Nigeria. He only reiterated his commitment to England and never implied an allegiance switch talk was even on the table. Let's read between the lines, and not put the boy under undue pressure.

Do we need Tammy? Maybe not. But this has nothing to do with player ego. We have already made our move. The needed have been done. Now it's left for Tammy and his father to make a final decision. Of course, that's if there is any to be made.

safarigirl:
azzin. Haba! Tammy of all people, how can you say we have pride if we want to keep running after someone who embarrassed us publicly?

Some are even making excuses for him, is it not a shameless behaviour? When Tammy is not Messi. How low can we go?

I am highly disappointed in anyone calling for Tammy. It just goes to show that we can never learn, these foreign players will keep taking us for granted if we continue with this terrible behaviour. Every single World Cup, we do this. We get rejected and still take the players who rejected us to World Cup.

We need to set a precedence, even if we don't go far in the WC because we did not take Tammy. I would rather that than throwing away our pride. Look at how France dropped Benzema, can we do that? That is pride, the national team is bigger than any individual player

AFRICA AS IT STANDS: Road To Russia

GROUP A
1. Tunisia (13 ) are favorites to qualify as they only need one point in their final game at home to Libya.
2. D.R. Congo (10 ) MUST beat Guinea at home and hope that Tunisia lose at home to Libya to level with Tunisia in points. Goals differential and aggregate will then be considered, for them to stand a chance.
3. Guinea (3 ) are out.
4. Libya (3 ) are out of contention.

GROUP B
1. Nigeria are through

GROUP C
1. Morocco (9 ) are current leaders and only need to hold Ivory Coast away to reserve their ticket to Russia.
2. Ivory Coast (8 ) will be playing for a win to qualify.
3. Gabon (5 ) will play for pride when they host Mali
4. Mali (3 ) have only scored a goal so far in the qualifiers. They must try to work on that in the dead rubber game.

GROUP D
1. Senegal (8 ). To qualify, they will need two points from their double-header against South Africa, or one point depending on the other result.
2. Burkina Faso (6 ). Burkina Faso MUST beat Cape Verde at home to stand a chance. They must also hope that South Africa beat Senegal with a wide goal margin in one game, and hold them to a draw in the other.
3. Cape Verde (6 ) MUST beat Burkina Faso away to stand a chance. They must also hpe that South Africa beat Senegal with an even wider goal margin, and hold Senegal to a draw in the other.
4. South Africa (4 ). Two wins over Senegal will guarantee them a spot in Russia.

GROUP E
1. Egypt (9 ) will qualify with a game to spare if they beat Congo at home. Else, they will have to wait till their final round of matches.
2. Uganda (8 ) MUST win away to Congo, and hope that Egypt don't pick more than a point in their last two matches to stand a chance.
3. Ghana (6 ) still stand a chance -- surprisingly. They must beat Egypt away, IF and ONLY IF Egypt fail to get at least a point today (versus Congo). Also hoping Uganda lose their final match. Hence, they must pray for Congo to win their last two matches -- a mountain too high.
4. Congo (1 ) can only be the spoilers, should Egypt fail to clinch the ticket later today.

PREM ACE SEX SHAME
Premier League star Isaac Success arrested after ‘paying four hookers £2,000 for a hotel romp’ and ‘angrily demanding his cash back

A PREMIER League ace paid four hookers £2,000 for a hotel romp — but failed to score with any of them after drinking two bottles of Baileys.

Watford’s Isaac Success, 21, was arrested after angrily demanding his money back.

Escort Alexis Domerge said the Watford star boasted of his prowess in the bedroom after paying the women £2,000 for a hotel romp.

But the 21-year-old, who has found the net only once in 19 Watford appearances, drank two bottle of Baileys — and then repeatedly failed to score with the hookers.

When the women decided to blow the whistle on Success’s lacklustre performance after 90 minutes, he angrily demanded his money back.

He was arrested in the hotel lobby after cops were called.

The Watford star became angry and demanded his money back after the girls called time on the romp
Alexis, 24, said: “He accused us of ripping him off and asked for his money to be returned.

“It was terrifying. He had paid four of us £500 each to party with him and we all got naked as soon as the money came through on our phone bank accounts.

“He was drinking Baileys straight from the bottle.

“He must have chugged at least two. I pulled off his shorts and got down to it with three other girls doing everything you could imagine.

“But he was getting frustrated. What do you expect if you drink two bottles of Baileys liqueur straight from the bottle?”

Fellow escort Michaela Carter, 30, said: “He had a nice body and all four of us massaged him for a full hour and a half — as long as a football match.

“He had been boasting to us all night about how much he earned and how much fun we were going to have.

“But it’s fair to say that Mr Success did not live up to his name during our night together.

“He seemed really keen on Baileys — swigging the stuff out of the bottle. It made me cringe because it’s so sickly sweet.

“He seemed a bit shy and awkward, probably because he’s only 21. After a bit of chat Alexis took charge and said it was time to get down to business.

Alexis says the Prem star became frustrated but blamed his performance on the booze
Alexis says the four escorts all got naked as soon as the money came through on their bank accounts
“She laughed and told him, ‘We want your money before the honey’.

“So he transferred £2,000 straight to one of the girls which was divided between the four of us.

“The partying started as soon as the money came into our accounts and we all stripped off.

“All five of us were squirming around on the bed but after a while we realised the Baileys had taken its toll.

“Eventually, I told him I couldn’t stay any longer and we couldn’t give him extra time. That’s when things started to get nasty.

“There was a lot of screaming which must have woken the entire hotel.

“At that point the police were called. We were all making a terrible racket.

“I ended up with a slight cut on my face and a bruise on my arm during the chaos.

“I don’t know how it happened. During the row I also stumbled backwards and broke the heels of my £600 Louboutin shoes. It meant I was already £100 down.”

Michaela claims the footballer boasted about his high earnings#
Things turned nasty when the girs told Success they couldnt give him extra time

Nigerian international Success, who earns £30,000 a week, booked the four girls after spending the night at a lap-dancing club in London’s West End.
In the early hours they were texted the details of the luxury Sopwell House hotel, Herts, where Success had hired a first-floor suite.

Michaela said: “We met him and a couple of his mates in reception but they left, leaving just Isaac and the four of us.

“We went up to his room. It was a nice room and I could tell he had lots of money because there were designer clothes in there and Christian Louboutin trainers which can cost £800 a pair.

“He offered us drinks then started boasting about how rich he was.

“He said, ‘You won’t believe how much I earn in 90 minutes’.”

Alexis, from Brooklyn, New York, said: “I was actually quite turned on by his body. He’s beautifully toned.

“Eventually, Michaela and one of the other girls broke it to him that they couldn’t stay any longer.

“But he then accused us of ripping him off and demanded his money back.

“Several police cars arrived really quickly and about five officers came in and cuffed his hands behind his back and took him outside.

“Success admitted that he had paid us for sex.

“But he also claimed we’d cheated him out of the cash, without mentioning the reason why he didn’t have sex.

“All this commotion was more than the hotel management could take and they ordered us out of the hotel — including him.

“It’s a really nice place and I guess this isn’t the sort of behaviour they tolerate.”

The hookers said Success later called his bank and had the payments to them stopped.

Alexis said: “We couldn’t believe it when he accused us of cheating him and got the bank to get him his money back.

“We made a deal and it wasn’t our fault he didn’t have a good time. His behaviour was off the scale.”
Success signed for Watford from Spanish side Granada for £12.5million last July — then a record fee for the Hertfordshire club.

He has struggled to make the starting line-up since.
He sat out Watford’s 2-0 away win at Southampton on September 9 but went out on the town in London the following day before hooking up with the girls.
Alexis and Michaela and another 34-year-old escort were recruited by a fourth hooker, a friend of Success’s.

A Hertfordshire Police spokesman said: “Police are investigating an allegation of assault reported to have occurred at 6.30am at Sopwell House in St Albans on Monday September 11.

“A 21-year-old man was arrested and de-arrested and inquiries are ongoing.”

Joe, CIV doesn't deserve to be there. Their current squad is BS. Their golden generation is over. Mali had them on the ropes yesterday. Only inexperience and luck stopped Mali from scoring a few goals in that game.

When everyone is saying he is the weak link some of you are seeing something else. I wonder if na another match una watch. I've noticed his deficiencies long even when it did not seem apparent.

Kindly point to the times these happened. The weak link of defense was Leon Balogun but most are too scared to say this.

yes that was definitely offside. At the that very key moment the ball was passed, he was ahead of our defense line. World Class decision by the referee. That decision was a close one, but spot on. It could have gone either way.

Iwobi wasn't offside.. The replays were done, and even the commentator attested to it. Iwobi timed his run perfectly

Watch it very well and you will know he was offside
He didn't have to be out and out offside cuz he was inches ahead of the last defender and the lineman got it spot on

Ghana be trending like they were just robbed. WHEN Egypt wins tomorrow, the best they can get from FIFA is a life ban of those match officials who are a disgrace to Africa. Egypt to qualify regardless.

They will fail. It was actually offside. I stand to be corrected. You want to look at when the first contact when the pass was made. That very moment when the passer kicks the ball, the receiver should not be ahead -- even slightly ahead - of the opponent's defense line. I stand to be corrected on the offside rules. If what I said is true, then they will fail in their bid.

Ghana should just wait for the outcome of the Egypt game before making a complaint. And even if they want to, the best they could possibly get is a life ban of the referee. Even the linesman played a part in that very bad call.

Daejoyoung:
I think the Zambians are also thinking about doing same, but if they do, there was also a wrong offside call against lwobi.
