I didn't watch the entire game.. but he was trash from what I saw.. in fact the whole team is trash.. thanks to JP Odunayaw: Were it not for Aribo's throughball we for de talk about 1D 1L.
Was piss poor in the game but at least we thank him for that. |

He has made the job difficult for the next coach.. Let's be realistic.. let's get a very good tactician and even if he fails to qualify us for the WC, let's accept the deed was already done with JP. we will need to be patient with the next coach.. but let's get it right this time, once and for all.. I don give up for AFCON and WC at this stage. If JP is not fired before AFCON, I'm done with football jihday: Looking to the bright side, possibly we’ll be 4pts behind SA all we have to do it make sure we don’t drop points again. Surely Peseiro won’t coach any qualifier game again. At worst he’ll get fired after Afcon |

JP may make Rohr look good. but that doesn't mean Rorh is good.. There are many coaches in the world.. why do we need to settle for mediocre performance? COOL10: LMFAO. I'm as cool as a #20 piece of ice block on a hot Sunday afternoon 😄 (check Moniker).
We can all see what his replacements have done so far. They've made sincere effoers to put the integrity and National pride of the Super Eagles of Nigeria in its final resting place 😆 |

Realistically, we can win the rest of our games (home and away) if all hands are on deck with a serious manager at the helm. I'm looking ahead of AFCON. Let's accept that's another tourney (AFCON) wasted because NFF failed to the right thing earlier. |

Tomorrow's game will be another scrappy affair. We just need a win, to keep our hopes alive, while a new coach finishes the qualification job. |

we for speak all this English the time when NFF wan employ JP. Abi e no follow when na foreign coach? Mujtahida: It's all conjecture until it is done. When Amunike comes in now and things go south, we will cry for him to be relieved from the job. That's my point. I'm neither for or against Eguavoen, Amunike or Siasia. And an argument for or against can be made for every one of them. |

Very well said Amedino99: maybe that explains the reason we elect bad leaders. We are so deep in mediocrity that we long for days when we were also mediocre. We too dey forget things for this for this country. Foreign based players hustle afcon ticket, one bros dey talk say make we carry people wey no fit even qualify for baby afcon as the majority of the squad. Our reasonings at times too deh funny.. |

Amedino99: People that sat down and watched how we laboured just to qualify from a group of minnows during the last WCQ under rohr are still asking for rohr back. Nigerians are really special characters. That we want pj out does not mean we have to go backward na. |

Amuneke has coached in different capacity. May not have won anything besides the U17. But you cannot compare that with someone who only has NPFL experience. I will not rate any coach wirh NPFL experience ALONE. That league is riddled with poor officiating. Things may have changed a bit now though. joelsteron: Where did Amuneke coached last. All these old glory idea sef.

I had to revise my rating of Iheanacho. I think he, Iwobi and Ajayi (because he scored), were our top performers. |

You don’t lose your coaching acumen by just being out of the job for a period. We need a coach that is abreast with modern tactics and is exposed internationally. I won’t go by NPFL experience alone. Finidi is also a good option. Tell me more about Gbenga. AndSunGorilla: Why not Gbenga Odubote as he has been busy working. Amuneke hasn't been on the touchline for a while and it seems he got fired from the online Zambian work he has been doing. My point is, let's employ somewhere who hasn't been job idle for a period greater than 6 months |

If Oliseh were the NFF technical director, any whitebman that desires to be SE coach will have to be very good. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 7:15pm On Nov 17, 2023 |
The point is get a good coach with tactical acumen, then give him time. Not just any local coach. Eguavoen is a Guardiola wanna be. He has no ideas besides trying to reinvent SE of the 90s. You need a coach like Amuneke, then give him all the support and time. Oliseh should maybe replace Eguavoen as NFF technical director. Someone who is always in the FIFA technical committee definitely knows more about these matters and would have better judgement. Mujtahida: Then when Amunike loses one match, we will call for his sack, then hire a washed out, journeyman oyibo coach who will dull our eyes with dreary football, then we will cry for an indigenous coach to be appointed and then the circle continues.
I never supported Eguavoen's sack. If we had let him continue, I believe he would have learnt some lessons.
Black man, we are always magical in our thinking. We want results but not ready to follow the processes that leads to success. |
