Let me say it again our performance will depend on the strength of our midfield.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 2:34am On Dec 17, 2023
lol.

That attack when we dey depend on, the time we lose one or two main players, we go start to shake. E come be like say being stacked will be a curse because we are not choosing our best still.

I just hope Osimhen and Moffi will be back in time. Else, we will be depending on the likes of Sadiq, Akor, Onuachu and maybe Dessers 😂
Just hoping we get right in midfield. That’s where our hope truly lies.

For me Orban would have been that X factor. That nationality rumors is plain nonsense.

Since Thesupernerd is on his usual sabbatical leave, and Charlesemeka85, depsite repeated mentions has, for reasons best known to him decided to snub the committee (depsite giving assurance of his availability twice), we will be moving on.
The final list of nominees will be compiled shortly..

We won AFCON in 1994 and Amuneke was also crowned APOTY that year if I’m not mistaking. 30 years after, can Peseiro do it? I think Osimhen as captain is a good call. We need a serious captain that can help the morale of our team.

For clarity sake, #15 is open to ALL players of Nigerian origin, born at home or abroad, but NOT open to players that is impossible for them to honor a call immediately (require a switch from another country)

We can vote on this.

Danielnino00:
Good morning gentlemen.

Based on the responses given, it's clear that everyone want us to adopt the former criteria for nomination.
So here we go....

All committee members are to nominate 3 names for each category, and the names with the most nomination would be selected for the final round of voting by all Nairalanders. In the event that there is a tie in the names nominated, all members of the committee will have to vote on it.
The criteria for nomination include:
1. All nomination should fall under the year 2023 in review.
2. Number 4 (most impactful new inclusion) refers to a player who made his super eagles debut this year and left a good impression
3. Number 15 (prospect of the year) refers to a player of Nigerian origin, regardless of his age who is eligible to represent Nigeria, but hasn't, and is highly talented.
4. For those of us who might be forgetful, its recommended that we tune in to Bascovanveli YouTube channel (Naija bias football channel) for highlights of super eagles games this year to help in deciding the nomination for nunber 11 and 12.
5. Nomination closes on Friday 15th December 2023.

My intention was all players of Nigerian origin that has not played for the Super Eagles.

For #15 does the player have to be a 'foreign born', or any Nigerian player, irrespective of whether local or foreign born?

Tosin does.

Billing is tied to Denmark

Modified
You are right. Those were likely friendlies
ChrisKels:
Tosin doesn't need any FIFA clearance. He has never played an official match for England at any level.

About Billing, what do we need him for? He should continue with Denmark. He is not needed here.

Tosin and Billing still need to apply for a switch
ChrisKels:
If the coach wasn't an ekuke, Fulham has already giving him a blue print of the centre back combo that could bring him success, and he needs to act fast, especially as Adarabioyo doesn't require any special FIFA clearance to play for Nigeria, everything could be taken care of within a week since the boy already has a Nigerian passport.
