Definitely they maxed out their credit card in Nigeria. They took advantage of T+1 payment cycle due to the fact that the merchant/acquirer is in a country different from the cardholder bank. In layman's terms if you are doing an overseas transaction normally with a Nigerian USD card, the debit is not taken immediately from your account, but because Nigerian banks understand Nigerian consumer behavior they remove the funds and warehouse them in either uncleared effects or they place a lien on that amount, so that you cannot touch it again, then they debit it once settlement is achieved. But it is not so for foreign cards used outside their country of domicilliation. The funds still remain there until settlement, then it is debited. So these guys understand the game So these guys are criminals and they now maxed out their credit card here and now initiate dispute and cash back once they get back to their base in the diaspora.

The major culprit is preoccupation!
I just alighted from a danfo on an ever-busy bustop. I quickly cross toward the empty BRT lane and got preoccupied with counting my balance.
Unknowing to me one BRT bus was speeding and
furiously blaring it's horn toward me but my preoccupied mind just interpreted everything as one of the Buses plying the busy major roads behind and Infront, not the empty BRT lane!
Fortunately as I wasn't in a hurry to cross the lane, the BRT bus could only hit my stretch arms counting the money before I immediately jump back!
It's even worse on Train track for first-time visitors and preoccupied minds where traders displays their wares.
These traders are well attune to the sight and sounds of the train so much so they hardly panic and leave less than a meter space between them and the moving train!
A first-time visitor or preoccupied mind can hardly interprete what's really going on until too late...
they find themselves on the track and got hit!

Even if ure not standing on d rail, d vibration of a moving train send waves to even d foundations of neighbouring buildings and shops , talkless of when standing directly on d rail.

Unless d guys has lost both sense of sight, hearing and feeling, combined with maybe an epilepsy or loss of consciousness before the accident. Then just maybe.
