@joeGH, you're just weeping up unnecessary defensive nationalism. What's so special about your Ghana? I What weight does your much -vaunted country pull in the league of nations? You lack the single-minded efficacy to see the dynamics in diplomacy in the interaction of nations. Severing diplomatic and bilateral ties is an option that's open to aggrieved partners within this compass. And since your rat-hole country has attained the acme of insufferable arrogance, it's best we severed this unprofitable relationship.
Well, I won't vocalize much; I ll only refer u to a statement in my maiden writeup; NIGERIA'S PERCEPTION OF HIMSELF AS BEING A SUPERPOWER IS NOTHING BUT GRANDIOSITY...So in ur mind u think u exert influence in the League of Nations (UNITED NATIONS) as claimed by u.. A country that always serve as a typical case study as far as a failed nation is under consideration??.. Comics!!

@joeGH, so why are you hysterical and on a Nigerian site? What will your vacuous commercialism do for Nigerians anyway?
If those Nigerians come back home, they can do business among themselves. So,in the main it may be be tough, but in the end ,we won't miss your piss-poor economy.
Stop being petty, sentimental n overly temperamental..I never said any Nigerian be repatriated.
On the contrary, ur writeup suggested so by inference; you said the two countries shld severe ties with each other without prior rigorous weighing of the dire consequence it ll av on your country.
I only sought to put the frontal lobe of ur Cerebrum to work, inorder for u to come to terms with the effect of what u seek for.
And the bit about me following Nigerian sites, I'm disappointed such is coming from a Schooled vertebrate like u evidenced by ur writeup to think as such especially bearing in mind that we are in a global village n therefore no news n info is to far from man to reach.
I can say without fear that u equally follow foreign sites that are alien to the Nigerian geography; I ll be very surprise if the opposite is true.
In future, approach issues devoid of unnecessary sentiments. Peace!!

"Nigeria should severe diplomatic ties with these arrogant n intolerable people".. But what do some of u Nigerians think at all.. U don't supplement the Ghanaian budget in anyway, neither do u supply any essential services to Ghana..If ties are severed today, do u know ur country Nigeria stands to lose bigger than Ghana.. Do a research on the ratio of Nigerians in Ghana to that of Ghanaians in Nigeria, may be u ll reform ur thinking afterwards..Imagine that both country are to repatriate the citizens of the other following severing of ties, who stands to lose??.. Education / Re: Aerial And Ground Pictures Of The University Of Ghana by joeGH: 10:49am On Jun 12, 2020
Excuses:
Nigerians never appreciate their own..why..? why are we so dumb on appreciating everything foreign but feign on our own..
Ghana has nine states with 2 universities..and a population less than 35 million.

By the way, the universities look good.

Nigeria with more than 170 universities and a population of over 200 million..still puts on with herself..surprisingly enough Lagos and Kano put together are more than Ghana.

No Ghanaian or south African will talk low on their country like we do. we contribute to the reasons these guys feel threads like this could make us feel inferior about our own.

South Africa is currently witnessing an economic downturn that is second to non..that's the reason why there were chasing and killing other nationals in their country..

Naija is trying..

The only challenge is population explosion leading to expansion without sustainable increase in infrastructure and boundaries to suit the needs and demands of teeming population..

Note: with good leaders and efficient use of resources naija is cool.
So why are most of u Nigerians quick to provide statistics n data about Ghana, a country u obviously know nothing about judging from ur supposed facts n figures.
Firstly, u are quick to point out the number of states in Ghana which is far from the truth but I will excuse ur ignorance; to assist u, Ghana as a country does not even operate by the "state" system or whatever u mention to start with .. In Ghana there are what we call Regions and there are actually sixteen of them.
Also, ur assertion that Ghana has only 2 state universities amazes me, where did u get that from??.With our small population size relative to ur giant by population size but ant by impact, there are about 20 acclaimed public universities including technical universities, not to talk of the over 60 private universities as well as nursing n teacher training institutions which are uncountable.. And a very important point to note, Each university occupies a very huge land mass hence more student intake not the secondary school size universities u Nigerians have been making noise about;u will go to a Ghanaian university n u ll be tempted to think u are in a whole state in Nigeria.
Lastly, about the land size; Nigeria:923768km^2, Ghana:238535km^2.. By this, it means the land mass of Nigeria is approximately 3.87 times that of Ghana..By population density; Nigeria- 212.04/km^2..Ghana-121/km^2 which means Nigeria is overpopulated.
You have 36 states, to say Lagos n Kano combined is larger than Ghana is a palpable lie; if it is true that the two states are that large, then I can imagine the land mass of the remaining 34 states with reference to the data I av given u concerning the land mass ratio of Ghana and Nigeria, may be as small as ur kitchen I guess.

On a more serious note, don’t be surprised if - as I’ve often suspected and stated - much of the negative writings on Nigeria out there on youtube and other platforms are by Ghanaians including much of the stuff Nigerians attribute to IPOB. Their government sponsors them in order to deter investment in Nigeria or bring Nigeria to its knees for the economic benefit of Ghana
Mr Litmus, did u just type the above words??.. Come on, Ghanaians spend their time on lucrative ventures...I'm surprise; you even went the extent of involving the Ghanaian government in this ur whole untruth.. If u care to know, as a country, we have a lot of positives such as our vibrant democracy, stable electricity supply to sustain n maintain hence the last thing we will ever do is to meddle in trivialities such as the one u stated in ur write up.. wait, av a second look at those words u typed.. "Nigeria government must demand Ghana rescind this law as one of the conditions to opening our border to their goods"... So u belief Nigeria being a sovereign state can force Ghana another sovereign state, who attained his sovereignty even before ur country thought of starting the push for his independence to rescind such a law??..The reality is that no Ghanaian is saddened by ur so-called border closure, as a matter of fact, the GUTA commended ur government for such act which is aimed at augmenting the buoyancy of ur economy n the indigenous traders and actually called on the Ghanaian government to emulate same.

I hope you look at the market numbers, and the difference between a Nigerian and Ghanian, we are go-getters, Ghanians are laid back...you can't be what you ain't...the land size to population ratio thing is senseless, it does not give you any real advantage. , Nigeria has the most fertile lands, and more resources than Ghana,On your gold resources, Anglo gold gives your government less than 15%, you guys live on aids, google it and see for yourself, Nigeria FG receives no foreign direct aid, unlike Ghana gets yearly from the US, we help other nations, you see what am saying, Ghana is dependent on aids to survive, so stop comparing yourself to Nigeria, deal with Togo. let's talk numbers, market indices and influence, not nonsense talk.

I remember when your short monkey looking President wanted to pass a law that will enable the prosecution of those caught engaging in homosexual acts, but as soon as your masters in America and UK threaten to stop the aids your poor country get, your government recants, today Ghana is a tourist center for gays, tunneling the ass of poor Ghana boys with small dollars in exchange, but in Nigeria we shunned them, gays here get 14years imprisonment, so we don't ask for aids from any nation, we are self sufficient...I only go to Ghana to relax cos its quiet like my village... without Nigeria's investors, cash inflow and market you guys will suffer, but we can live without you. OH Gracious lord jux when I thought l av settled this issue of supremacy by the enough facts n figures I av enumerated, then another "ignorant" nigerian springs up from nowhere to banter.. OK now let's do this analysis; England has a land mass of about 130279 Sq km with a population of about 55million inhabitants n Nigeria, land mass of approximately 923763 Sq km and a population of roughly 200 million inhabitants, yet Nigeria always go to the former cup-in-hand for aid else it will starve to death...So u see ur argument on the basis of land size does not hold water n is therefore declared null n void, in fact invalid... nxt time don't ever argue base on land mass.. I'm at a loss as to what to say about ur write-up above...first of all, ur border closure decision has nothing to do with flexing of ur muscles or sneezing as u put it...U Nigerians are quick to talk about who will lose in such actions; may be other countries in the subregion will, but certainly not Ghana.. If u care to noe, do u have the idea the no. of imports that come to our ports belonging to Nigerians on daily basis compared to the reverse...The government of Nigeria has disregarded n disrespected the ECOWAS agreement of which you are a signitory to by this singular act of border closure.. Currently the nigerian government has banned the entry of about 43 or more goods from other countries in the subregion which contravenes the ECOWAS accord, again nigerian goods like Dangote cement move easily into other countries in the subregion such as Ghana and u think its OK for the reverse not to happen... GUTA of Ghana demonstrated for the enforcement of a legislation in our country's constitution concerning foreigners in retailing but our government was adamant to act n up till today has not acted singularly due to the fact that most of such foreigners in the retail business are nigerians n especially bearing in mind the relationship that exists between the two countries cannot be treated as such by our laws... The earlier the nigerian government rescinds their decision the better for us all, because if it is to continue u ll be surprised Nigeria ll be the bigger loser.. Sometimes land mass n population size does not matter, if it does in all cases Nigeria with a population of roughly 200 million inhabitants will not go looking for aid in England... Gud luck.

Big brother to small brother view is the reason why Nigeria and Ghana are probably the closest countries in the west african sub region. Ghana is sorrounded on every side by french countries who do not like Ghana and Nigeria is the only "almost" co English speaking plus co ex british colony like Ghana.

Ghana depends on Nigeria for a lot of things. Like the professor said, in the area of education, Ghana depends heavily on Nigeria especially in the area of English or Brofu as you people call it.

There are places you will go to in Ghana and speak the simplest of English and what you will get would be shouts of praise of Brofu gbi Brofu Gbi everywhere because to them you just did the extra ordinary by speaking English.

If not for your current President education was a taboo for most families until he introduced free jhs and shs education. Now Nigerians are in high demand when it comes to teaching English in ghana. Our English to the average Ghanaian is exotic and because they always want to compete with Nigeria, our English teachers are like gold now to you.
