This is a tweet made by his lawyer. He says Okupe is a victim.of the Money Laundering Act, which is why the court gave him the payment option.
Okupe will pay N500,000 for each of of the counts he was found guilty of.

A lot has been said about former President Olusegun Obasanjo. He gets a lot of hate for the role he played at different point of the country.

But while OBJ clearly deserves a lot of sticks for his third term bid, a closer look would show he means well for the country.

In 2007, Obasanjo fought against the likes of Atiku, Peter Odili, Donald duke, Victor Attach and others to get Umaru Musa Yaradua the ticket.

Note: Yaradua was the best northern governor in the 1999 to 2003 set. And everyone today agrees that he was the best president we've ever had.
Obasanjo could have installed one of his Stooges in power, but he supported Yaradua who was in a different political family.

In 2010, he supported GEJ for president and also supported him in 2011. However, when the public view was that GEJ has failed, he wrote letter to GEJ advicing him and was later approached and supported Buhari in 2015.

But Buhari didn't live up to expectations. So in 2019 he supported AtIku.
Today, he's supporting Peter Obi.

When you look at all the positions he has taken, right from supporting Yaradua to GEJ to Buhari, Atiku and today Peter Obi.

You would realize that he wasn't in it for any financial gain, rather to salvage the country.

Nigerian Actor Ime Bishop Umoh, popularly known as Okon Lagos has endorsed Peter Ob of the Labour Party for president in the 2023 election.

They have been planning for this rally for more than a month. Atiku team paid SUG presidents in Anambra tertiary institutions to create WhatsApp group for people who want to attend.
Although its a wasted effort considering that every youth in Anambra is obedient, let's see if they can pull this off.

Jakande’s govt constructed the Adiyan Water Works to increase water supply in the state to 18 million litres per day. He modernized & expanded the Iju Water Works which was first commissioned in 1915. This increased daily capacity from 159 million to 204 million litres per day.
Jakande also built low cost housing estates all over Lagos, and he did all these things in less than 6 years.

Jakande built Lagos State Secretariat. He built the Lagos state house of assembly. He built the Lagos State Television. He built Lagos State university. He built general hospitals in every zone with free healthcare. Est water & waste management & traffic management authorities.

Which schoos or hospitals did Tinubu build?

One thing that's lacking in all of these manifestos is the how they intend to fund those nice projects and ideas they have.

Nigeria currently spends all of its revenue on debt servicing, so the person coming in will not meet any money there.

I've listened to the various candidates speak and here's what I got on how they want to fund the budget.


Atiku
Sell refinaries, NNPC, airports, federal universities and other infrastructures to raise 10 billion dollars. (Source: his speeches)

Increase the borrowing lid and borrow more .oney, print more money to fund infrastructural project. (Source: his manifesto)


Peter Obi
- Cut cost of governance with zero budgeting system.
- Deal with crude oil stealing to earn the 1 trillion lost monthly.
- Do away with fuel subsidy.
