The banks are working with political parties to frustrate distribution of the new naira notes. Nothing more. Banks that used to fear CBN, now don't care all of a sudden. While CBN governor is been chased around by DSS. The same DSS was nowhere when he bought presidential form. |

Here's a fact check of Peter Obi's engagement at Chattam House Yesterday.
|
For Federal Minister of Solid Minerals and later as Federal Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has asked PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to stop misleading the public about being the Head of the Economic Management Team. She claims he was never the head of the economic team. "Dear former Vice President Atiku, please ask the handlers of your @Twitter account to stop misleading the public. You were never the Head of the Economic Management Team. This absurd Lie does you no good at all. Please ask your Team to stop it. Happy New Year. Wish you well."

Realist12:Lol. Chattam house begged Peter Obi to appear. They said they've been trying to reach him for months. Not like Tinubu who lobbied to go there. |
The former Vice President also described Tinubu as a “wobbly, wonky and narcotic-devastated Presidential Candidate”. The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar has said his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart, Bola Tinubu is sick and unfit to be the Nigerian President. The former Vice President also described Tinubu as a “wobbly, wonky and narcotic-devastated Presidential Candidate”. On Wednesday, Tinubu in a statement by the Director, Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, said he has it on good authority that Atiku indeed fell ill and travelled to the UK to seek medical help. Reacting in a statement signed by the spokesperson for the Atiku-Okowa Campaign, Kola Ologbondiyan, Atiku said Tinubu is corrupt and unfit for public office owing to his alleged corruption. The statement read, “It is imperative to observe that our campaign had focused on issues and refrained from Tinubu’s appalling health issues prior to this ignoble public dance of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign. “However, since Tinubu by himself has opened the channels for Nigerians to examine his ill health, we have no other option than to further expose that the APC Candidate must be suffering from manifest Parkinson’s disease accompanied with incontinence. “For clarity, Parkinson’s disease is a brain disorder which symptoms include shaking hands, stiffness of limbs, difficulty with coordination, problem with balance when walking; articulation disorder, memory problems as well as general mental and physical weakness which are all being witnessed in the APC Presidential Candidate. “This perhaps accounts for the desperation, the endless gaffes, the articulation errors, the incoherence, the many blunders and disconnection from reality for which Asiwaju Tinubu has become the butt of weird jokes among Nigerians and internationally. “It is rather unfortunate that the APC Presidential Candidate, who cannot stand erect or walk up an elevation unaided, who is plagued by visible tremor of the hands, who palpitates at the slightest physical exertion and who is reported in the public space as being challenged by incontinence could attempt to speak on the health status of any Nigerian. Moreover, some medical professionals have associated certain cases of nerve cell death with narcotic use and unhealthy lifestyle and our campaign urges Tinubu to examine himself in that regard. “Furthermore, Nigerians find it incongruous that the tarnished Asiwaju Tinubu who is badgered by a smelly criminal past including the $460,000 forfeiture sentence for narcotic related offence by a Court of competent jurisdiction in the United States; alleged looting of Lagos State treasury and stripping of her property; cases of forgery, impersonation, perjury, inconsistencies in name, age as well as questionable educational background, ancestry and genealogy could attempt to speak on corruption and integrity. “Asiwaju Tinubu should rather hide his face in shame given his malodourous activities for which well-meaning Nigerians have dissociated themselves from his Presidential Campaign. “In any case, Nigerians are aware that Tinubu is not ethically, physically and mentally fit to hold office as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, unlike the decent, honest, physically, mentally and emotionally fit Atiku Abubakar, who exhibits the manifest readiness, intellectual alertness, capacity and experience to lead our nation at this critical time. “Those pushing Emilokan’s candidature cannot claim to be unaware that he is not fit to preside over a country of 200 million people. They just don’t wish Nigeria well.” https://saharareporters.com/2023/01/12/youre-mentally-physically-unfit-be-nigerian-president-your-hands-shake-because-you

lexylaw40:Tinubu is a laughing stock both in the South and North. He is relying on money and APC northern governors to win. |
OGwales:Which Ogun state? You mean Abeokuta? Because that's all there is about Ogun state. Anambra has Onitsha, Akwa and other cities. Ogun doesn't come close. Oyo, you mean Ibadan? The former southwestern capital with massive infrastructural investments right from pre-colonial times. Asides some parts of Ibadan, no other part of of Oyo comes close to Anambra. Lagos: Former capital? Travel to Portharcourt, and see what Wike did in 8 years, and you'll feel sorry for the glorified slum called Lagos. |
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has again made claims that he took Lagos IGR from N600 million to N5 billion monthly during his administration as governor of the state. Tinubu, who is the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 general elections, stated this during an interview with BBC News Africa. The video posted on Twitter on December 6 has since garnered over 1.5 million views as of Friday, December 9, 2022. In an attempt to convince the electorate to vote for him, Tinubu, who served as governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007, said he had a track record of building a modest state that could stand as a country. “I am Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I have governed Lagos. I built a modest state that could be a country on its own,” he said. “I have led an administration that is so prudent from N600 million internally generated revenue, to N5 billion a month. That’s a record. Nobody else can brag about that.” Tinubu and his cronies differ on Lagos IGR While Tinubu claims Lagos IGR stood at N600m per month in 1999, his running mate, Kashim Shettima, had said the state’s IGR stood at N700 million in 1999. Speaking at the annual general conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in August, Shettima said Tinubu raised Lagos IGR from N700 million when he took office as governor in 1999, adding that the revenue had gone up to N51 billion monthly. Ben Akabueze, Tinubu’s commissioner for budget and national planning in 2007, had also at a time said Lagos IGR was only a meagre N500 million per month in 1999. Chimaroke Nnamani, former governor of Enugu state and Tinubu supporter, also claimed in August 2022 that, “When Bola Ahmed Tinubu was governor, Lagos State’s IGR rose from 600 million naira per month to over 8 billion naira per month.” Tinubu, his own commissioner, and his running mate have quoted different figures at different times. What does the data show? Aside from the discrepancy observed in the amount of IGR claimed by Tinubu and his allies, the data shows that the average monthly earnings of Lagos in 1999 was over N1 billion, and not N500 million, N600 million or N700 million as claimed by Tinubu and his team. Data from Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) statistical bulletin, as quoted by the journal published in the Research Academy of Social Sciences showed that Lagos generated N14.6 billion in 1999. This amounts to an average of N1.22 billion monthly — double what Tinubu claims. First reported by TheCable, Lagos IGR when Tinubu left office in 2007 had significantly increased to N83.02 billion or a monthly average of N6.9 billion. While this is indeed a considerable increase in the IGR relative to other states, the data shows that Tinubu’s claim about what Lagos was generating at the time he became governor of the state is false, and contradicts his own commissioner and other allies. Also, recent IGR data by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the 2021 half-year report shows that Lagos generated N267 billion in the first six months of 2021, with a monthly average of N44.5 billion This shows that the monthly average IGR generated in Lagos is N44.5 billion — not N51 billion as claimed by Tinubu’s running mate. https://cddfactcheck.org/?p=17174&=1

sapele914:Not southwest, Lagos, and it would have been a good thing if union vote homogeneously in Nigeria. But they don't. |
Lol. Even CAN Lagos would likely endorse Tinubu. It's expected. it shows that he has a strong hold over the state. |
senatordave1:Lol. All those thumbprinting in Alausa won't happen this time, thanks to BVAS. You also forget that a lot of people didn't vote in 2015 and 2019 because we had a theif and a killer. Obi will motivate more Lagosians to comeout and vote, while APC voters will be reluctant. |
olatuns2017:You just made my point. Peter Obi have said it severally that his brother paid him off. He had not been in control of the company for years |
They said Peter Obi is inconsequential, but they are threatening all his associates, and anyone who might support him We will still win. |
