DMerciful: Did kano ban alcohol for only non indigenes? You're making a childish comparison.
Any law Lagos govt makes that affects Delta indigenes equally affects Oyo indigenes. Besides, any law enacted that contravenes the constitution stands null and void If they make the law, you are free to go contrary.. Lagos go teach you sense by force. |

Nvestor02: Even in Europe and America. The government regularize how Arab, Russians and Chinese can own property there.
Igbo claimed they are the ones that are developing us and we said that don't develop us again. all of a sudden they are crying.
They should go back to their war torn region that is full of pain and agony; we are tired of their criminal lifestyle here. I even read somewhere.that Canada has stopped selling lands to the Chinese. Kudos to Obasa for this. |

Fact..Reno has been objective nowadays. ..Why only Lagos? Kano did the same by banning alcohol to protect their indigenous beliefs...Nobody kicked against it. If you are not pleased with Lagos, you are free to relocate and nobody will miss you. Lagos House of Assembly has the right to protect the indigenes of Lagos. |

Dsalvo: Indeed . The biggest clowns in Nigeria. As for Chinedu Gbadebo, the attention-seeking loser, time to leave Lagos matter to focus on trying to depose Soludo in Anambra where he is really from and his allegiance lies 100%.
"I don't think Yoruba" indeed. Lagos dodged a massive bullet with this clown. How do you expect him to think Yoruba when he is not of Yoruba origin? Going through his history and antecedents, im not surprised with his utterances. |
Politics › Re: Clarity On The Rights Of Non-Yoruba In Lagos by Jogs1900: 4:21pm On Jun 08, 2023 |
What I know is that the lawmakers have the duty to protect their ancestral land which is Lagos. For instance if you've lived in the north west, female southerners cover their hair.Another thing is that in the north west, you dare not consume alcohol openly irrespective of your tribe or origin.Lastly, in the northwest during Ramadan, nobody dares eat outside and nobody has ever challenged these in the court. People abide by these unwritten laws because that is what the indigenes want.
For peace to reign in Lagos, the south easterners should respect the Yorubas in Lagos. They are your host. |

GRV, please don't be preemptive. This is federalism. I believe the states have the power to make laws that will protect the indigenes and the residents. Let's see the bill first. |

kcnwaigbo: Now that the Niger-Delta states are about to pass laws to control their own oil resources, how exactly will very poor states like Osun and Ekiti pay their workers and also carryout infrastructural developments in their states?
Last time to the price of oil Aregbesola did not pay for almost year. What will now happen if the oyel money stops flowing altogether? Care about south east states.Lagos, a Yorubaland will bail them out...Whatever happens in Osun and Ekiti states in none of your Business. Thank you. |

That was the era they were using water tankers to sell water. |

It's an overhead water storage tank. You will mostly see it in State water corporation offices when water corporations functioned up till the 90s before the introduction of drilling boreholes.
The water board mostly pumps water from the river to the overhead storage tanks and from there, the water board pumps to any community they wish to service at that period. I could remember during that period, we were given water on Thursdays. |

What made people turn their backs on him is the hatred he has for his own people, same people that he wants to rule!!!! That’s why we need true indigenes to be protected in Lagos. Creamypie: asaba is Igala, kogi, just forget your expansionist agenda The funny thing is that there are Yorubas in that same Delta state (itshekiri and Olukunmi) and Yorubas are not claiming Delta state as one of their states. Itshekiri land is even more strategic to the Delta than Asaba. |

Yomit71: Chevron cannot locate it's headquarters in South East because of vandalism, violence and intolerance of the citizens. So they prefer a peaceful and accommodating host which we all know Yoruba is first in Nigeria They are shouting oil companies ..Exploration of crude oil is only a branch of their operations. According to Chevron's website, Chevron is into refining, transportation, supply and trading, lubricants, chemicals, and additives. Now, is only exploration enough reason to move their headquarters to Lagos? NO |
