It's not possible...Lagos state only did the best by carrying the financial Burden of the local governments then... Moreover, I think Lagos state wanted to test the law then by using the court to correct the injustice in the 1999 constitution and that is exactly what Wike is doing now with the issue of VAT.

Under true federalism, it's the state government that has the power to create local governments area not federal government..Look at it how will Lagos and Jigawa be having the same number of local governments?If it was the state that finances local government,I'm sure jigawa state will day there is no basis for 20 local government councils...It was challenged in court then.Our federal government is too powerful...Look at the issue of VAT too.

What Lagos state government simply did then was to increase tax and block all leakages ...Then, Lagos was on aggressive tax generation.The state assembly enacted local government joint account then for example tenement rate that was meant to be collected by the local government was changed to Land use charge, LASSAA too... Whatever was generated was shared to the local governments then.. Though people in Lagos hear wen that time... Several tax generating agencies were established then.

Irrespective of political divides,Yorubas believe they are one...No state is inferior to the other...What matters to south west governors has always been the development of the south west..

I think what you don't understand is that the south west states development is beyond the state capital hence why u think south west is not developed...They spread it to other areas...In Nigeria standards ,south western states do have other cities the government do develop simultaneously...For example in Ogun state, asides the state capital, there are other cities like Sagamu, sango OTA, ijebu ode, ago iwoye, ijebu Igbo,ilaro whereas in Enugu, it's only Enugu town that development is centred on even Nsukka is being neglected by the state government.

No doubt about Lagos belonging to Yorubas...The Egbas, Ijebus and the Aworis are the owners of Lagos state and they are predominantly in Ogun state... Thats why there is no much difference between Lagos and Ogun state in terms of Culture and traditions.

Though I live in the state capital, they have the population to drive business...I see guys selling phone and it's accessories doing fine, okrika clothes,medicine, all these sex enhancers,cosmetics and if you are into foodstuffs, you make good money... Northerners like to eat good food.These are general things one can sell..If you want to go into bar, just go to Barnawa or inside any barrack, you will make money...Even Muslims will patronize you.Kaduna has other cities too like Zaria,Kafanchan

Honestly I'm enjoying my self in the north more than I did in the south concerning finances....The house rent in Places like Enugu, Owerri, Abakaliki is the same as that of Lagos.
I think it will be difficult to check.Food is even cheaper in Lagos than in the south east despite most food being consumed in Lagos are being brought from other states.

I've lived and worked in all the states in the south east before being transferred to the north.... If you want to buy beverages, electronics , clothes or shoes in the East and you complain of the high price they give you,They will tell you it's being transported from Lagos hence the reason for the high price....Even food in the East, all the food sellers sell per plate..Nothing like mama put...If you live in Lagos, you will always be irritated by the high cost of commodities in their markets unlike in the north.Till date, a bag of sachet water is #140 in my area in Kaduna central...There is still #50 bike and they buy the same expensive fuel.Lots of middleman in the East has turned everything to business.

And many places in South East, it's sold @#300 - #400

I think this should be addressed, maybe those distributors or marketers have been not been sincere and setting high Profit.

It's because inflation rate in the south south is the highest followed by that of South East..
