The same fate awaits him and he might have run away to Yenegoa or better still go work in jos Zoo What can an insignificant ant such as yourself do? You dare to open your leprous mouth? hillsate: Its most amazing that people who are not in the know of happenings on jos utter thoughtless words. LOVEKING, this is not s.ex. Which i think happens to be your expertise. Pls concentrate on that. I am presently posting this from jos. The hausa/fulani agenda is to make jos ungovernable so that a state of emergency is declared which means suspension of the governor and putting a sole administrator there. The plan is to ensure that a hausa/fulani sole administator is put in place. why are thrsame hausa/fulani not calling for a state of emergency in Borno and Bauchi states? You go about initiating, propagating, aiding, supporting and partaking in the killing of innocent humans and yet calling for a state of emergency. Fellow Nigerians, very soon everyone who has had a hand in the crises that is rocking our dear nation will be named and exposed. Do not mind them, they are just spouting the usual rubbish. Those that know what is what understand what you are saying. |

This is the best news I have heard for a while. The final nail in Buhari's coffin. His primary support is from Muslim fundamentalists in the north, this will erode that support. Bakare has no real electoral value in the south, why? Which Igbo man or Niger Deltan is going to think twice about ANOTHER Yoruba MAN, getting to ASO ROCK when they have not? Will Bakare defeat ACN in the SW? I dey laugh.

Kobojunkie: At this point, I would suggest individuals/groups take it on themselves to adopt-a-school or help in their way.
It is truly a shame that People do not seem genuinely interested in raising noise about this festering problem. I really wish people would speak up and out more on this issue as it is getting worse by the year, and there seems no end in sight. And this is a problem has affected not just millions who are now parents, and millions of their kids, and the future of the nation as a whole. Why should we care? It's none of our business. We in Nigeria have enough problems without actively seeking more. You Internet Nigerians can come together and do something. It will make you feel more "Nigerian" and may actually help those future agbero / OPC members. Bye the way in my state (In the Niger Delta of course ) we have ramped up our school system and therefore do not need your charity. |

How does the idiotic government respond- he further appoints 4 special adviser - more salary earning stations doing nothing to justify the cost Well since you don't need facts, you have said everything that needs to be said. If what we are screaming is for the government to be prudent on how the treasury resources are expended, then why should a responsible government not listen? Ahhhhh. I see, you think you are a Nigerian? Under your screen name it says UK. Well you must forgive me, I have never considered, you internet Nigerians as Nigerians. Politics › Re: Calling A Reckless Gej Government To Order by johndoe200: 12:54pm On Jan 30, 2011 |
blacksta: At a time when responsible governments around the world are cutting down on spending, Nigeria’s government continues to bask in its country’s status as an “oil-rich” nation in a world addicted to oil, piling up debt and deficit without regard for the future. In the 2011 budget, the State House is proposing to spend N21 billion, including more than N600 million ($4 million) on the purchase of computers, scanners and photocopying machines alone, and another N500 million on the purchase of “canteen / kitchen equipment.” These are just two examples.
abi this one is still Yara adua adminstration - My Man GEJ is toeing the line of bankruptcy Sorry, I have to call you on this. Are you mesmerized by the figures or have you got something intelligent to say? Have you asked for and received a breakdown of the figures and found them exaggerated? Or is it that in your very very limited experience you can not imagine such sums? |

The fact that no one will listen to "us" in Nigeria shows the kinds of defective sham we have that we call democracy, contrary to what the initial author of this piece intends, it puts the government in a grim light.
One will think that a democratic government should be for the people, thankfully we have Nairaland, some of us can practice and enjoy the dividends of e-democracy. The logic of this escapes me, why SHOULD they listen to you? What has that got to do with democracy? |

In any case what is insecurity? Is it the fear of the secret police who will come for you in the night like some nightmare from Nazi Germany? Or the last dying gasps of the northern parasites that have lived of our oil for decades and believe that they must suck us dry? As for the PDP primaries, I watched them I did not see any money change hands did you? Fresh air is GEJ, the man of the moment. We do not want any jihadist dinosaurs or apprentice gestapo wannabe's. Sky Blue: If the issue was ignored people would have talked, now the issue is being tackled people are still complaining. If the man was thrown in jail on the whim people would have shouted "due process", now the minister is being asked to resign to face charges of corruption brought up by a government agency and people are still shouting. Who is that poster who said they couldn't wait for Buhari to come and fight all past corrupt leaders? Was it not Buhari who said he was not interested in focusing on past leaders? You have to understand that most of the people who make such statements are just upset that the country is moving forward and desperately need us to move backwards for their own selfish resons. |

Kobojunkie: Aren't you ashamed of the above ? @Kbrown. When we had similar happening during the Obasanjo, and even the Yar adua regimes, did you also conclude that it was all the work of their enemies? Please use your head for your future's sake. When a problem is left unchecked, it is bound to escalate and what you see today is probably a result of that. Stop playing the blame game and start asking the right questions --- why has security not improved overall since this administration took office? Why does it seem that nothing is changing at all? People that is the freedom you get in a democracy and not until you start exercising it will you save your own selves.
@Kbrown, at least you do not seem to be living in denial of the facts of the security situation at this point . . . When you say security has not improved , you mean why has the government not stopped neighbors from killing each other? Or why and how can people still plant bombs? The truth is that unless, you want us to live in armed camps these things can not be stopped in a democratic society. Even in America they are only able to gain a measure of control n the militants cos they are not WHITE and can be easily noticed. The government is doing all it can, short of becoming undemocratic to protect the the people. |

jason123: Why is it not tenable? Assuming that the SS and SE do not vote for the new party, and SW do not care about religion as the rest of the country do (they vote for anyone who is yoruba ).Then, if a Muslim/ Muslim ticket is presented, it would even be better because they would win more votes in the north coupled with the SW and Edo(ND). It would be one of their best combination.
The vp position . . . . maybe, Tinubu (although, if picked, he would lose the SW. Fact. The reason is that he would be viewed as a greedy and power hungry man (remember, he is not liked so well in the SW)), Adam oshimole* (maybe), . . .Those are the only people I can see for now.
