GenBuhari: so your argument is ; because it would be difficult, he should not bother trying.
Buhari is only aspirant to have headed an anti -corruptiion government.
He is the best candidate to lead Nigeria because of his track record My dear young man, let's be honest with ourselves. How can an illegal government (a coup produces illegal governments, just in case you were in doubt) be an anti corruption government? Is the act of staging a coup not a form of corruption? I asked you on another thread to define corruption, you refused. You can not support Buhari-bin-laden, because he is corrupt. To most of us it makes no difference if the corruption is financial or otherwise. |

adoniss: Now I know why this country Nigeria has not made meaningful progress over the years. I think there's alot of defect in the way we think and how we draw conclusions.
1. Tunde Bakare is not from kwara state both parents of his are from Abeokuta in Ogun State. He was born a muslim now a xtian pastor
2. The fact that he was advocating for good governance and change doesnt stop him from going into politics. It is democracy (people here dont seem to understand what that means). Obama was a community worker; an advocate for the masses. Tunde Bakare doesnt need to have a public office experience to know and do the right things as the head of government. The only thing you learn from public office experience in Nigeria is how to perpetuate corruption, award bogus contracts and launder funds.
3. Buhari/T Baks will be contesting against GEJ/Sambo hypothetically!, What are the odds against them in this contest? What pedegree do GEJ/Sambo have over them. You people should comment with intellects, am tired of listening to Nigerians analysis, we get unnecessarily emotional. Sorry, but are we NOT NIGERIANS? Is the election not FOR Nigerians? Maybe you should leave us alone and concentrate on the non Nigerians you love so much, no? |

Why are you resorting to blatant untruths about Buhari?
Have or your family benefitted from coruption? What do you understand by the word corruption? Please be specific. |

hubreality: I expect Buhari to rather support a younger person(s) with clean records like Dr. Goodluck Jonathan if he's truly selfless and committed to moving Nigeria forward. There're times and seasons - Anyone above 65yrs of age should be selfless enough to give way and room for young aspiring leaders with clear vision to move any country forward including Nigeria. Why? I support GEJ, but I don't see an Islamic fundamentalist such as Buhari-Bin-Laden stepping aside for a christian. If he does how will the jihad be actualized? |

Jakumo: Ayatollah Buhari is sadistic, enraged LOSER FOR LIFE, who beats his ugly wife and kicks his dog in defeat, and who will NEVER be a president till he DIES in abject poverty.
Ayatollah Buhari hates all women, and would have them stoned to death on the strength of heresay fabricated by illiterate, jobless "witnesses." To get his rocks off, he buggers stray goats under the cover of darkness.
Buhari-Bin-Laden STOLE well in excess of 2.8 BILLION NAIRA from the Petroleum Trust Fund, whose trust he VIOLATED when he was made head embezzler there, years after being booted out of power, where he also proved a born kleptomaniac.
Osama Buhari dreams of heading an Islamic DICTATORSHIP called Nigerianistan, where non Muslims will ONLY remain safe as long as they understand their place as lowly, expendable livestock under his "Gwumment".
As a self-imposed tyrant over Nigeria in the 1980's Ayatollah Osama Buhari MURDERED and JAILED the innocent by the score, with retro-active decrees and secret police, and now he wacks his filthy maggot off every night in anticipation of getting to repeat that reign of terror. True words!!! |

Truly the major test of all aspirants for president is this:
How do they pronounce the word "Government"
a. Go'ment b. Gwumment c. Government
Where do your supposed candidates belong?
By the way, a and b. FAIL. We are tired of them
GEJ is the current president and will be for the next 8 years. |

and you mumu GEJ comes out yesterday to say his children are at home. obviously correct cause the school has now closed
Please tell GEJ to please think before he opens his dirty mouth next time I always wonder why insignificant rats believe that they look tough by insulting the president? Does it really matter who he picks? Buhari won't win, he will try as he does and lose as he does. The myth that ACN has a lock on the SW is about to be exposed. They may have the sympathy of the people, but not the blind loyalty that the people on NL so desperately wish they have.
Anyway hope is always a good thing, but sometimes a dose of reality is also needed. |

@kobojunket
This is the position on the Presidents children:
The school in question is owned by the American Government and is an extension of the American Embassy in Nigeria (and as such is seen as American territory). Therefore, pronouncements made by the Nigerian Government and people do not affect it or its academic calendar.
It is with a deep sense of regret that whatever Nigerian big-man's children that attend the school do so during the voter registration exercise as they are under American jurisdiction and cannot afford to miss classes which will not be rescheduled as is the case with their counterparts in public and Nigerian-owned private schools.
Let me assure you that the Federal Government of Nigeria can be trusted to respect the Nigerian constitution as well as International law as at when due.
As an American, don't you think you should support YOUR COUNTRIES RIGHT TO YOUR DIPLOMATIC TERRITORY? |

Kobojunkie: People care if the schools are open. When a call comes from the high authorities that people INCONVENIENCE themselves in this way, they like to know that they are not being played for fools. Many of these parents have no babysitters to look after there kids and many have had to spend more as a result of the closure believing it is for the greater good. When they find out that even those calling for this break in their schedule do not respect their own ordinances, it is signs that these leaders do not respect them. I know you like to argue about things you know very little about (we still have petrol shortages and ques every week right?) and I am sure many people with sympathize with what you posted because it appears to be reasonable on the surface, but you still haven't answered my question. Since when has it been the norm for ALL schools and students to have the same experience? The good private schools are all open. |

Kobojunkie: ^^^ And that means all schools in Nigeria were open? Since when did Catholic schools and schools in Ogun make up all the schools in Nigeria, or are we missing something here? Why exactly did you feel this post of yours was relevant to this ? All the "good" schools are open. Yes you are missing something. Anyone who is a NIGERIAN (as I have told you before, a Nigerian is someone that LIVES IN NIGERIA) knows that schools have been open. When a child experiences Nigeria like you through the internet starts to speak on events on the ground they are always exposed as being ignorant of the REALITY. Who cares if all the schools are open? Since when has it been the norm for ALL schools and students to have the same experience? Look I have told you before that you are a spectator, just cheer or boo as you see fit, but please don't try to pretend that you are involved. Some how it has become fashionable on this forum to fantasize. PDP is by far the largest and strongest of the political parties, to believe that overnight, they are going to simply disappear may be a good fantasy for the other smaller failed parties but anyone with an iota of common sense knows that this is just wishful thinking.
No doubt on NL, PDP has become the smallest party in the world, but I assure you the same dreamers will be here in 2015 discussing how to remove PDP. |

Jarus: I have also read that Mahmud's article up there this morning, and it corroborates what I have been saying that these delegates are on thier own. Not only does GEJ stand not winning general elections in these northern states he won at primaries, but their state governors that directed their delegates to vote for him, risk not getting re-elected. Not even VP Sambo can move near Kaduna at the moment. Those northern populace are battle ready for PDP, and their delegates. One doesn't need a crystal ball to tell that in addition to Zamfara, Sokoto, Niger, and Kano, GEJ doesn't stand chance in other core northern states(both SE &SW) in general elections. Let us all cheer, Buhari has won the election on NL , Ribadu came second!!!!. The reality is that PDP is the party to beat in the REAL WORLD. On the ground we are there. We will take on the regional parties and beat them in their regions. hercules07: @Johndoe
Some people have some work to do you know, GEJ can not sweep the whole of the South in a free and fair elections, infact, if ACN and CPC work together with Buhari as the Presidential candidate, GEJ will not win in a free and fair election, he might sweep the SS and SE, but, he will will lose in all the other regions. Stop putting forth your opinions as if they are facts. According to your fantasy, PDP get zero votes when ACN wins an election in the SW and SE. We will work on the regions we feel we need to shore up, but as usual we will come out on top. |
