This tomorrow never come? Well you know what they say - Tomorrow Never Comes. |
@GenBuhari The only deluded person is you. Buhari-bin-laden the jihadist criminal can not be and should not even be considered for a democratic office. He is a criminal coup plotter. |
Abagworo:As I said in my post "A NEW CITY" not another PHC. This is being funded by the FG. It is located in another LG, a site in or near Ogoni Land was chosen. Most definitely Amaechi is involved in ethnic politics. I am surprised that you can say something like that. |

Port Harcourt, is a mixed city, the original part of the city was not identified with any tribe. As the city grew it expanded to encompass Ikwere villages which were then incorporated into it. As the price of property rose more "cheap" Ikwere land was acquired to build houses. So there are non indigenous Nigerians who actually live in Ikwere villages and think they live in Port Harcourt. As to Ibo or not, these are ideas which others like to propagate, and argue about especially on NL. |

These things are not what RIVERS STATE needs. What WE want is for there to be more than ONE city in the state. If Amaechi really had the interest of the state at heart he would have tried to build A new town/city in each senatorial district. he could then place all these new buildings in them. All he is doing is just helping his semi ibo brothers. Thank God the FG has understood the issue and is building a new city outside PH.
And this is my hometown. Home sweet home. The place where I was raised. All hail Port Harcourt aka Iguocha. The Garden City at its finest.
PH is your "hometown"? I doubt that seriously. |
The Saraki's are making sure that Kwara stays in their pocket. You have to love the Nigerian Politician. |
ACN accuses Kwara Govt of compromising voters’ registration From FRANCIS AWOWOLE-BROWNE, Abuja Tuesday, January 25, 2011 The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has accused the Kwara State Government of compromising the ongoing voters’ registration exercise in the state by giving N50,000 in cash to each of the 1,872 polling centres in the state. In a statement issued in Ilorin, Kwara State, on Monday, by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to urgently investigate the reason behind the “donation,” which was announced on the radio but the purpose of which was not stated. It said the need for INEC to investigate the inexplicable monetisation of the registration exercise in Kwara State became even more imperative because the commission had warned against any such unsolicited financial assistance for its officials nationwide, in view of its implications. “We are also worried about this Greek Gift from the Kwara State Government against the backdrop of reports that some DDC machines are being used to register voters in certain unauthorised locations in the state,” ACN said, adding: “We know for sure that Nigerians are resolved to fully participate in the voters’ registration exercise without any financial inducement.” The party said the donation by the government had raised many posers: “What is the money supposed to be used for? Who are the beneficiaries? Why would the state government give away over 100 million naira for an exercise that has been fully funded by the Federal Government through INEC? To what extent has this unsolicited cash donation compromised the exercise and are there other measures being taken by the state government to influence the exercise in favour of the ruling party in the state?” “The immediate provision of answers to these posers, which are at the core of the investigation we are seeking, will help unravel the real motive of the state government in playing ‘Santa Claus’ in January. It will also allay the fears of many people in the state, who have expressed grave concern over the donation,” ACN said. It warned that since voters’ registration was the bedrock of successful elections, the ongoing exercise must not only be free, fair and non-partisan, it must be seen to be so by all Nigerians, who were yearning for free, fair and credible polls in April. Meanwhile, Kwara State Government has denied, in a statement, that the N50,000.00 cash donation to each registration point in the on-going voters’ registration exercise was an inducement but to cushion the hardships likely to be faced by the registrants. “The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Alhaji Babatunde Mohammed, who was reported to have announced the State government’s donation, did so out of the magnanimity of the State Governor, Dr. Bukola Saraki, and his care for natives of the state. “The donation should, therefore, not be interpreted to mean bribe to the registrants or INEC officials on duty but a way of supporting and assisting the ongoing registration process. “Well-meaning individuals and philanthropic organisations nationwide have risen to the challenge of coming to the rescue of INEC to ensure a successful registration exercise, bearing in mind that the onus rests on every Nigerian to ensure the success of the exercise once and for all. “The Kwara State Government would not in anyway interfere with the registration process just as politicians should refrain from politicising the exercise, rather we should all join hands to enhance credible voters’ registration and not translate the voters’ registration to political propaganda.” The motive behind the gesture of the state government was to lessen the burden of its citizens, who in most cases often spend the whole day at the registration unit in an attempt to secure voter’s card arising from various challenges being encountered at the centre. As responsive and responsible Nigerians, every eligible voter is entitled to a voter’s card to be able to exercise his/her civic right and this can only be done by obtaining a voters’ card. Therefore, nothing legal would be too much to ensure its success. No reasonable person would read any negative meaning to the State government’s gesture as it was done purely with an open mind to enhance the registration process and lessen the burden of the people of the State. The general public is hereby advised to disregard the misinformation being peddled around about the state government’s donation by those whose trade in stock is nothing but condemnation, as it was merely to enhance the registration process and lessen the burden of the registrants throughout the duration of the registration exercise irrespective of party affiliation. http://sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/jan/25/national-25-01-2011-04.htm |
Ibime:Did he ever care about them? It was just a vehicle to get him noticed. honeric01:Thanks, it's nice to know how well hypocritical Christians can curse. A born again exchanger, now I have seen everything. I have LR my rate is =N=158, want it? |
GenBuhari:So what, are they not the worst crooks? I can't understand why you would support a criminal, corrupt jihadist like Buhari-bin-Laden. |
After stealing all that cash from his foolish congregation, where else will he get that kind of money? Only from the government coffers, Fake pastors everywhere. |
I hope they are able to sort this out so that when GEJ wins the election he can face the task of rebuilding and restructuring the country with all hands on deck. |
^ You wan join? |
^Kobojunket at her rationally challenged best. The price of onions are about the same in Lagos, so what is the big deal? There seems to be a general shortage of supply. |
hbrednic:Please tell them, ACN and Buhari-bin-Laden are just trying to deceive people. The electorate are to enlightened now for these sort of tricks. Say NO to corrupt criminal, jihadists like Buhari-bin-Laden. Ribadu is a joke, without any one telling you, don't you know that Tinubu and Ribadu should not be in the same party? |
I just registered, it took about 6 minutes. Seems INEC has got it's act in order. |
GenBuhari:You still don't seem to get it. There is no excuse for corruption. Buhari-bin-laden is corrupt, we don't want any more corrupt people. What is to stop him from engaging in more corrupt activities because he thinks it's justified? Do you realize that he is the only aspirant that has a PROVABLE RECORD OF CORRUPTION? You should be ashamed of yourself for supporting a corrupt, criminal, religious bigot. |
