In the absence of Honda ATF Z1 which is recommended by Honda, you could use Dexron III. I had used Texaco's Texamatic which is Dexron III. It worked very well for my 1999 Honda Odyssey. However, it may not shift as smoothly as Z1 in your 2004 Accord.

As a candid advice, always read your Owners Manual. It contains all the information regarding your car. Pouring engine oil inside an automatic gearbox is definitely a sure way to kill it because the engine is not meant for that that purpose.

Having made the error, you will need to change the fluid several times to clean out the engine oil you have already poured in. Drain what is there now, fill it and drive for a while and always ensure you drain the fluid when it is hot as that ensures that most of it drains out. Moreover, not all the fluid comes out when you do a simple drain and fill once. You have to do several times to get all the old fluid out. That is normal with ATF change. Added to that is the abnormality of engine oil inside the gearbox which must be eliminated before it causes further damage. 3 to 4 circles of drain, fill and drive should clean it out. More importantly, you will have to change the filter in the gearbox after the last drain. This will ensure that you have a clean filter that will allow the fluid to circulate freely as a clogged up filter will not allow free circulation.

I wish to give you a few words of advice which I will urge you to think about carefully before you take the step you are proposing to take.

Change, like you are trying to do, requires inner strength and will power, the such that not everyone can summon or generate. Usually when we strive to change from our old ways, our environment must protest and strive to drag us back to our old ways. As a minor example, think of crabs that are inside a basket. If you watch them closely, you will notice that none of them is able to get out of the basket on its own because as soon as it starts making the effort, the other crabs will grab it and seek to drag it down! That is what human beings do to themselves. Your room mate has never been happy with your change and has been trying several antics to get you to backslide to your old way, for that is the only way she will be comfortable with you. You were homogeneous with her when you first came together but now, you are no longer like her hence there will no longer be any harmony! That is the way it is in life. People only flow with similar kinds as the saying goes: SHOW ME YOUR FRIEND AND I WILL TELL YOU WHO YOU ARE!

If you succumb to the pressure being mounted on you through the insults and name-calling from your room mate, she would have succeeded in dragging you back once again.

My candid advice at this time is: Since there is no more harmony in the relationship with your room mate, split! That is, move out and sever the relationship. I am sure you will find another person with similar traits like you with whom you can have a harmonious room mate relationship with. You have finished experiencing life with your room mate and it is time to move on to experience someone else.

I do sympathize with your situation as it is one of the most painful moments one can live through: to be betrayed by two people you perhaps love most dearly! I am sure you went through a lot of pains and the fact that you posted this topic means that you are still hurting even though the incident happens long ago.

However, I must draw your attention to a few truths about life.

1. When you hate, the person that suffers most is yourself. You do a lot of harm to yourself when you hate.

2. When you do not or cannot trust, then betrayal will always trail you. The fact that you had a 'nasty' father as you claim, does not mean all men are like that. Putting all men on the same level as your father is wrong!

3. Every child, no matter the circumstances surrounding its birth, is a blessing from the Lord. It is an opportunity for all who are related to the child or who will have anything to do with the child during its life time, to learn certain lessons which the opportunity of relating with that child alone can bring. For you, it is possible that you are meant to imbibe the spirit of forgiveness and understanding from the whole experience. Until you do this, you will not be able to draw the necessary benefit from the experience.

4. It takes two to tangle, so blame both parties to the incident. However you should search within yourself if the opportunity for the betrayal was not inadvertently proffered by you. In addition, parents attract children through their qualities: good or bad and since you painted a very gory picture of your father's escapades, it is not far-fetched to imagine that your sister may have been attracted by your father through the homogeneity. In which case you should have been more careful.

5. It is also not fair that you have abandoned your mother because of the child she is helping to raise.

One thing I must draw your attention to is the fact that bottling this up is not the way to deal with it. Wallowing in self pity which is what you are doing right now, is not the way to handle the issue. Due diligence is necessary for any form of transaction and business relationship. Buyers should also know that any deal that is too good to be true is exactly that: TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!

I will narrate my experience here which I have refrained from doing until now.

I got in touch with PTC Consults and made enquiry for a car. We exchanged a lot of emails and phone calls. However, warning signals started flashing when he gave me a price which I was well aware was below the advertised cost for the particular car we were discussing. I drew his attention to this and he tried unsuccessfully to convince me that it would be possible for him to bring the particular car in at the cost he had given me. I was not convinced because he would have to spend over a million of his own money to get the car to my house. There are no such genuine businessmen as everyone wants to make profit without which they would not even be in the business.

What did I do? I gave him another option: If he could bring the car in at his own expense, without any deposit from me, he gets extra 300K over the agreed price! Of course he rejected the offer and tried several antics to get me to believe in him and transfer 50% of his price to him. That did not happen and the communications terminated at that.

So beware when someone gives you a price which is absolutely unrealistic! He has an ulterior motive and it does not take a genius to know what that motive would be.

I think dealers should really come together to sanitize the situation and have a failsafe method of certifying honest dealers among themselves.

The idea is not being sold to me but something I want to do. I said I currently live an hydraform built house. Actually hydraform company has a different material for construction of earthquake resistant houses and that is not what I am referring to. In terms of cost, it is actually cheaper to built with hydraform than conventional blocks. In addition, in our own climate which is very hot, hydraform becomes the better material to use. If you have ever been inside a mud house in a hot afternoon, you will understand what I am saying. In the same way, if you sleep in cement block house after a very hot day, and there is no light for you to run your fan or airconditioner, you will value hydraform if you have the opportunity to sleep in one under the same circumstances.

I still need information on the possible sources.

We obviously have two different definitions for human beings. I said human beings who still have their humanity in them, will always believe in God. However, on earth today not all those who have the human form still qualify to be call human because the humanity in them is dead and buried. Such may not believe in God and it is not surprising.

If you consider everyone human who appear in human form, then I will agree with you that there may be those who do not believe in God. However, for me the human form alone does not suffice to make everyone human, therefore there are people which to me are not human. If such do not believe in God, it does not matter because inwardly they are dead!

Yeah, I have also heard the JB replaces cars damaged by their drivers. However, I will advise that you do not go alone. Make a formal complaint to them through a lawyer. Also endeavour to attach the police report to your complaint to the company. You may be fortunate and get a new ride.

I am planning to commence the construction of a duplex in Rivers State.

I have a little challenge with sourcing the materials I want to use which is HYDRAFORM INTERLOCKING DRY STACKING BLOCKS. I currently live in a house built with Hydraform and after this experience it will be extremely difficult to live in a regular cement block house because of the heat emitting characteristic of cement block which hydraform does not have, being made from laterite (red mud) soil.

Does anyone know where I can source the hydraform in Rivers State.

I can tell you one thing immediately:  there is no such human being that is an atheist or one who does not believe in God.  What we have are people who do not have the inclination to accept the amazingly multifarious concepts of God that is taught in religions.  Each religion paints a different picture of God and incredibly each wants its own concept to be accepted by others and when this does not happen, they brand those who refuse to accept their theories.

Again, what is most frustrating about all these is that each religion tries to monopolise the Almighty, that they alone have access to Him and that only the ways they have prescribed can lead to Him and no other way.  Thus they want to force their opinions upon others.  Strong willed people who still have within them their humanity cannot accept the various versions held out today of the concept of the Almighty.

Unfortunately, the commercialism that religion has become today makes it imperative that each religion have to device means and strategies to capture a chunk of the 'market'.  They do this by besmirching those who do not share their views or who refuse to be drawn into the web of falsehood that is so prevalent today.

In addition, there is so much about life, existence and the Almighty that no religion has been able to explain and so the word 'faith' was coined by them to get people to believe the unbelievables.  They have not been able to explain so many things that are in existence today, for example why people are born into particular circumstances where from the very beginning they are exposed to the hard side of life while others are born with golden or silver spoons.  Why natural disasters happen and why there is so much wickedness in the world today.  Given the number of religious people in Nigeria, the country ought to be the best country in the world to live in.  But the reality today should tell you that what is done in the religions cannot be right because it has not brought us progress.  Clear and deep thinking people usually reject religion and that is what is mistakenly taken to be atheism.

No right thinking human being can reject the existence of God because the whole of creation attest to His Existence.  The very fact that there is creation gives you the proof that there is a Creator.  As a minor example, the very fact that there is a computer is proof that there are computer engineers, technologists, designers, programmers etc. However, it is not in the computer's place to decide to believe in the existence of its creator.  Whether human beings accept His Existence or not does not change the fact.  As everyone knows, creation is a masterpiece of a design in which everything we need to sustain us is provided by the All-Wise Creator.

We all know that everything requires a source of energy to function. Human beings require nourishment, our vehicles require fuel, our industries require electric power and so forth.  Even the spirit require power to live as a spirit.  Ask your boyfriend the Source of the Power that maintain and sustain Creation or does he not believe that we need power to survive.  Listen very well to his explanation of whether power is needed or not, and then the Source of that Power and you will be able to decipher whether he does not indeed believe in the existence of the Creator for He alone is the Source of Power for all creation.
