I cannot attest to any time in Nigeria political history when the Ibo collective
vote or as a nation ever benefited the Yoruba interest from 1959 to date.

After the 1959 election, Zik an Ibo because of his hatred for Yoruba, betrayed Awo
to form an alliance with Balewa for a worthless position. Soon in 1962 combined to
jail Awolowo and in 1963 divided the Western region into West/Midwest leaving
Eastern and Northern regions intact.

In 1966, Ibo truncated the regional government under which Yoruba race was
economically at an advantage over every group in Nigeria and leading in Africa for
this unitary system which brought us down to where we are today.

In 1979, despite Awo's choice Chief Philip Umuadi as running mate, the Ibo in their
hatred never voted for him and still after the inconclusive election where Obasanjo
used 12 2/3 to decide the winner, Zik's NPP became the beautiful bride to also form
another alliance with Shangri's NPN to the detriment of the Yorubas.

In 1993, after Abiola had won the presidential election across the South and Middle
Belt, but except in the Ibo states, Arthur Nzeribe another Ibo truncated the
election with his court injunction to be finally annulled by Babangida.

In 1999, the Ibo voted against the candidate of the Yoruba, Olu Falae and massively
voted for Obasanjo, who populated his government with the Ibo and Fulani.

From 2011-2015, the Ibo dominated the government with the Yoruba having just only
Dr. Adesina based on his profession and not political.

Though Hausa/Fulani had always been in power since 1966, Yoruba had always been
marginalised under every successful governments. But under Buhari another
Hausa/Fulani Muslim, Yoruba had been more fairly treated than under any government.

In the last 53 years, the Yoruba race had been marginalised and have clamoured for a
return to the regional government. Under this agonising years, five National
Conferences were organised but on every occasion only the Yoruba race have been
consistent in its demand for restructuring based on regional government while the
North and Ibo always favoured the continuation of this unitary system which mostly
favoured them.

At the last Jonathan conference, the Ibos asked for additional States and rotational
presidency with 6 vice presidents from the present zonal system created by the
Hausa/Fulani instead of a return to the regions they criminally aborted in 1966.

Under the present scenario, Ibo and Yoruba are on the same pedestrian-VP while the
Ohaneze are Atikulating for their own Obi as VP, you our leaders are deriding and
calling your own names for an Ibo VP. What a disservice and betrayal of the Yoruba
race and Yoruba leaders - Awolowo, Ajasin, Adesanya and Bola Ige all of blessed
memories.

Ironically, a few days after the endorsement the Ohaneze under its National
Secretary went to pledged support for Buhari. So, lose or win, they are always
there. And as for the Northern elders, whoever wins between the two will always
serve their interest while Edwin Clark and his PANDEF leaders will always benefit
