Am sure that most of these Ibo men may have some sympathy for Biafra, but the problem is

1.In the event Biafra splits from Nigeria, they run the risk of becoming foriegners under the law...meaning higher taxes, stricter laws, and the possibility of deportation

2.And assuming they come home...how is the Biafran government going to compensate them for their lost businesses?

3.There is even the risk of them sustaining big losses should they relocate their businesses...glut in the domestic market.

4.Their kids schooling in tertiary institutions up North would have to pay higher fees in the event of a split.(in case you don't know, foreigners studying in Nigerian unis pay higher)

Nigeria is a contraption. A very terrible contraption. But the alternatives are far worse.Once you start putting borders, people start suffering.

In South Sudan, once they split from Sudan, most South Sudanese based in Sudan found themselves treated as 'foreigners'..paying higher taxes, etc. Many of them had to go home to escape the burdens.
