Focus: A Pay Back Time II

WORD FOR TODAY
There is a reward for everything a man does in the land of the living. A pay back time for everything you have done to other people will surely come be it good or evil either in a short or long run!!!

"Now David said, "Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?" (2 Samuel 9:1 NKJV)

What goes around comes around. Jonathan loved David and showed kindness to him as expected of everyone who knows the Lord. He probably did it without expecting any pay back. But God does not forget the labour of love as well as the wickedness done by men. He rewards every man accordingly.

The Preacher says Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it again. (Eccl.11:1). Everything you have done is coming back to you in multiple fold. A pay back time is coming for those parents who invested so much on their children and those people who invested in the lives people they are not related to.

As you proceed in the journey of destiny, be mindful of the fact that what you are doing today is a seed that will determine what your future will be. Despite the fact that Jonathan was no more his deeds brought blessings to his children and household.

+ If God chooses to reward your deeds today or in future what will your lot be?

Prayer Point:
Lord! I receive the grace to sow righteous and good deeds in the days of my opportunities in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Focus: Coming to the End of Yourself

God allows some things to happen in the lives of some people just to bring them to the end of themselves. The fullness of God cannot be revealed in your life until you have come to the end of yourself!!!

Man by nature will always brag about what he can do and his achievements over the years. Every man will not but come to a point where he will be confronted with his weaknesses. Each time you find yourself at this junction look up to God for help.

Moses being a prince in Egypt wanted to exercise his authority and his mandate over the people of God but they asked him a question which brought him to the end of himself. As a result of this he humbled himself and fled to Midian where he developed the requirement to lead the people of God.

When you come to the discovery of any form of incapacitation in your life, humble yourself before God so that you can be helped. Don't be too big to acknowledge your weaknesses before God and don't be too smart to think you don't need help. There is nothing good you can actually do without God because He only gives grace to the humble.

Focus: Dealing With Your Weaknesses

There is no man without a weakness. Nevertheless, every man that became great under God having a very clean record were men who dealt with their weaknesses!!!

No matter how wonderful your appearance maybe the fact still remains that something is eating you up somewhere. Though you appear powerful, it does not change the fact that you need help in certain areas of life. This is so, simply because you are human and not self sufficient.

In every aspect of your incapacitation be it physically or spiritually acknowledge it before God. In our passage, we saw David taking more wives and concubines after he was made King. This revealed the fact that his weakness was more pronounced when it comes to issues that has to deal with women. This weakness puts a but in the story of his life with respect to the issues about the wife of Uriah.

The weakness you did not deal with on time will make you a weakling in destiny and put a but in the story of your life in the land of the living. They can cost you your fulfillment and eternal destiny. Therefore, acknowledge them before God and seek His face for help even as you submit yourself to follow His principles.

I have never in life seen any man that achieved anything good by worrying. As you proceed in destiny, the Lord is not ignorant of what you will meet, therefore, at various point in life He will be waiting for you to make grace available. Do not worry about anything but pray about everything. Make whatever troubles your heart a burden to pray abou!!!

For everything that has to do with your life, God who is your creator and devil your arc enemy is very interested. Everything you are passing through; to God it is a test, but to Satan is a temptation and to you in the situation it is a trial.

Test of life is necessary because God will never use a man he has not proved and he will never place anything serious into the hands of a man who cannot stand the test of time. The likes of Joseph, Abraham, Daniel and David were tried before they became something for God.

The devil will always try all he can do to ensure that you fall and your destiny fails under God. Hence, you must submit yourself to God and His principles. If a man is with Jesus in temptations he cannot fall. A man only falls when he is far from God or there is a gap between him and his creator.

The story of Naaman is a story of pride, self-centeredness, obedience, confession and conversion. Every man who saw Naaman will conclude that he had it all. The scripture says, Naaman “was also a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper.”

There’s always a BUT in every fortune. Like so many who spent a lifetime pursuing life’s lofty goals, Naaman was troubled…because Naaman was not well. He had been stricken with leprosy, a disease that would ultimately cost him his job, his money, and his life. It was a disease that, once discovered by his superiors, would earn him a place in a cave on the outskirts of the city, where he would not have contact with the world.

These buts are put in place as a check to every human life to bring men to God. Whatever but in your life is reserved for God's intervention.

As the days go by, there is yet a miracle the Lord will perform in your life. Things will not continue to be the way it has been. You are alive because there is yet a Glory to be revealed through your life in the land of the living.

At best you can only have the knowledge of what is happening to you now, your tomorrow is only known and determined by God. Irrespective of what you have achieved so far in life, your best is yet to come. You have no reason to give up in any situation of life. God is still interested in you that's why you are still living.

Therefore, before this time tomorrow God will perform wonders in your life. You will never remain the same again for the Lord will change your story. Be mindful of what you do today. Allow God to work in you to work out His good pleasure in your life.

What a man receives for committing sins is death. It is not enough for a man to have good prospects under God, if he must fulfill his mandate he must live above sin. Therefore, the devil will try all he could to make sure that your destiny fails and that the plan of God over you become truncated.

You are doing great damage to yourself if you continue to live in sin. You must choose to obey God and live according to His will to ensure that your life is patterned according to His original plan for you. In the case of Joseph, He was mindful of His destiny. He gave no room for sin.

The Lord rooted for a better alternative (David) when King Saul chose to disobey Him. No man can explain what Gehazi would have become due to the fact that He gave room for covetousness that brought his ministry under God to an end. A man may never know how great the plan of God is for him if he sacrifices his glorious destiny on the altar of sin.

Self-denial is an important attribute of God in the lives of men that is critical to the manifestation of God's Glory. No man can ever become something tangible under God without self-denial!!!

Self-denial is an important attribute a man must possess to preserve his mandate in the land of the living. All men who became something under God were men who denied themselves. Joseph denied himself and fulfilled his purpose. He looked beyond the present and beheld the glory of God to be manifested in His life.

There is a glory that cannot be seen in the present but concealed and prepared for the future. Don't be eaten up by wonderful things people of this life present to you. Be ready to lose everything if that's what it takes to preserve your mandate.

Things to come will always be greater than the one that exists because things that exist will surely pass away to give room to things to come. Don't establish your marital, career, ministerial and academic destiny for appearance, prestige or men's applause but for the fulfillment of your mandate. Be ready to give up whatever appearance, comfort, prestige offered to you at the expense of the fulfillment of your Glory.

Your glory cannot be taken until you sacrifice it on the altar of sin.The glory of God may never manifest in the life of a man until he is ready to give up every other things for it!!!

Why will the wife of the protocol officer of Pharaoh be interested in a common slave? Why will she stoop so low to that extent? It is not because of anything but the glory. Right from ages past the consequence of sin is far more greater than the ephemeral benefits. Joseph chose to let her have the garment than for his destiny to be truncated.

At first his brothers took off the garment of many colours and put on him the garment of slavery. Potiphar's wife took off the garment of slavery and put on him the prisoners garment needed for his placement in the palace of Pharaoh.

God will always place men at various critical junction of your life to put off various garment from you to ensure that you move from glory to glory. It is a pity that many people settle for ephemeral blessings at the expense of the plan of God for their lives. They keep wallowing in sin just to preserve false blessings. Surrender whatever garment you are putting on that keeps your life at the danger of missing your place in the purpose of God.

There are several Demas in this world of today. People who will never submit themselves to the course of the Lord and His will for their lives on the account of worldly pleasure.

Many people on the account of self desires emanating from worldliness fail to choose the right spouse in marital destiny. Some people refuse to embark on the divine assignment given to them because it appears not to be lucrative. There are many so called men of God who gave themselves to serve mammon instead of delivering the message of God to souls placed under their care.

Your service to God may not be acceptable until you keep the way clear between you and the saviour. What God wants to do with your life will not come to reality until you deny yourself, carrying your cross and following Jesus every moment of your life.

No matter how high and invincible a mountain may appear to be, the Lord has already decreed that they will surely depart. The greatest consolation every child of God has in all situations of life is that, His kindness and covenant of peace will not be removed on you!!!

Every mountain still standing in your life represents your victories and testimonies in the days to come. Be rest assured that they will depart no matter how long they have been in operation because the Lord has promised never to leave nor forsake you.

Do not celebrate your mountains but confront them using the word of God. Every problems and challenges of life will surely pass away. Don't fail in your consecration and relationship with God on the account of what you are passing through. Before everything and after all things God remains God. Hence, hold on to Him; He will surely have mercy on you.

A man dies whenever God chooses not to meet his needs. The Lord did not promise to give you just everything but he promised to meet your needs. As long as you live, the Lord is able to meet your needs.

Your need is anything you cannot do without; something that if it is taken away from you, it will stop you from living. Something that it's absence makes existence so difficult for you. When anything becomes a need, it has gone beyond your capability.

Most of what we worry about sometimes, is not our needs but want. Either as a result of what is seen in the lives of other men or what to use to prove our superiority before men or something to show that we are also an achiever. If there be any need in your life, present them to God and He will make grace available for you.

Quest for various additions in life are the major source of our worries. You don't need to worry about anything but rather pray and believe God for everything!!!

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?" (Matthew 6:25 NIV)

The Lord at this very point in time is admonishing you, that you should not worry about anything. The Lord who created you without any of your input knows what you truly need and what you don't at a particular point in time. He is not a wicked God; the only issue with Him is that He makes things beautiful at its own time.

Every blessing of God added to your life increases your responsibility which in turn increase your worries. In as much you play your part in every issue of life, there is nothing to worry about. The Lord will meet your needs as at when due.

If there is anything to worry about it is how to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. You have to worry about your beseting sins, secret faults, temptations that pull you down every now and then. You have to worry about those lifestyle of yours that places your life at the danger of missing eternity with God.

God is enough all by Himself. He exists and is sustained before us, after us, and independent of us. God does not need us. God does not rely on us. God is without beginning or end. God is forever and always, perpetual, ceaseless, and enduring. God exists outside of all relations to time. God does not change.

God didn't ask for your permission before He created you to be who you are. Therefore, in every bid to be what God wants you to be don't help Him but obey Him in His principles. A man will only fit properly in His purpose only if he submits himself to obey Him. Many people will never consider doing the will of God with respect to marital choice, career and academic pursuit and ministerial mandate because of the love for money. The case of many who used to be fervent in their relationship with God is now like that of Adam who He asked "Where are you?". This is because Master money has taken them away from their place of consecration.

Your integrity, discipline, love, values, standard and character will be validated based on money as you proceed on the pathway of destiny. Your attitude towards money is a factor that determines how you can be trusted and what God will place in your hands.

When a man is weak and claim to be strong then he is proud. The greatest opposition to every man who is proud is God himself. By all standard, every man created by God has a weakness.

Therefore, do not hesitate to acknowledge your weaknesses each time it tries to bring you down. It is in acknowledging it before God that help will be made available for you.

At the wedding in Cana of Galilee, they acknowledged their problem before Jesus when they ran out of wine and they received divine help (John 1). The sons of the prophets acknowledged the fact that their place of meeting is too small for them and grace was made for them (2King 6:1).

Help is readily available for you if you acknowledge your weaknesses before God. There is no other way to death than to prove to be strong when you actually need help.

Pray for your friends, church, employer, leaders, pastors, nation, neighbours, father, mother, colleagues and everyone you know. Pray about everything and for everything.

Don't say the issue bothering other people doesn't concern you. Make yourself available to pray and assist men in what they are passing through. Every man will not but come into the hour darkness when such will not be able to pray for himself. Sow the seed of prayer today.

Sometimes, people will never see the clear picture of the work of God in your life until the issue of your life faces the mockery of men. When men mock you they present your incapabilities for remembrance in the presence of God. Don't give room for distraction believe the word of God for your life and wait on Him to do His good pleasure in your life.

Each time you have an opportunity to see people in their situations a period of test has come to you. In this life, men will not but cry, suffer pain and if you look away and offer no help when you can do so then you have sown a seed towards your own time of incapacitation.

Don't be careless about the issues in other people's life; whatever happened to them can happen to you. And mind what you say to them and about them. We can only live successfully and be happy by the mercies of God.

Whatever disobeys God going along with you will bring you to perdition. The going may appear smooth at the inception but in a long run will cause you to lose everything. The heart of men is desperately wicked no one can know. Pray very well and seek godly counsel before you bring other people into the ship of your life whether in marital, academic, spiritual and career relationship.

Whatever or whoever will not help you to obey God nor do His will is a Jonah in your ship. This Jonah can also come in form of habit or character developed over the time which will cause an indelible damage in the course of time. You have nothing to lose offloading your Jonah. It will rather bring to calm every tempest of destruction in your destiny.
