You define your future and your impact in the land of the living by the manner you treat the people around you irrespective of who they are to you. Your performance in everything you do is engraved in the hearts of men and not even in their actions towards you.

What is the usefulness of a life that does not have any positive impact in the lives of men? You were created for service to humanity. In everything you do; hold to a very high esteem the interest of men whom you are serving. This is the pathway of excellence as seen in the life of Christ Jesus who died for our sins.

The young ruler discovered that there was yet a feat he had not achieved despite his achievements on earth. Knowing this, he sought to know what he must do from the Lord Jesus.

Also as you proceed on the pathway of destiny on earth, irrespective of what your achievement might be at any point in time, there will always be a vacuum in your heart. You will always have a feeling of something you have not achieved. Therefore, you must always seek God to know the next line of action to ensure that you get better maritally, spiritually, academically, financially, socially, professionally etc.

Live your entire life having the orientation that the best is yet to come and that you must always seek God to help you know what to do in every quest to get better in every aspect of life.

In the text, the major reason why Apostle Paul and other disciples had the experiences they had was revealed. In all things they commended themselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings;" (2 Corinthians 6:4-5); Just to win Christ and be a partaker of His Glory.

Jesus was nailed on the cross to save the entire human race.
Joseph was a slave for a purpose, Daniel was in the Lions' den for a purpose. The three Hebrews passed through fire to prove a point for the Glory of God. What will your own life turnout to be with respect to your experiences so far in life? Why is your life like this? It will be a very difficult question to answer if you don't know the perspective of your destiny.

The Lord has given every man certain degree of freedom to choose how to live. For every grace made available for you to do the will of God the Lord will judge. No matter how smart a man may think he is in committing sin of any kind for any reasons the fact still remains that the wages of sin is death.

Various efforts can be put in place to cover a sin, it is a matter of time; your sin will find you out. A time will come when you will be ready to advance into the rest the Lord had prepared for you. It will be a very terrible experience if your sins should stop you.

The urgent call of the Lord who will reveal every secret and bring every works of men to judgement is repentance from your sins. Irrespective of who you think you are, the sin in your life will surely find you out.

Money is good; it is an indispensable element of the human life on earth. We all need money to fulfill our purpose. However, we should never give too much power to money because money is a good servant but a bad master.

Never put money in place of God in your life. A man who lives just to make money lives for the wrong reason. Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless. (Eccl. 5:10).

There are several good people in this life who would have made impact in the lives of men but eventually became laughing stock because of money. Many people lost their peace, integrity,purpose, mandate, message, fulfillment, hope for eternity with God. Don't allow money to define your destiny or action but always decide on what money will do for you.

There is a need to sometimes sit and evaluate your life based on your lifestyle to know your progress in the Lord. Can you identify any change in your life since you believed?

You have not met Christ Jesus if you discover that nothing spectacular in terms of living righteously has happened in your life. All those who truly had an encounter with Christ experienced God and have a change of life. Many of them stopped stealing, fighting, keeping malice, backbiting, fornicating, lying, being wicked etc. There is a distinct change in their lifestyle after giving their lives to Christ.

The evidence of being born again is in the fact that you no longer live in sin and that all those things you used to do which are not the will of God; you do them no more.

Some set of people gave an account of what some men of God worth in terms of their assets and the money they have. However, one of them replied that his life did not worth the amount they say he is worth but his worth is Philippians 4:19.

A man who has God has everything. You need more than money or earthly possessions to live successfully on earth. Stick closely to God who make things beautiful in its time. Eternity is the only place where there is no limit. Therefore, God sets eternity in the hearts of men so that they will be ignorant of what the lord has done from the beginning.

When God is your exceeding reward your life can't be subjected to the prediction of men. They can never know reading the trend of your life; the more they look the more they become confused and the less they see. Make the eternal God who can meet your needs your worth and you will never be disappointed.

Each time the devil and his agents on earth wants to win over a man they pollute his mind. This was the strategy used for Eve. As humans, we are limited in various areas of life. If care is not taken as far as our relationship is concerned, we will fail in our responsibilities towards men or even miss the blessings God preserved for our lives through men.

Some people because of the grudges they bear in their mind as a result of what they were told missed the chances they had of fulfilling their God given dream through a covenant helper. Sometimes, the way we see God is a function of what we were told about Him by men based on their own personal experience with Him or what they feel about Him.

Don't give room for pollution! Always pay attention to what is true, honourable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent and anything worthy of praise!

Sometimes we wonder why many people despite their knowledge in the word of God still chose to live in sin. The word of the Lord has come in a powerful way to many but yet it seems to be without any effect. It is so for many because grace has not been made available.

With the zealousness of Paul while he made himself available to kill the people of God; no one will ever think he will ever labour for the same Christ he was persecuting until God made grace available for him.

Irrespective of your progress in the Lord, consider it a privilege under God through Grace and do not condemn men who appear to be struggling with pleasing God. You are saved by Grace and you will remain saved by Grace. Keep on looking up to God for help in every aspect of your incapacitation so as to see His salvation.

There are people in this life who are fast runner, brilliant, powerful, influential and rich but have never experienced fulfillment in various aspect of life. Everything that appears so easy for you is so; because the Lord made grace available.

Despite the fact that you have a part to play in everything God wants you to be, the fact still remains that you need grace to play it and to even become successful in life. When things work out for you in any aspect of life, it is not automatic but grace at work. To love God; obey His word and walk in His way does not come so easy but by Grace!

As a Child of God, you cannot live your life just anyhow, you can't eat just anything, you can't marry just anybody, you can't keep just any friend, you can't do just any job, you can't just live any where, you can't just make decision without considering the will of God; just because you are peculiar and specially created to fulfill God's purpose.

You must be mindful of who you are as you go on in life as a Child of God. Who you live to be will go a long way to determine your impact in the land of the living and your eternity.

In the concluding part of the scripture; the mind of God over various instructions in it, is presented to the human race. You are to decide on your own what you will do with respect to the word of God that you know. You have a choice to make in every issue of life.

Jesus said: come unto me. He did not force any one to Himself. Also, He chooses to stand at the door of every man's heart and knock but did not force Himself in. Therefore, to be a Christian does not happen by compulsion! You are required to serve God willingly.

All those who truly served God did that willingly. Be mindful of the fact that our Lord and our God is self sufficient and He is God all by Himself. Do not yield to any threat or empty promises; only what you do willingly and out of a free mind is acceptable before Him. Be motivated to serve God willingly, do your best to honour God with what you are and everything you have.

The first set of people called Christians were the disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. They were called Christians not because of their names or because they attended meetings but the fact that their lifestyle resembled that of Christ.

Your service and consecration towards God is nothing if your life does not resemble that of Christ. What is the essence of bearing John, Daniel, Joseph, Enoch, David, Paul and the likes if you are not known for righteousness, holiness, love, purity, peace, faithfulness, gentleness, kindness, self-control, meekness, humility etc.

Are you living to please God? Do you honour God with your life? Is God glorified with your deeds among men? Will people be pleased to serve your God without any reservation? Are you a role model? Do you give yourself to the word of God? Do you allow the Lord to live His life in you? You are not a Christian if the Lord is not pleased with your life and all you do.

Some people chose their career, church, spouse, dress, appearance, intonation, school, friends not based on their personality and desire but to satisfy the public to get their applause.

You have a unique purpose to fulfill, don't fulfill the dream of other people with your own life; it will cost you the fulfillment and happiness meant for you in the land of the living.

The fact that you need men to be what you want you be; you also need to be careful with men who have nothing to contribute to your destiny. Don't ever live your life to impress the people you don't even know. Discover to know what the will of God is in every issues of life.

Even though you appear small today the Lord sees you like a very big tree with many branches providing a cover for many spiritually, academically, financially, maritally, professionally; this is the kingdom of God! The Lord Jesus Christ is our model and what we see Him doing as revealed to us in the scripture is that He prayed perseveringly in all situations. The degree of your prayer life is the measure of how much you actually put your trust in God.

Pray continually, even when situations appear as if your prayers are not answered. Don't be weary when it seems as if the needed divine attention is not given to it. Your victory may be nearer than you think. It is very dangerous for a man to be tempted not to pray any more about his life.

Every prayer presented to God is a seed. There are good things you never prayed for that came your way. There are troubles of life that you escaped without any preparation in terms of prayer. Praying is your primary assignment and a weapon to live in dominion as a child of God.

When Joseph was at the age of 17, the Lord already sees him as the prime minister of Egypt. The Lord already sees you in the place of your heart desire. Cooperate with Him irrespective of the path He takes you through, His thought towards you is peace and for the fulfillment of your heart desire.

If proving men is an important attribute of God then who are you to live your life based on assumption. Not everything that appears good coming your way is good. You must always seek to know the will of God for you as a person. What is good for you may not be good for another.

You must validate who you accept to be your bosom friend, your mentor, your wife, your business or academic partner and those you share sensitive issues of your life with. You must also prove to know if you are in the right location, Church, School, Business or Job.

Not every message or things that appear spiritual can help your life. Irrespective of how wonderful things appear to be don't be carried away; seek that which good and hold on to it.

When you marry, you are marrying the personality of your spouse, his/her strength, weaknesses, profession, assets, liabilities, flop, pride, shame, present and future. This is what makes marriage a faith venture.

Furthermore, at the inception of marriage, you are also marrying his/her people; irrespective of who they are and their experiences over the years. Whether they are peaceful, lovable, understanding or not. At that point, you have additional fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunties, pastors, brethren etc.

Every Godly relationship starts with God and managed by His principles. Therefore, at wedding you are marrying the God of your spouse. King Solomon married several woman who turned his heart away from God. Therefore, you must not be unequally yoked with an unbeliever. Your spiritual progress in life and ministry under God depends on it.

The act of murder is rampant in the Bible. In much of the Bible, especially the Old Testament, there are laws that command that people be killed for absurd reasons such as working on the Sabbath, being gay, cursing your parents, or not being a virgin on your wedding night. In addition to these crazy and immoral laws, there are plenty of examples of God’s irrationality by his direct killing of many people for reasons that defy any rational explanation such as killing children who make fun of bald people, and the killing of a man who tried to keep the ark of God from falling during transport. There are also countless examples of mass murders commanded by God, including the murder of women, infants, and children.

The only sin here is the stupidity of Humans' refusal to see Christianity for the absurdity it is.

Haven't you discovered that where there is Christ there is peace? Does your belief make you a better person? When you have real encounter with Christ you will know there is nothing good than to be a Christian!

When you look around you are liable to see men who appear prosperous in their ways despite living in sin. You must never envy them. I have come to know that most people who do evil and engage in several malpractices to make a living or to accumulate things for themselves desperately seek for deliverance from such practices if they have their way.

The Lord is taking you somewhere! You can only be what He wants you to be through righteousness. The path He is taking you through may appear very slow and rugged but it is path of wisdom that leads to life. The likes of Joseph, David, 3 Hebrews, Daniel stood out at a point in their destiny walk and at the later end fulfilled God's plan for their lives.

There is a future end for you! Don't trade it for anything. You can't afford to miss it. You have a unique purpose to fulfill. Don't envy men who chose to disobey God in His principles.

Jonah is regarded as anything that will not obey or submit to God's will. Whatever goes along with you in destiny and causes you to sin against God is a Jonah. It is everything that disrupt the ship of your life to hinder your progress academically, maritally, spiritually etc.

Every element of a relationship that is leading you away from the narrow way or the will of God desist from them. Fear God and be zealous to doing the will of God. Eliminate the Jonah in the ship of your life to keep your destiny walk calm.

The Lord most of the time allows some things to happen to us just to see how much we have grown in our love, faith and loyalty to Him. He is interested in your reactions and nothing more.

Sometimes in the time of storm, we tend to ask questions like the disciples did; that " Lord, don't you care that we are perishing?" The action of the Lord in our text revealed the fact that He really cares for them.

The Lord's body language may tend to be slow or showing no actions. It is the test of your faith. Don't go out of the ship. As a result of this attitude, many people find it difficult to wait for God's salvation and miss their glorious destiny. Gehazi missed the ship taking him towards the plan of God for Him and became leprous.

Everything tempting you to disobey God is meant to take you out of the ship God prepared for your glorious destiny and plant your feet on a sinking sand.

God in His attributes will not stop various storms from ranging; however, you can be sure of safe landing with Him in your ship. It may look as if He is doing nothing about your case or as though sleeping or does not care whether you are sinking. The main issue is that He is interested in knowing the degree of your trust in Him.

Don't be tempted to go out of the ship or ignore His Lordship in the time of storm. Don't dive into the river of worldliness. Don't be afraid, His plans over your life is still very intact irrespective of what betides you. Trust in the Lord and you will get to your glorious destiny.

He knows how far you can go as far as the faith you claim to have is concerned. He knows the limit of your faithfulness, commitment and righteousness.

The time has come for you to evaluate your life and decide to live for Him. Men can underestimate what you can do due to the nature of your appearance, spiritual languages and company you keep but not God.

Men are not to be judged by the way they look or their activities but by what God knows about them. You must begin to walk on your weakness before it leads you into destruction.

Don't sacrifice your peace on the altar of unrighteousness and ephemeral things of this life. It isn't worth it. In your pursuit and getting in life, let the peace of Christ dwell in your heart.

King David after being established on the throne had a reflection of the past and remembered the good deeds of Jonathan towards Him. Every labour of love is an investment into the future. You can't really tell or decode what will become of you and your children in the days to come.

A day is coming when your good deeds will come to remembrance and the Lord will step out to ask if there is yet a man to be shown favour for your sake. Therefore, don't be weary of doing what is good. Desist from wickedness because every deed will be rewarded accordingly.

Try to live sacrificially among men, that is the only way to sow into your future. Be remembered for something good in every facet of life.
