The fact that our days on earth counts; we will all give the account of how we spent it before our creator!!!

"So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom."(Psalm 90:12 NKJV)

We must learn to always number our days as we proceed in destiny. When a man dies what comes into the heart of men is how old he or she was. The name of the deceased will be written along with his/her age signifying how long such spent.

What does it mean to number our days? It’s not the ability to count how many days we have lived or to predict how many days we have left. Numbering our days means, realizing the brevity of life. It means knowing that we only have so many days on this earth, and therefore we want to “seize the day,” living each day to the fullest.

We all must give account of how we spent each moment allotted to us. This is due to the fact that God allowed men to live varying numbers of days with respect to varying opportunities in the land of the living. Irrespective of how young you think you are, be mindful of the fact that your days count and you will give an account of how you spend it.

Prayer Point:

The fact that we can be called to face eternity without any a notice makes it imperative for us to always think about eternity and heaven in every inaction and actions!!!

A day is coming when you will be called to eternity in a bid to answer the questions of life. As we can see around us; people are dying without saying goodbye to their loved ones. They are not dying because they were sinners but because the Lord has designed life of every man to have a limit he cannot pass (Job 14:5)

Therefore, this life is not your own nor your home. You will either leave all you have or they leave you. Don't spend your entire life seeking for vanities, think about eternity. Life is given to prepare for eternity; when God meets your needs, He does that to help you to fulfill your dreams and mandate even as you prepare for your eternal home.

Every man wants to make Heaven. The first primary assignment of every man who truly desires to make it there is to think about Heaven. To think about heaven means to remember that; it is a holy place filled with God's Glory and Grace. It is the eternal home of the children of God who are holy, righteous, faithful and live a life patterned after Christ. Sin can never enter there.

Jesus said, “As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me” (John 9:4). What difference should Heaven make to us? First, it should make us live for things that will last. So much of what we do is temporary and fleeting, and has no lasting significance. But when we keep our eyes on Heaven, we’ll want to live for things that have eternal value. Jesus said, “Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you” (John 6:27).

Second, Heaven should make us want to live for Christ instead of ourselves. Jesus came down from Heaven for one reason: to make it possible for us to be with Him in Heaven forever. He did this by becoming the final sacrifice for our sins by His death on the cross. Once you understand this and welcome Him into your life, you’ll never be the same.

Some day you will die and stand before God. Could anything be more important than being prepared for that day? Don’t go down the wrong road, but turn to Jesus Christ and by a simple prayer of faith invite Him to come into your life today. Remember: Life is short—but eternity is forever!!!

The only and the best way to have your desire met is to delight yourself in the Lord who knows and holds your tomorrow. No matter what your aspiration may be, you can achieve it under God according to His plans for your life. Hence, in the midst of various alternatives made available by the evil one to meeting your desires delight yourself in the Lord. The price for every effort put in place is at the end. Every man created by God is created to solve problems. People like Moses, Joseph, David and Daniel solved unique problems in their days. Therefore, problems are inevitable as we proceed in destiny. They are the building blocks of a very beautiful world. Our lives are programmed to get better through overcoming challenges.

Any problem you fail to take bold step to confront remains to keep increasing your sorrow. Facing your problems is the pathway to happiness under God. For every issue in your life, the Lord is looking forward to seeing you doing something about it.

Do not fold your hands or wait for another person who equally have issues in his/her own life to solve your problems. Things get better in this life by taking proactive measure under God over difficult situations. Do not ignore, deny, run, rationalize your problems or blame people for it. Pray and ask God to take the problems away even as you take steps to solving it!!!

In this life, we have seen men who had money, material possessions, power and many other wonderful things every man desire but lack joy that comes from fulfillment on every side. Some even took their own life since they all gave them no reason to live on. What they had truly gave them momentarily happiness but with several vacuums which deprived them complete joy.

The Lord made it clear to all His disciples that all his teachings and everything He ever said is to ensure that their joy shouldn't be that of pleasurable things of this life but of Him and that they should have complete joy.

For your joy to be complete you must abide in Him and in His love to bear fruits in its season. You live your entire live knowing that without Him you can do nothing and that detaching yourself from Him will make you a cast away. Make yourself available to do at every point in time, so as to ensure that your desires are met according to His plans. It is in abiding in his word by obeying it that your joy will be complete.

We are living in a world which seems as if everything is modelled after ungodliness. There is no doubt in the fact that several ungodly men seems to be flourishing in various aspect of life. However, the fact still remains that the judgement of God awaits every man who is ungodly.

Irrespective of who you are, be it a Pastor, Worker in the household of God, Evangelist, An Overseer, the Lord sees you as ungodly if you live contrary to His will by walking in the counsel of the ungodly and ways of sinners. It is the desire of all men to have a blissful experience with the Lord here after. Whatever the case may be with you; be reminded that the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous!!!

The distinctive characteristic or attribute of men in this present age is that they will be ungrateful. Each time you see people gathering around a man, know that there is something juicy they are getting from him; the day he cease to be a blessing and become a liability he will be deserted.

Several men are only interested in men who can serve as the ladder they need to rise further in life and when such ladder appears to be irrelevant they ignore it. When you are in the position to help, help them as though you are rendering service unto the Lord and not for them to repay you.

To really help men, it required sacrifices. Don't be an ingrate towards men who sacrificially offered themselves to help you at the time of your incapacitation. And always find a way of replicating the kindness shown to you to men in need. The Lord will never be pleased with any man who forget the people on whom he stepped on to be who he is. What goes around comes around.

Many men on earth strive to make good history in their life time. No matter how wonderful the history we make may appear to be it will be surpassed, forgotten and become just a mere reference.

After every good thing we think we have done, nobody will care about it about it. Don't spend your life on things that only goes into the memory lane without significant impact in the lives of men. No one is talking about that man who has 20 houses, 4 wives and 50 cars in 1970 or the man who spent 100 million on his daughter's wedding last year.

Do not labour for vanities. Be mindful of the fact that eternity awaits you. Serve the Lord with your life while you can at every slightest opportunity.

Apart from the fact that God is the ultimate factor that defines the life of man; the fact still remains that He gives every man the exclusive right to be what he chooses to be. Your life cannot be greater than what you see yourself becoming. Our vision is an important driving force as we proceed in destiny.

Every man created by God is modelled after something or someone. Your marriage cannot be greater than the vision you have for your marital destiny. The way some people manage their homes is a product of what they see when growing as a child and their resolution about it. Your lifestyle, career, academics, ministry and other aspect of life is modelled in line with your vision in the course of time.

Be mindful of what you see and what you make your vision. What you see in the lives of people you mingle with is a prototype of what you will become. Align your vision in line with the plan of God for your life just like the case of Abraham in the text above. The best a man can be is what the Lord sees him to be.

When the Glory of the Lord comes over a man's life, it cannot be hidden, it will surely express itself to the world. There is no need for you to announce what the Lord is set to do or doing in your life. It is not everything about your life and destiny that you share with people, this is because we are living in an evil world.

This wisdom is an ancient one as we can see in the life of Saul. He only gave his uncle the information he needed and nothing else. This is how we should live so as to come to the peak of God's plan for our lives. Several destinies have been aborted because the people in question placed themselves to lime light before maturity.

Some people are so eaten up by the social media that you can make an account of the progress of their lives. Our Lord Jesus was rebuked when He started teaching at age 12. We heard nothing about Him until the fullness of time that His ministry on earth took off. If you want to grow, you must accept to grow in obscurity until your manifestation.

Life is characterized by several threatening situations that weakens the soul of men thereby subjecting them to timidity. As long as we remain and sojourn in the land of the living we will be subjected to fear in various aspect of our incapacitation as humans. The greatest consolation and confidence we have is that we have a God who has offered to be with us, strengthen, help, uphold us with His right hand.

Therefore, you need not to worry or fear. However, you have every reason to fear if God is not the one you are looking up to for help. It is an understatement to say a man can never get what looks like help from various sources in life. Real help for life and destiny comes from God alone. No matter how long it takes for God to intervene on your matter wait for Him. Only Him can truly help you; allow Him to help you.

It is not enough to engage in various spiritual activities, speak spiritual languages, move with people of God and appear in the garment of godly people; we must always look critically into the way we live to see if we are still doing the will of God and obeying His word. To be in faith means to believe in the word of God and act accordingly.

Irrespective of what you present yourself to do in the name of God, it will never pay you if you are not living in line with the word of God. Our God is holy and those who choose to serve him must be holy and work in His ways. Hence, this message is coming to you to encourage you that you are required to serve God without shortcomings.

Sometimes, the best of a person does not come until we are in trouble. No man in this life actually succeeds in anything without overcoming challenges. You only have breakthrough when you are able to pass-through various hurdles to achieve your goals. Life's challenges are essential part of our lives and are meant to make us a better person.

The challenges in your life is not different from the one common to all men, it only have different dimension and fields. Every marriage that works, worked not because they didn't face challenges but because the people involved passionately and diligently made it work with the wisdom of God.

This is also applicable to people in ministry, business, academics and career. Nothing actually works naturally, things are made to work by confronting the challenges against it. Life will not but always present various issues to prompt you to give up; always find strength in God to stand in all challenging situations of life.

Focus: Grace can be Wasted

It is not enough for grace to be made available it is another issue for it to be utilized. For grace to be useful, it must be matched with labour!!!

Our God over time has proven to be faithful in every facet of life. He is a righteous judge who rules in the affairs of men. He relates with all men based on certain measure of grace. Most people that failed in destiny did not fail because grace was not made available but because they didn't maximise the grace of God made available for them.

As for Apostle Paul, He said the grace of God over his life was not in vain. In the actual sense, there is no doubt in the fact that the grace of God was not in vain in His life because the impact He made is still obvious to us in this end time.

We cannot blame God for the level we find ourselves and various challenging situations we are, because He has played His part by making grace available for us base on our individual capacity through His word and various means. Our own part He will not play. When grace is made available for you, be mindful of the fact that it is time to work out His plans for your life.

Our Lord in this passage is laying an example to us in this present age that when it comes to issue that has to deal with the fulfillment of one's mandate in all aspects of life; one must go a little farther from others and subject one's effort to the will of God.

A man who keeps doing the same thing the same way will continue to have the same experience. It is required that you go a little farther in your prayer life, devotional life, consecration, in the manner you handle your business, academics, ministry, career, relationship and marriage.

There is no man living on earth that will not have his own share of evil days. The Lord did not promise any man a problem free life in the land of the living but assured His people His presence in every situation of life. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Ps.46.1). Hence, all men are required to remember Him early enough in every situation of life.

In remembering our creator, we must always remember that God rules in all affairs of men and that without Him there is nothing we can do. Also, we must remember His ways and precepts guiding every situation of life. We must seek to know what He requires of us at a point in time in every situation.

You must prepare for evil days as you proceed in destiny for they will be many. Allow God to get involved in all affairs of your life. When He is holding your hands no evil can harm you.

Sometimes what we pass through tends to make us come to a conclusion that our God is not strong enough. We may be tempted to wonder why some things happen to us despite the fact that we serve Him faithfully. Whatever the case may be, it doesn't change the fact that God our redeemer is strong.

Our God is great but sometimes appear to be weak. He allowed the children of Israel to be taken captive to the land of Babylon because of their sins. To their captors it was just as if they have no one to deliver them. However, He had a good plan for them and that plan wa]s that they should have an expected end.

Are you under any form of oppression from the hands of various oppressors despite the fact that you are faithfully serving God?

You are required to place much value on your relationship. Don't treat those men who had your back when you were incapacitated as a ladder which you only need to rise in life.

Life and times have changed; the present generation is clever and practical. Most people see every relationship as a ladder on which they step to rise further in life but when they no longer need it, they throw it into the Atlantic ocean. Several men who are advanced in age were abandoned by their children to allow them to suffer when taking the few last step of their lives. If these men helped their children to take the first step of their lives don't they deserve support in the few last steps of their lives?

It is only a matter of time, the new school will later become old school. Don't look down on any relationship irrespective of how they appear to be if it is Godly! Life grows like a tree which needs care, love, patience, endurance and relationship to survive and to find fulfilment.

If you are still praying over some issues but yet there is no improvement; don't be tired, intensify your prayers. Compare not yourself with others who are operating on a different measure of grace.

Fingers they say are not equal. Hea deals with every man He created according to certain measure of grace. In every aspect of life where your ax appears to be dull and unshaped, you need more strength and the wisdom of God to be successful. What we see in life is that there is no man who is powerful in all aspect of life.

Hence, you must understand and have good knowledge of your strength and weakness in every aspect of life. A young lady discovered that she is very weak in most of the subject she offered in her final year in the college. In a bid to succeed in the final external exam, she put in more effort than ever. When others read for 30 minutes; she reads for 2 hours. At the end of the day her result was outstanding.

Irrespective of the shortcomings in your life do not make them cut you short. Seek for the wisdom of God pertaining to it and put more effort. Most men who became great were those who overcame their weaknesses.

Your family and close associates are the first set of people who can really tell us the real definition of your personality. They are the ones who have direct feeling of your growth in every facet of life. Therefore, your lifestyle before them is a factor that determines the view about your God.

Your ministry is meaningless when it not meaningful to your family and those who keep a close watch on your life. It is a pity that there are several so called men of God who have big names with people in the church and even in the media but are no where to be found in terms of integrity, righteousness, love and holiness before their wives, children, husbands and close associates.

The first target of your ministry is your household. What did not work within the circumference of your household cannot work with people afar off. Charity begins at home. Whatever you will be in the public must take its root from your house hold. If you must give, care, show love and share the best of your testimony, it must start from your home. Stop struggling for pulpit put your house and immediate contact in order.

You become what you desire by taking the first step towards it according to the word of God even when you don't know how to get there. You must be mindful of the fact that every step you take is not all about you but about God who created you to fulfill His purpose. Your marriage, ministry, career, business, job, academics is a venture of faith; you must always seek to know the word of God for you and respond accordingly irrespective of what betides as you proceed in destiny.

A man will only be good and do what is right when he renews his heart to do the will of God. The fact that a man is born again or a Christian does not make doing the right thing automatic for him; he has to always choose between what is the will of God and what is not.

Many who are called by the name of God has dragged His name in the mud because of the fact that they refused to renew their mind at the point of decision making. Doing evil come naturally with all men. If you must please God in all your pursuits in life you must renew your mind. Temptation to lie, steal, rob, fight, keep malice, kill, commit adultery and fornication, slander, be drunk, envy, jealous, get angry and the likes will surely come your way all the days of your life. You must continue as long as you live to renew your mind to be on the Lord's side.

Most of what we pass through in the journey of destiny is for a purpose. Despite the fact that Jesus was in the boat with His disciples, they still experienced storm. The fact that God is with you does mean that you will not experience storm in every facet of life. The Lord did not attend to the situation until they called Him to intervene. He used the situation to teach them the practicality of having faith in Him.

Have you come to a point in the journey of destiny and your boat appears to be drowning with little or no intervention from the Lord despite your prayers, sacrifices, commitment, faithfulness and righteousness? The Lord uses various challenging situation of life to work out His purpose. He will always seek to know your faith, loyalty and character. You must try as much as possible to please God in all situation of life.

Nevertheless, it is an established fact that God is good to all men and He has compassion over all His creations.

It is sometimes difficult to reconcile the fact that terrible things happen to men and at the same time the Lord is good. The truth of the matter is that; there is no man, no matter how devoted he is to God, that will not have a share of His own ordeal in the land of the living. This is because the Lord uses most of these situations in our lives to remind us that earth is not our home and to establish our faith in Him through various miracles we experience on the account of our ordeals. Hence, irrespective of what you are passing through and what you will pass through be mindful of the fact that the Lord is good and the compassion the situation needs, will come from Him.

The fact that life is in two phases makes it very imperative for every man created by God to be strong in whatever times they are passing through. Like Job said shall we receive what is good and not bad. We must learn that the God of the day is still God of the night and He deserves our praises in all season.

Jesus came performing miraculous works in the lives of men, having great time but yet the time of darkness came over Him even as the Lord of all. It will be very difficult for some people to accept the fact that all men will not but experience evil days on earth because of lack of knowledge and experience or understanding.

Therefore, we must brace ourselves up to prepare for evil days and be mindful of God's promises at such times. David says he prepares my hand for war because that is the nature of the world we are. Irrespective of what happens to you, God is God. In the same locality where men are praising God, dancing and rejoicing; others are crying and weeping.

A man was appreciating God for His goodness in their lives by saying that he serves a God that does what he says. This is absolutely true. I paused to think about it and remembered that the same God made it clear to us that in this world we will see trouble but victory is assured.

The only issue with men is that we always forget the goodness of the Lord when things appear to be getting worse contrary to our expectations. As the Lord is doing great things in our lives we should be mindful that life is in two phases. There are people in terrible situation of life presently not because they are sinners but because such is life. Hence, in all situation, God is God and after Him there is no other.
