Focus: Principles of Reconciliation

WORD FOR TODAY
You cannot claim to have reconciled with God when you have not reconciled with men who have issues with you. Reconciliation with the men you can see preceeds any form of reconciliation with God!!!

The evidence of the fact that you truly know God is rooted in the manner you handle your relationship with men. The Lord places much priority on our relationship with the people that you can see than with Him. Before you begin to talk of righteousness, holiness you must consider being​ at peace with men (Heb 12:14).

The Lord insisted that the gift of a man who have issues with his brother is an abomination to Him and sees such a man as a hypocrite who wants to please the God he cannot see while having issues with the man he sees. He also added that there is no forgiveness for the shortcomings of any man who fails to forgive those who offended him.

You are to forgive people who offended you and make peace with people who are offended by your actions by apologizing to them. Sometimes, it may be difficult but it is very necessary to clear the way for you before God to ensure that your prayers are answered.

The best thing that ever happened to us, is the fact that God is standing by our side to bring His word to pass. He is the reason we live; the only One for us. We cannot fear because we have Him and we are surrounded by His love; His everlasting love. We need not to care what people say because
they don't know what He means to us and His precious plans for us.

Our yesterday wasn't without His grace, our today is full of the assurance of His wonderful Love and our tomorrow is secured in His hands. Our life is all about Him and for Him. Thank you for our yesterday, today and days to come; all we are and what will be, will be for your Glory alone.

To be happy in life, you have to think about feeling good, feeling bad, and feeling right, in an atmosphere of growth. One singular goal you must have as proceed in destiny is to make people happy in all you do.

Your home will not be what it should be if the people in it are not happy. You cannot be happy as a husband if you don't invest in the happiness of your wife and vice versa. As a parent you will not be happy if you don't invest in the happiness of your children.

Irrespective of your job, you will not be happy if your customers or clients are not happy with your service. As a minister of God, your happiness is subjected to how much your ministry ministers joy and happiness in the lives of men.

To make people happy it involves so much love from a sacrificial heart. The beauty of your world is a not a function of the material possessions at your disposal but the people who find happiness, joy and love through your existence.

All the happenings of today, will become history tomorrow. In all you do, be mindful of the fact that the night is coming when no one will not be able work. Every man will leave various scenes in life.

The new school of today will become old school tomorrow. Those who are in charge of various domain of life will no longer be there tomorrow. Life will not but always present various opportunities to fulfill your mandate. The strength, charisma, brilliance, wisdom, power, money, position and authority that you have today will not be there tomorrow.

In this life, I have never seen a man who is a boss, general overseer, chairman, Vice-chancellor, Manager, Principal, Director, Head-master, President, Governor forever. Many of those who held some of this post are either regarded as late or former this and that. This cycle will continue with every living soul at every phase in time.

In every opportunity you have within the limited time allotted to you, do the will and work of God the Father who sent you before the night shade falls over you.

Life is a mystery. It can be so funny atimes. Nothing is actually certain in this life. There are several men who used to be nobody but are now somebody under whose wing many people find refuge in various aspect of life. There are men who used to live big and in affluence but are now living in penury; various situation of life humbled them to the point of becoming the shadow of their formal self.

I have never in life seen a man who occupied a position for life. No man can be great forever. No matter how wonderful your records may appear to be, they will be broken someday; trophys and various awards will end up in the trashcan. Consider yourself a product of privilege and grace in every position you find yourself because life is a test, trust and a temporary assignment.

Treat all men with respect and honour God in their lives. Whatever position you find anyone is a prototype of what your life can be. At any point in life do not forget who you used to be and believe in your dreams. Whatever the case may be with you be mindful of the fact that life does not end here!

The verdict of God concerning various issues of life determines what your experience will be at a point in time. God in a bid to keep our excesses as men in check subject to us to various life challenges. Therefore, most of the time, what we pass through is meant to help us and teach us what we can't get reading books, bible or listening to messages but through experience (Rom 8:28).

There are several men out there who were raised from the kingdom of darkness to exploit people on the account of their problems. When you think about the solution to your problems think about God. Let God alone take the glory over your life.

In all situation be mindful of the fact that God is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble and those who truly know His name will trust in Him because He has never forsaken those who seek Him. Take your problems to God alone and if you must involve men; involve those who will lead you to God without exploiting your plights.

The attributes of God is revealed to the entire human race right from creation. He is the Lord who prepared and gave the best to man even before he was created. The depth of His love for us prompted Him to give us His son as a sacrificial lamb for our sins when man falls.

Also, what we saw in Jesus is that He surrendered Himself for the remission of sins so that the entire human race will have and know joy of eternal life. His entire life is all about what He will give. The Lord is expecting you to do more of giving than receiving because giving is a sure way to becoming blessed.

Our nation will be great if everyone in every domain will only think about what he will give to make it great rather than what he will get. The ultimate secret of getting the best from life is giving your best in every facet of life. We are expected to be like Him by giving our best. This is the only way to be a saviour.

The Lord will not be pleased with you if His investment over your life does not match with His expectation over you. Each time you fail to be a worthy ambassador for His glory you have succeeded in bringing disgrace to yourself, mandate and your ambassadorship.

The Lord is counting so much on you to represent Him accurately in His fullness in every domain of your placement; do not make nonsense of your consecration. One of those things we cannot but experience in the land of the living is that we will be offended and also offend others. Irrespective of what any man do to offend you; try as much as possible to forgive such.

Forgiveness is an important prerequisite if your prayers will be answered. It is a very serious issue before God to the extent that whatever you offer in the presence of unforgiveness is unacceptable before Him.

As far as God is concerned, there is no sin too big that is not pardonable and there is no man who is not an offender before Him.

No matter how holy or righteous you think you are, the fact still remains that you will need the mercy of God to make Heaven because the righteousness of a man is regarded as filthy rag before Him and what qualifies a man to receive His mercy is the absence of unforgiveness.

What happened to the likes of Joseph, David, Abraham and Jacob revealed the efficiency of God's word with respect to their existence. The happenings in your life is following a spiritual trend. You are a product of prophecy.

Therefore, cooperate with God by yielding yourself to His word to bring about the fulfillment of His purpose in your life.

Sometimes I observe the lives of some people and discover that despite their quest for money and material possessions they couldn't achieve more than what they achieved and in a long run, left everything for people who didn't contribute much to their struggles. Some of these people find it very difficult to find the required satisfaction from their achievements.

With all they have, they still yearn for more even as they live in the guilt of living unrighteous lives. The life of the rich fool was cut short after all he gathered. Everything he worked for became another's. You are an eternal being, you have not come to stay here on earth. Trust God for your needs and live to please Him and have it at the back of your mind that it is only what you are able to pass on to eternity is what is truly your own.

Life is given to prepare for eternity. Great men with great certificates, titles, power, material possessions, have come and gone. Settle not for euphemism live with eternity consciousness having God in view.

Money is good and inevitable but you must ensure that you are not eaten up by the Spirit behind it. Mammon will not but always want to stand in between you and God!!!

There are several wonderful men out there who love the Lord and want to serve him, but are hindered by mammon. They are doing well as far as several aspect of life is concerned except various issues of life that has to deal with money. You must be mindful of the fact that mammon (money) is a god on its own because it always present itself self as alternative to everything that has to do with God.

A man can choose to desist from doing the will of God with regards to who he should marry, where he should be at a point in time, the type of work he should do, the type of message he should give, the calibre of friends he should have, the level of his integrity, the principle of his life, his ambition, his commitment to the work of God, the truth he should acknowledge and speak, his activities, the manner he runs his ministry just because of money.

Money provides the benchmark to testing your character, faithfulness, commitment, love, holiness and righteousness. The Lord makes it clear to us that true riches will only be made available to us when we are faithful in things and issues that has to do with money (Luke 16:11). Beware of mammon, your life is not free under God until you are free from issues that has to do with money.

Evil looms in the heart of a man who places high priority on money in the affairs of his life. Money is important in every affairs of human endeavour but not the most important thing; God is the ultimate factor.

In everything you do, do not allow money to come first. When money comes first in your thinking, the best you can get for the very best you put in place will be money devoid of integrity, satisfaction and fulfillment. The quest for money will become a driving force for everything you do be it physically or spiritually.

You set a limit to how far you can go in life when mammon dictates the tune of your decisions, reactions, actions and inactions. The love of money is what makes several men thieves, unfaithful, murderers, adulterous, backstabbers and slanderers. You are created to fulfill God's purpose. Submit yourself to fulfill your God's given mandate every where you find yourself and God by the virtue of His mercy will make you prosperous (Matt 6:33).

The ultimate factor in every situation of life is God. It is only through Him that everything that existed, exists and what will be will be. Our experience today is a product of His word and so also our tomorrow will not be an exception (John 1:3-4).

As we can see in the creation story, everything the Lord said was exactly implemented according to His words. Irrespective of the situation of your life, the words of the Lord over you remains because your life is a work in progress in His hands; He will perfect that which concerns you.

Therefore, go on in life having the consciousness that God rules in all affairs of men and that His word as far as the blessings or rewards for righteous and holy living as well as judgement or consequence for sinfulness and unrighteousness holds. The manner in which everything that was created came into being, so also will His word concerning eternity be ~it will be so!

Not every man who sets out on time in the journey of destiny gets to their destination on time ahead of those who started late. In our passage, Ahab embarked on the journey to Jezreel on a Chariot and Elijah was travelling on his foot but the hands of the Lord came upon Him and he outran Ahab traveling on Chariot.

It doesn't matter if in the journey of destiny, life does not provide for you chariot like many others who appeared to have overtaken you; the most important victuals for your journey in destiny is the hands of the Lord. Many people are doing all they could even if it means to sin against God to achieve something for themselves. These men may appear to be ahead but in the actual sense they are traveling on a sinking sand.

As you proceed in destiny, pursue the vision of the Lord in all your endeavours; walking on the pathway of righteousness. Ensure that you are not out of God's favour and mercy in all your pursuits. This is the only way, God can be involved in the affairs of your life and make things beautiful at its own time.

Focus: Test All Spirits

Every man irrespective of who he is or his works and appearance before men is either being ruled by the Spirit of God or that of the devil. To ensure that you are on the Lord's side at every point in time, you must prove every spirit with the word of God!!!

People are destroyed not because they don’t love God. People can love God and still be destroyed because they don’t have knowledge. There are several men out there who in the name of serving God exploit people based on their limited knowledge of the word of God. In the actual sense they are not men of God; they are either agents of darkness or better still servants to mammon (money).

Irrespective of the investment, impact, sacrifice any man would have made on your behalf; you must never yield yourself to such if he leads to a path contrary to God's word. There is a limit you must obey any man to irrespective of who he is. You must stop following when he stops following Christ Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith.

When a man charges or ask for any kind of donation for deliverances, or service rendered in the name of the Lord; that is not from God. Jesus said: Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. (Matt 10:8 KJV). When you are asked to sow seeds and go to the extend of borrowing so that God can bless you; there is a question you must always ask: Did Jesus do the same?

A so called man of God urinated in an empty bottle and brought it to his church and say this is anointing from the body of the man of God and his people began to drink it. Where do you find such in the word of God?
Whatever comes to you in the name of God must be proved by the standard Christ laid for us as believers.

One of those things we cannot but experience in the land of the living is famine; which can happen as a result of the consequences of our sins or the testing of our character at certain times. In the case of the Israelites in the scenario in 1King 18, they experienced famine as a result of their sins, however, after the third year the Lord had mercy on them.

There is no doubt in the fact that you have spent so many days in lack in various aspect of life. Even though you may appear before men as though everything is fine. Irrespective of the aspect of life you are experiencing famine the season of abundance is here. As we proceed into the last quarter of this year, the Lord will have mercy on us and our famine in various aspect of life will pass away because we will not only hear the sound of rain but also experience divine shower. The season of refreshing is here.

There is no doubt in the fact that there will be at least one reason for you to detest your loved ones, your work and your faith. When you truly love you must know that love covers multitude of sins. Irrespective of how the life of your loved ones, work and every other thing attached to your life may appear to be the fact still remains that you must be humble enough to love and celebrate them.

Try as much as possible to celebrate your wife/husband or wife/husband to be, celebrate your people because they had your back in your time of trouble. Celebrate your work if it is helping you to affect lives and please God. Celebrate your vision because they will come to reality. Celebrate your faith and the God you serve.

Don't compare your life with the lives of others but live your life to fulfill your God's given mandate and dreams. This is the only way your life can be celebrated by others. No competition in destiny, if you must look at the life of others, you must do so to learn the good things in their lives. You are a celebrity if you can at least celebrate yourself by believing in your dreams.

When Joseph was sold, his brothers bragged by saying they will see what becomes of his dreams; they announced his death to their father. Later when they discovered that He was the Prime Minister of Egypt the same set of people carried the news to their father.

A man derails from the perfect plan of God for his life at every point he chooses to do contrary to the will of God to walk out of His pattern for his life. Every man will surely come to a critical junction which will serve as a turning point where he will decide what his fate will be in destiny.

The manner Jacob spoke about Reuben in the text above indicates that he started very well until he came to a point where he missed it. The only thing he was able to get is that he will not excel. Joseph equally came to this junction but he chose to focus on doing the will of God and he preserved his mandate.

Your actions today determines what your fate will be tomorrow be it in academics, marriage, career, ministry and other aspect of life. When you take a critical look at the life of people like Adam, Cain, Saul, Gehazi, Esau etc. you will discover that there is no other way to miss it in destiny than to disobey the word of God.

Our Lord came to a point at the onset of His ministry on earth, where the devil came to test Him in a bid to make Him fail exactly the way Adam failed in the beginning. The devil adopted the strategy of fake promises similar to the one he used for Adam and Eve. You also, as long as you live, will always get to the the junction of having an option of bowing to the devil.

There are several people who are bowing down to the devil today in different dimensions. Each time a man considers and does contrary to the word of God to act contrary to His will, he is worshiping the devil.
The word of God says:
Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? (Rom 6:16).

It is an established fact that God cannot tell you to steal, kill, backbite, embezzle, fight, keep malice, display unforgiveness, engage in any act of unrighteousness etc. The one you truly serve dictates the tune of your life.

The limitations in your life is just like the type common to all men. Everyone who made it in every facet of life, made it despite all limitation. Don't allow your limitations to hinder you to be who God wants you to be. Believe in yourself and fulfill your dreams and mandate above all limitations.

The word of God through Apostle Paul made it clear to us that if all you can get from serving God is ephemeral things of this life like cars, houses, power, cloths, lands and other wonderful possessions; you are miserable. This is because you don't need to serve God to have them; several unbelievers have them in abundance.

It is a pity that several men who claim to be serving God or His representative lose sight of the ultimate gift of eternal life and drag the name of the Lord in the mud due to their quest for money, fame, power and material things of this life. You are not serving God if your life does not portray, godliness, righteousness and holiness.

Life is given to serve humanity and to prepare for eternity. Whatever faith you claim to have is not of God if it does not make you a good citizen, a blessing to your nation nor give you an assurance of eternity with God.

The hallmark of a true child of God is that their lives are patterned after Christ. You cannot say you love God and your life is contrary to His words.

There are people who claimed to love the Lord but brought shame and disgrace to the Gospel. They make light of God's principles and make nonsense of the golden heritage of God's word from ages. What they say, teach and preach contradict their deeds to prove they have not known His saving grace.

There is no way we can receive a bright and shining crown or at last win a great reward in God's eternal presence if we remain in sin and spurn His love. If you claim you are a child of God who loves the Lord, you must always prove by obeying Him and living in conformity to His standards with respect to His word.

What you get in life is not as important as the way you get it and the source from which you get it. Everything you get in the right way under God will never trouble your conscience nor give you sleepless nights. The blessings of the Lord is characterized by righteousness, peace, joy and prosperity. It comes with contentment.

What is the essence of what you get from life that deprives you of peace with your creator, leave you with guilt that robs you of the required confidence to approach God's presence and places doubt in your heart as far as eternity with God is concerned.

Whatever God did not give you is not good for you nor can it give the fulfillment you truly desire in the land of the living. In everything you seek in life, seek God first above all; that the only way to be truly blessed of the Lord.

You can only enjoy the blessing and the goodness of the Lord in the journey of destiny if and only if you find contentment in Him. To be contented means to believe God to help you and to wait for the salvation of God in all situation of life.

Nothing on this earth can be enough. In the midst of various goals and aspirations, be mindful of the fact that you will only have peace as you proceed in destiny when you seek God above all things in all situation. The best of the blessing you can have in life will only come from God, give yourself to walking in His ways and trust your life into His hands.

The way you are living your life now is exactly what you will be remembered for when you are no more. No matter how smart you think you can be in hiding your evil deeds before the people of God the fact still remains that it is obvious to at least some people who know your real personality.

There are some people who know who you are irrespective of the garment you use to cover your deeds. If you are a fraudster, debtor, adulterer, fornicator, evil doer, backstabber, wicked, unrighteous; you will be remembered for it. Your deeds will continue to linger in the mind of your victims even when you are forgotten.

Similarly, only the truth that in life you have spoken, only the seed that on earth you have sown; these shall pass onward when you are forgotten. Your righteous deeds, love, kindness shown, benevolence will continue to be a monument of your existence even when you are no more. Live your entire life to be an epitome of eternal excellence and joy of many generations.

Focus: You have a set time

WORD FOR TODAY
Every man embarking on a journey goes on with the consciousness of returning at a set time. No matter how beautiful or bad life appeared to be to you on earth, the fact still remains that you have not come to stay!!!

"Then the king said to me (the queen also sitting beside him), "How long will your journey be? And when will you return?" So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time. (Nehemiah 2:6 NKJV)

The unit of life is time. The place we used to be is not where we are. And where we are now will never be our permanent abode. We came into this world because it pleased the Lord to give us life. We are not like that aborted or still born child. Also, it pleased Him to bring us this far in the journey of destiny.

However, in the manner we attended primary school, college and higher institution and left at certain times, we will leave this life. You will leave this life at a set time as you can also see that others are leaving. It is not to frighten you or make you sad but to encourage you to make the most of every moment and opportunities you have. Live every moment of your life as if it is the last. Live for God and fulfill your mandate in absolute righteousness and holiness.

+ What time did you set? Are you prepared to meet your God?

Prayer Point:
Lord! Help me to live a fulfilled life within the days of my pilgrimage on earth. May I never fail in destiny in Jesus name. Amen!!!

In the manner your birth is announced so also will your departure at a set time!!!

Focus: Why Should We Number Our Days

"So teach us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom."(Psalm 90:12 NKJV)

We need to number our days for the following reasons:

1) Tomorrow isn’t promised to you (James 4:14): The sudden death of a loved one reminds us of our mortality on this earth. How could it be that someone we saw with life be dead in minutes or days? Yet it happens every day and we are reminded that we must work every day for the Lord as if it is our last.

2) Life on earth could be shorter than you think (Luke 12:20). We are not only aware of our own mortality but of the brevity of life of people younger than us. We cannot breathe one moment longer than God allows.

3) Many missed opportunities can’t be restored (Hebrews 3:15).
The problem with decisions we make in life is that we may not always get a second chance. If we miss opportunities of divine callings, we may never get to redo that moment. While there is hope even after a missed calling, we must make the most of every opportunity.

4) Relationships with family and friends could end without warning (Hebrews 3:13). We can easily take our family and friends for granted—assuming that they will always be around and available. Yet that is not the case, our closest companions could be snatched away at a moment’s notice and we don’t want our last memory to be overwhelmed with regret.

So teach me, Lord, to number my days, so that I might grow in wisdom, so that I might live each day in the best possible way in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Main Emphasis:
We need to number our days because, there is a limit set for every human life in the land of the living!!!
