Below is what popular writer Onyeka Nwelue shared..... 'President Buhari is a part of the elite group, the Establishment. They impoverish us and use money made off Nigerians to send their children abroad. They tell us they work harder than us and if we can afford to send our children abroad to study, that we are at liberty to do so. Then, they return and throw what they call graduation parties and shove their happiness into our face. We are sad. Of course. I have already agreed that Mr Buhari is an acute failure. He came in, threatening to better the lives of Nigerians, but after one year, Mr President has failed in every way. He remains the most clueless politician I know at the moment. This is no personal attack on his person, but for allowing his children celebrate their graduation in foreign universities publicly, at a time when there is no Nigerian university that one can pride over, I must tell you how much I feel disgusted by this negligence and unintelligible mask displayed by a man the entire nation looks up to. Pundits would argue that there is nothing wrong in Buhari’s children being sent overseas. They argue that other world leaders do same. It is a fair argument, the trouble is that in the case of Mr Buhari, the country he governs is crippled. For Buhari’s children to be sent ‘away’ to get ‘better’ education shows how much of a corrupt person he is. Again, seeing Abike Dabiri at the graduation party heightens the intensity of my worry over the future of Nigeria. I am deeply troubled by what has happened to the educational system of Nigeria. Like I have always said, university education in Nigeria is an absolute scam. It brews, like rotten tea, the most incompetent young people — young people who can’t reason for themselves. Many of them are scared of exploring because their lecturers had told them that their paper would fetch them anything they want in life. That’s an A4 paper. It has never helped anyone who can’t help themselves, but they chose to ignore this part. I know that Mr Buhari is not apologetic at all. He is a hardened man. He is very principled and doesn’t tend to bend for anyone. He is rigid. Buhari’s Children will love him like that because he is their father, but they are not aware of the curses their father will bring on them. It is a beautiful thing to graduate from a university after whiling away your time, reading theories for 3 to 6 years. It is a good feeling. I understand that. But what Mr Buhari doesn’t realise is that many people can’t afford to send their children overseas. And what is Mr Yusuf Buhari going to contribute to Nigeria? I’m watching. Of course, I am certain he will be of no use to us. I hate the fact that Buhari doesn’t know he is a President. He still thinks he is a farmer and that we are his cattle' Source: http://www.trezzyhelm.com/2016/12/onyeka-nwelue-blasts-buhari-are-most.html

PRESS STATEMENT MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES ENDS 2016 ON A HIGH AS KACHIKWU SIGNS LANDMARK AGREEMENT NEW CASH CALL POLICY INCREASES FG’S ANNUAL REVENUE BY $2B …IOCs AGREE TO ARREARS REPAYMENT FRAMEWORK AS NET REVENUE IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE TO $14B BY 2020 In a move which will restructure the financing template for oil earnings, increase investments and boost government revenues, the Minister of State, the Federal Government has reached agreement on a new cash call exit policy with the international oil companies (IOCs). The historic agreement which will bring clarity and stability to the management of the country’s main revenue source was announced by the Minister of State, Petroleum Resources while giving an account of key achievements of the Ministry in 2016 yesterday has already received the approval of the Federal Executive Council. It is part of new measures and strategies aimed at eliminating the burden of Joint Venture Cash Call arrears and securing future funding for the Upstream Petroleum Sector. These strategies which are fully supported by the National Economic Council (NEC) will lead to an increase in national production from the current 2.2mbpd to 2.5mbpd by 2019, as well as reduction in Unit Technical Costs from $27.96/Barrel Oil Equivalent (boe) to $18/boe. The net payments to the Federation Account is expected to double from about $7Billion to over $14Billion by 2020 and the immediate effect of the new cash call policy will increase net FGN Revenue per annum by about $2billion. Dr. Kachikwu outlined other innovations and initiatives championed by the ministry over the past year which have revamped the sector, restored investors’ confidence which was at an all-time low and positioned Nigeria’s Oil and Gas value chain for profitability. It would be recalled that based on historical records, the current Cash Call system has been structurally defective and has failed to address the perennial Joint Venture funding challenges being experienced in the industry where the Federal Government underfunding of the industry through JV Cash Calls stood at $9.125 billion by September 2016. This arrangement will guarantee payments of statutory Oil and Gas Royalties and taxes by NNPC and its JV partners as well as profit from its investments in the Joint Ventures. At US$42.5 per barrel Oil price which the 2017 budget is predicated on and US$24 per barrel fiscal cost recovery proposed for 2017 in FGN Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) recently submitted to NASS, over US$13 per barrel will accrue to Government as Royalties & Taxes from Joint Venture Oil and Gas Production apart from US$2.8 per barrel estimated as Government share of profit, at 57% equity. This will restore investors’ confidence and achieve accelerated production growth in the Joint Ventures. New Governance processes will also be introduced. The negotiation on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria which was led by Dr. Kachikwu resulted in a remarkable agreement by the IOCs who have agreed to be paid their accumulated arrears up to December 2015, payable over the period of about five years. It is important to note that this will not be a cash burden on the Federal Government as payments will be made via incremental production from each JVC. Aside this key agreement on Joint Venture Cash Call Arrears Payment and Future Funding Mechanism signed today, it would be noted that under the stewardship of Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu as Minister of State for Petroleum Resources and leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari, the Ministry has also made considerable accomplishments in the international frontiers through maintaining robust relationships and strengthening linkages within and outside the petroleum producing community. Achievements recorded in 2016 include the following: 1. Successful tenureship and handover of the Presidency of four key international energy organisations namely: - The Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) - Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC); - African Petroleum Producers Association (APPA); and - West African Gas Pipeline Authority (WAGPA). 2. Successful election of Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo of Nigeria as the Secretary - General of the OPEC 3. Successful mobilization of OPEC members and Non-OPEC Oil Producers to dialogue on the stabilization of the global market in Doha; Algiers which culminated into the achievement of freeze on production at the 171st conference in Vienna 4. Rise in oil prices to US$55/per barrel for the first time in 16 months after negotiations with non-OPEC producers 5. Nigeria's successful negotiation of an exemption from the production freeze; 6. Successful hosting of the 52nd Conference of Ministers of African Petroleum Producers Association in March 2016 (APPA); 7. Provided leadership and support to other APPA members in the development of legislation, institution and systems for local content in Africa Finally, The Minister of State pledged that the Ministry will continue to drive innovation and change in its approach to delivering an oil and gas industry that is internationally competitive and is governed by open and transparent processes to ensure security of investment for both domestic and international investors. FCTA OPENS KUBWA ROAD RAILWAY OVERHEAD BRIDGE TO MOTORISTS As promised by the FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, the FCT Administration has completed and opened the entire Murtala Muhammed Expressway (Kubwa Road) to the motoring public. The Minister had pledged last month that his Administration is embarking on massive completion of some critical roads within the Federal Capital City with specific promise to complete the 10-Lanes Kubwa road and Airport Road by December 2016 and first quarter of 2017 respectively. The completion of the 4no. multi-billion-naira Kubwa Road Railway overhead bridge is today history as motorists have started plying the road since last Saturday. Some journalists who were led to assess the job completion spoke to some stakeholders including the FCT Director of Engineering Services Department, Motorists as well as other road users. In his remarks, the FCT Director of Engineering Services Department, Engineer Adamu Alfa Abu said that the Kubwa road is today completed and opened to the public in fulfillment of the promise made by the FCT Minister, which has gone a long way in knocking off traffic congestion. The Director revealed that the FCT Administration has discharged all its obligations by making all outstanding payments to the contractors for the executed and certified work done which has enabled the contractor to return to site and complete the job. According to him, minor works like the installation of streetlights on the bridges as well as the provision of access road to the Red Bricks Estate due to the elevation of the bridges would soon be completed. Some of the drivers and motorists that spoke to journalists commended the FCT Administration for keeping to it’s promise of completing the overhead bridges and bringing succor to the motorists as the knotty traffic logjam often experienced on that axis of the road has since disappeared. One of the Taxi Drivers said their travel time has not only reduced but fuel being wasted in traffic bottlenecks has also reduced thereby increasing their profit. However, other road users at that portion of the road are lamenting that the freed traffic has taken away their businesses and therefore called on the government to do something because they also suffering now as nobody stops to buy their wares again. Maiduguri suicide attacks: Shettima summons markets, motor parks, shopping centers for emergency security meeting Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima has summoned officials of all markets, motor parks, shopping complexes, football fields and other places of public gatherings in Maiduguri, for an emergency security meeting with heads of security agencies and the civilian JTF. The meeting, which is expected to take place on Monday at the Government House in Maiduguri, was in response to twin suicide attacks at the Maiduguri Monday market on Sunday morning which resulted in the death of three, including the two suicide attackers, and 18 persons sustaining various degrees of injuries. Governor Shettima visited the scene of the suicide attacks around the market and was at the accident and emergency ward of the Maiduguri Specialist Hospital where he met each of the survivors out of which 3 were undergoing emergency surgery at the hospital's theater. The suicide attacks were carried out by two women in two close spots, both outside the Maiduguri Monday market before 10am, said the Borno State Commissioner of Police, Damien Chukwu who received Shettima at the scene. The CP said one person died, aside the two suicide bombers, with 18 persons injured. "Tomorrow, we will be having an emergency security meeting involving management of all the markets, motor parks, shopping centers, football fields and other attack prone areas and we will invite the Civilian JTF and of course our security officials so that we cross pollinate ideas and come up with some new measures that will strengthen our existing security structure around markets. We have been taking different steps as the insurgents change their ways, we will all meet and come with measures that will not be made public. This suicide attack is highly unfortunate, I condole and commiserate with the families of the victims. Insha Allah, we will always the best we can to prevent this kind of blood bath" Shettima said. Our correspondent reports that in December, 2014, Governor Kashim Shettima had ordered the barricades of most markets while youth volunteers under the Civilian JTF were posted to man security around markets in Maiduguri. The Boko Haram insurgents had repeatedly targeted the Maiduguri Monday markets using persons who conceal bombs and pretend to be buyers of goods, targeting traders and customers before blowing themselves up. cc; Lalasticlala,mynd44 Source: http://www.trezzyhelm.com/2016/12/maiduguri-twin-suicide-attacksgovernor.html

Below is what TB Joshua's church just shared...... 'HEALED FROM THE DEADLY DISEASE OF HIV/AIDS Mr Julius Adams was diagnosed with the devastating disease of HIV/AIDS Positive-1 in 1995. He had lived with the terrible disease for the next five years. Not wanting to live the rest of his life in misery and even have a shortened life, he decided to seek a permanent solution from God Almighty. He discovered The SCOAN and believed that only God could heal him from this incurable disease. The man of God, Prophet T B Joshua prayed for him and declared him free in Jesus’ name. After some time, Mr Adams decided to go for a confirmatory test to check his healing. To his wonderful surprise, the test results came back negative! He had received his complete healing in Jesus’ name! It has now been 16 good years that Mr Julius Adams has been free from the deadly disease of HIV/AIDS Positive-1. With his medical reports sitting side by side, Mr Adams proudly shows the congregation his before and after results. Glory be to God Almighty for this miraculous healing. As shared by human rights activist and lawyer Inibehe Effiong.... 'I don't know this man from Adam and I do not care the part of the country that he comes from. I am using this platform to celebrate his devotion to his trade and admirable sense of cleanliness. He sells doughnut around the Uyo metropolis in Akwa Ibom State. Please patronize him anywhere you see him. At a time that many Nigerians are seeking white collar jobs, the entrepreneurial spirit of this man deserves commendation. He has by his action given credence to the aphorism that there is dignity in labour. Instead of resorting to crime, he has proudly engaged in this business to cater for himself and his family. Anyone that sees this man should kindly connect him with me. I want to support his business with my widow's mite. If you wish to join me in contributing financially to his business please indicate the amount (no matter how small) in your comment. Thank you.
