I don’t even know that this case is still dragging on. Remember the case between a Nigerian woman, , Michelle Nwakalor, and her French ex-partner, Franck Reyman? The estranged ex met in court today. According to Nwakalor, Franck, is asking for full custody of their son Xavier and also N5million for damages.

It would be recalled that Franck stormed their son’s school, who turned 7 recently and vanished with him after showing the school a court order.

There was a mild drama on Facebook when a lady named Sonia Efe decided to expose a man who goes about impregnating ladies.According to Sonia Efe(one of the victims of the so called player), she thought she had found a great guy when she met Bright Oni only to discover that Oni is a perpetual 'Ronaldinho'.

According to her,Bright Oni apparently was involved in a relationship with her, despite being married and having affairs with several other ladies.

Senator David Mark on Sunday donated relief materials to the displaced people from Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State.He donated rice, indomie, vegetable oil, mattresses, mats, blankets salt and buckets.

The materials were handed over to John Ngbede, the representative of Agatu people, by Dr. Adakole Elijah who represented David Mark at the event.Speaking while handing the materials to Agatu people,Dr. Adakole expressed sympathy with the people over their plight and urged them to look unto God even in the present condition.

He also said he is optimistic both the state and federal governments will address the menace and also alleviate the pains of the displaced Agatu people.Senator Mark also expressed confidence in the ability of the Nasarawa State government to reciprocate the gesture by cooperating with the Benue State government in its move to put an end to the hostility.

The Kano state Police command on Tuesday, announced the arrest of 13 Edo state indigenes in Kano, who were discovered with fake Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) passports.

The Edo indigenes- 4 women and 9 men- were arrested while trying to travel to Libya from Nigeria through illegal routes.

The State police commissioner, Musa Katsina paraded the men and women at the state police command during a visit of governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

A member of the Nigerian, Senator Ben Murray Bruce, has taken delivery a unit of the made-in-Nigeria Kia Soul, one of the locally produced Kia model range.

He took delivery of the vehicle as a way of promoting made-in- Nigeria vehicles.

Ben Bruce also applauded the commitment and determination of Kia in partnering with the federal government to advance the country’s economy.

This came as Kia Motors Nigeria again reinforced its unwavering commitment to the industrialisation of Nigerian economy and its indelible contributions to the success of the auto industry by investing heavily in an assembly plant. Its state of the art technologies are arguably at par with any renowned and international plant in the world.

The plant launched at the wake of the year 2015, prides itself on the production of nine tropicalised and made-for-Nigeria models with their respective trims in the country with over 2500 units rolled out since its launch.

The Chief Commercial Officer, Sandeep Malhotra , alluded to the fact that the success of the plant is premised on Nigerian government’s favourable disposition to empowering local industry. In his submission, he stated that Kia Motors Nigeria remained resolute and committed to the long term investment in the auto industry despite the short term challenges currently faced. The plant has the capacity to produce 27,000 vehicles in a year and there is a provision to increase the production lines which is dependent on the demand.

The sprawling complex which has been built to the high standard of KIA Motors Corporation, follows several months of construction, installation of technologically advanced equipment and the training of its staff. All these have snowballed into KIA first assembly lines that assemble Kia models, such as its best-selling Kia Rio, Cerato, Optima, Sportage and the all-new 2015 Kia Sorento recently unveiled globally amongst others.  With the quality of the vehicles produced locally in the company’s Lagos plant, it’s apparently lucid that there was no compromise on the high standard of the plant and it remains one of the best in the country.

Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Tolu Ogunlesi, has hinted that his new position would not chart the course of others before him.

According to him, his advisory role in the president’s team will be more than just defending the government.

Ogunlesi, who was speaking on Monday, February 22, at the Social Media Week currently going on in Lagos, was quoted by the organizers as saying, “I’m going to disappoint people that think the work of a PA is to trend hashtags and defend the government.”



Ogunlesi’s appointment was announced on Thursday last week amidst mixed reactions.

Some applauded it as well-deserved and others adjudged it as yet another violation of the pre-election promise of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to reduce the number of political appointees.

His appointment brought the total number of the President’s media aides to 4.

However, Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, insisted the current administration has cut down the number of ministers from 42 to 36, and ministries from 29 to 19.

“The latest appointment of Tolu Ogunlesi, what are we talking about?” he questioned reporters on Sunday.

“The fact is that the new media has come to stay and you must get a grip of it. Today’s social media is almost setting the agenda for government in a way the traditional media is not doing, so it will be unwise for a government not to recognise that.”

Two Boko Haram suspects, Audu Umar and Hassan Umar, have been arrested by the Nigerian Army for ‘smuggling themselves’ among the Internally Displaced People (IDPs) that were relocated from Pulka to Gwoza IDPs Camp in Borno state.

The male suspects, who were apprehended on Saturday, are currently undergoing interrogation by the military and intelligence operatives.
