Last week, screen goddess Omotola Jalade Ekeinde called out the Lagos State Government over the erratic electricity bill and taxes sent to her, and now singer J Martins has taken to Instagram to lament how the present administration has left him almost broke.

“I’ve spent almost 9 times my planned budget for 3 months in 2 weeks, with no corresponding increase in income,” the ‘Touchin Body’ singer said, adding, “If I’m expected to act like its absolutely normal and keep mum for fear of being branded anti-Buhari, or a wailer. Hell NO! I won’t.”

For Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, she called PHCN’ One of the biggest frauds in Nigeria’, and said that most homes in the Ikeja area of Lagos have no metre, yet residents are barraged with high bills.

“This Lagos Govt talking about taxes and persecuting people and what rubbish? Are you kidding me?” Jalade-Ekeinde said. “I pay my taxes, buy my own security, generators, fuel, road and many more…are you going to refund me?”

Now, J Martins has joined in the cause, with fans rallying for a protest, just as Ekeinde’s is set to kick off. This leaves us wondering how long it would take before the ticking bomb goes off.

“Ladies & gentlemen of the Federal Republic, complaining about the present situation of things in the country doesn’t make one anti-Buhari/APC or pro-GEJ/PDP.

For all you partisan voltrons, not everyone is into your hypocracy filled pontifications of party ideology, cause in all honesty, you people have none.

Many of us just want light, fuel, friendly business clime, better health, agriculture & educational infrastructures, and a better country, generally.

I’m willing to give the government time to correct things, but the government has to give me a timeline, the wait can not be endless. Kindly give us a timetable. We have seen many that never came to fruition, but just give us schedule to work with please.

This is supposedly Ams bridge at alakuta-life forte link, in Apete Ido local government area, Oyo state. The bridge is on the verge of collapse and I hear pedestrians still ply the bridge. On Friday, the 1st of April 2016, film and television stakeholders and enthusiasts gathered at the Four Points by Sheraton in Victoria Island, Lagos, for the launch of Africa Magic’s new telenovela, ‘Hush‘.

The event which was hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, had in attendance ‎some of Nollywood’s biggest names, including cast members of the new show like Richard Mofe-Damijo, Thelma Okoduwa, Meg Otanwa and Rotimi Adelegan amongst others.

Top music producer, K-Solo has welcomed his first child with Cameroon wife Matop. The baby arrived Saturday, April 3, 2016. The couple got married in 2014. K-Solo already has a child with his ex-wife, Kikelomo Akinkunmi but the marriage packed up few months after it was contracted. Congrats to them.

Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde said the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) is one of the biggest frauds in the country.



The actress added that despite paying her electricity bills and taxes, she buys generator to get electricity and provide security for herself.

She took to Twitter to vent her anger: “One of The biggest fraud in Nigeria is the PHCN. In Ikeja, there’s no meter, No LIGHT EVER and they still bring bills!high bills!#dontpushme!”

President Buhari’s who is currently in Unites States of America (USA) held bilateral talks with the Secretary of State, Senator John Kerry. During the discussion which was held at the Walter Washington Convention Centre on Thursday, March 31, Buhari also spoke about the 2016 budget, where he explained when he would sign the document.

The Easter edition of the monthly Quilox Pool Party tagged ‘March Madness‘ took place on March 27, 2016 at Tickle Bay.

Today, Danagog who signed to Davido’s HKN label in 2014 took to Instagram to apologise for insulting Wizkid’s on-and-off girlfriend Tania Omotoya, and it has us scratching our heads.

“I would like to apologize for my inappropriate behavior,” the singer said, adding, “It was meant to be a freestyle to laugh about, I would never disrespect a woman.”

“I realized my mistake and I would like to seek for Miss @taniaomotayo forgiveness,” the upcoming ‘Hookah’ continued in the remorseful post, “Once again please accept my sincere apologies.”

And then he declared Tania Omotayo his Woman Crush Wednesday.

Well, save for one fan who said he didn’t need to apologise for whatever he said, others, like me, are wondering what exactly he said. A quick check online reveals no trace of the said freestyle, and his latest single, ‘Hookah’, is mildly successful.

And so, the questions is this: If you insulted someone and no one heard it, did you really insult them? Or even need a public apology?

We can’t wait to read Tania Omotayo’s response to this.

President Muhammadu Buhari will leave Abuja for Washington DC tomorrow, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 to join President Barack Obama and about 60 other world leaders and heads of international organisations at the 4th Nuclear Security Summit which opens there on Thursday.

At plenary sessions of the summit which is dedicated to reinforcing international commitment to the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, President Buhari will insist that while Nigeria will continue to sustain that commitment, world powers must respect the right of other countries to the peaceful use of nuclear energy for development purposes.
The President will reaffirm Nigeria’s stance that international efforts to ensure greater security of nuclear materials should maintain a balance between nuclear non-proliferation obligations and the indisputable right of Nigeria and other countries to harness nuclear energy and technology for socio-economic development.




It will be recalled that at a meeting with him in Abuja earlier this month, President Buhari told the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Mr. Yukiya Amano that the Federal Government will welcome greater support from the agency for Nigeria’s aspiration to begin the generation of electricity with nuclear energy.




While in Washington DC for the Nuclear Security Summit, the President and his delegation which includes Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama, the National Security Adviser, Maj.-Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd.) and the Director-General of Nigeria’s Nuclear Regulatory Agency, Prof Lawrence Anikwe Dim, will also hold bilateral meetings with other participating Heads of Government and high-ranking United States Government officials.
President Buhari will depart Washington DC for Abuja on Sunday.

Nigerian singer Eva Alordiah was today involved in a car accident.The accident which happened in the afternoon occurred after a the taxi driver rammed into her car from behind.Read her narration below....

The accident happened at 1:00PM The impact from the car that hit me behind sent my head propelling forward towards my windshield. I was thankfully restrained by my seat belt. The resounding clash of metal and tyres screeching kept on ringing in my head.
I could not believe anything could make such a loud bang let alone that I was in an accident. All of a sudden I realized I was alive. The woman driving in front of me came out of her car.

The man who hit me behind came out of his car too. Then he put his two hands on his head the way Nigerians are known to do when they realize they are in deep shit. I thought of My mother and what she would think of her car and this wreck. Then I remembered my life was even more important than a mere car.
I blinked and the police arrived and I was too glad to see them. I wasn't ready to deal with the man who hit my car, who was now rolling himself on the road beside the wreck, hands on head, hands akimbo, hands back on the head. "Ahh! Aye mi!" He was saying. 'All this one is just film' I thought to myself. I looked away from his dramatization and searched out an officer to speak with. "This is my Mom's car," I said plainly to the officer who presented himself to me. "Please ensure that this man fixes this damage." The Police officer nodded vehemently and said "The Police is your friend, don't worry."


We went to the station. They said we should both write statements. I called my big brother whom I had spoken to when the accident occured. "We are in the Police station in by the traffic light," I said when he picked up the phone. He was with me I'm 12minutes.

It wasn't Until after I had written my statement, Spoken to my Mom and refreshed the events of the afternoon in my mind that I realized the one thing I missed all along. I had been so preoccupied with the thought that someone had hit me and damaged the car that I failed to realize one simple truth...


Here I was worrying about my Mom's car and a man could have lost his life from his wreckless driving. A child would have missed her father. A mother would have been left to wail and grit her teeth. Friends would have been sent in a state of complete shock. It would have been an irreparable loss and nothing to be compared with whatever damage he had caused my Mom's car.

So as we sat in the police station side by side, I realized my folly and feeling ashamed of myself, I turned to him and said, "Are you OK? " he nodded. The look in his eyes was distant. "Is that your car?" I asked. He nodded again.


"What do you do?" "Cab driver." "Is that your cab?," My tone had eased up and fallen in pitch. When he said "Yes" in response, I immediately felt sorry for him. I call my Mom back to tell her the state of things. She is surprisingly cool for someone with a Car OCD. I tell her everything is under control. She says no problem.

I turn to the man who ran into me. "We thank God for Life," I said. He nodded again. Then raised his eyes up to the ceiling. There was a God up there. And my mother might never give me her car again. #ButIAmFine #MyGodPassThem #gratitudeAlways

A bus driver lost control and ran into a Shoe Menders shop at Umoren street, off Udoudoma, while he was being chased by Akwa Ibom State Government Task Force injuring several people in the process. A truck transporting PASTA reportedly lost control while descending the Mbanga hill and crushed the 30 seater Menoua Voyages Coaster.He wrote......

'Before my eyes around the NDjongo area the highway between Nkongsamba and Douala,21 people slept straight,joining their ancestors.Truck transporting PASTA descending the Mbanga hill lost control and crushed the 30 seater Menoua Voyages Coaster.Incident occurred about 3:30am Sunday'.
