bkamm: Pardon Me for quoting you. Not answering to you, as I'm no HR Personnel.
Despite some views/sources against the immediate release of notifications, I can attest that @Jarus has clearly outlined the actual stand of things.
Just adding that final presentation and adoption of GTs is set for today (if not ongoing). Once it's a green, the 'impact' follows (almost) immediately!
Goodluck to all (GTs), little more patience to EH. All will be well in the end! Final Presentation and adoption... someone should please explain that better in nursery manner for me. I'm a slow learner abeg |

Regardless, the information provided is still the same as I stated. I was bringing to light that information with soon shouldn't be shared because it means nothing at this point. Whatever is clever, man. Any source that can't check for one's name is not a sure source, even if the source is true. |

SoNature: Apart from Americans and Europeans who became stinking rich because of their ingenuity, most wealthy people are thieves Even the Americans and Europeans are not exempted. Only celebrity/sports men, become millionaires, and perhaps inventors. Normal worker, whether private or public can't become stinkingly rich in those continents either, except through shady deals as well. No "working" country design her economy to make any employee, trader in buying and selling, or public office holder to be stinkingly rich. They only cheat the system. |

Even if he wants to take side, do you expect him to show it now? Yoruba will say, "ti owo eni o ba ti te Eku ida, a ki bere iku to pa baba eni" which roughly translates to "if you're yet to have a mighty sword, you don't ask for your father's killer" (otherwise you'll be killed by same killer) |

Mikhail1: That method is really unorthodox. But think about it if a group of people are into you how do you tell which one has the most intrest. It doesn't make sense because they could all really like you but some would put more effort. How do you measure effort or intrest. In addition there are a lot of people who aren't on nairaland or whatsapp groups who only go the portal to check for updates. That doesn't mean they want the job more than anyone else who applied. At least I've heard/read about some interviewers favouring the interviewees who smile more during interview. Should "smile" be the yardstick for rating applicants that scored same/similar points? |

Are people saying the use of number of dashboard visit a corruption or changing of names to balance Federal character? If it's changing of names to balance Federal character, that's no corruption, but not fair either. If it's using of number of dashboard visits, then that's somehow logical, or how do you pick about 100 applicants from 200 who had the same scores? Remember, even in football with goal difference, number of goals scored, number of goals conceded, sometimes they still use silly criteria like head to head, fair game: that is, number of yellow/red cards received to determine the table if there's so much tie.
Fun fact: did you know? Nigeria U17 was eliminated in the group stage in Finland 2003, by a "coin toss" after having the same points (4) with Costa Rica... While Senegal in Fifa World Cup 2018, was eliminated by "fair play rule" after having 6 yellow cards against Japan's 4, despite having the same points. |

So why was the name replacement not done vice versa also? Now, we can see the complexity that is involve. Plus other factors, like course of study, even gender ratio, religion, blah blah.... They may just be tired and be like, let's put this into random, shall we? |

This is not logic. This is just absolute nonsense....
And damn this religious talk, must we all pray for what is freely us
This is yurk Between ranking of top performers' scores (which is readily available) from the pool of the "initially, almost successfuls" and their numbers of logins to their dashboards, which is even more faster to get? |

Napolitano2012: APL will be out SOON as the GMD said.. but before then, let me drop an info I learnt about recently from my HR Source.. it has nothing to do with the release but rather with a very weird method applied in correcting the first list..
She claimed that a first list was submitted sometime in October but it was met with disapproval from Top Guns in government causing the initial delays and rancours.. mostly because it was claimed to favour more of the west and south and not enough of the north... According to her, on that day she informed us that the GMD called a very short emergency meeting after the Quiz Event, it was resolved that the list should be modified after which online documentation should follow..
.. she said they (HR DEPARTMENT) consequently proceeded to remove some names from some states in order to balance it by adding some names in order states.. NOW the weird gist is, CAN u imagine the method they applied in choosing the new names that were added... she said that in order to be fast with the selection and to make it fair, they logged into the dashboards of the candidates with high scores that were not selected before, then they checked the number of times each candidate had logged in since the interview and the regularity with which they logged in and from there, they selected over hundreds of new names based purely on how often they frequented their dashboard. when my boss asked her why,, she said since the candidates in question all had the necessary high score, they couldn't pick all, they needed a particular number and so it was down to luck... and for the method, she said the logic was that those who were continually checking their dashboard showed that they were really interested in the job and were eager to know if their status had changed but those who didn't log in oftenly might not care much bout the job..
mehn, I was shocked dat day.. that is how many of us here would be called by luck.. from dat day, I began to believe more in prayers ... people who were not in the original list, see how Fate turned tins around for their favour...... just with a weird reason of logging in to ur dashboard oftenly.. that's it... we wait. Hmmmm, constant checking of dashboard? I guess most "busy guys" won't be checking their dashboards, most especially the "not jobless" on this thread. What a twist turn of fate. Imagine, an applicant checking his dashboard; one in the morning, twice in the afternoon, thrice at night, multiple of 2 on Wednesday. Or your pastor/imam/babalawo prescribed the above for you. Hmmmmm, if Login theory is true, then this thing is more of Grace and Luck. Some may want to be checking the dashboard, but no browser enabled phone, Some are too "busy" Some are too relaxed to the outcome, Some have no data, Some prefer to check their mails often, Some it's this Nairaland thread. Some na "sauce". Only God can help us on this. Anyway, backender gurus in the house, who knows how to check the number of times he has visited his dashboard (most especially from July to end of November)? I just want to check something. |

villainnotmoobb: I salute everyone here. ....So, I got a call from this guy I stayed with when I went to Abuja for the NNPC interview. He asked if they've reached out to anyone, I told him I had no idea. Then, he said there's this school mate (I'm not friends with her) of ours that was just offered an appointment by the NNPC. I told him it must be a contract appointment but the guy objected, he said it's not. He said the girl that got the appointment letter has some connect and all of that. The said girl graduated with a third-class and she did not even apply for the NNPC recruitment. I requested for a screenshot of the appointment letter but he said there's no way the girl would send it to him. He said it's too coded to be made public. According to the info he said he got, some people 'might' still be contacted on merit but I hope and pray so. I only came here to share the info I got, I'm not here to insinuate anything. I'm as hopeful as everyone else, here. That job go help person life! NNPC or not, may the Almighty bless all of us. Ameen. Why does this look like deja vu? Like I've seen someone written this before on this thread, most especially the first paragraph is like word for word, and the whole story is the same, and that was around Sept/Oct. |
