i spoke with a retired major general about gudzmala. and he explain a lot of thing which made me understand why the military have not capture the town. gudzmala was capture twice the first one the military overpower the terriost thinking the terroist are dead and have run to other location only for the terrosit to take the military unaware from all location killing over 150 solider. the second was liberated but due to some thing the town was caputure again, general ayeni let a team of strike force and some sf from the nigeria 199 sf, 123sf , 402sf battlion but was cverpowered because of no air support so the military have being trieding to capture gudzamala, the retired military general i spoke with said if they is a mistake in military mission planning the whole mission is rubbish because your enemies are were of your movement and the are master of the terrain.

they have being heavy airstrike on iswap command. the nigeria airforce make a lot of good strike.i heard another iswap commander killed in that strike.

How about letting them break their will and force against Damasak to achieve little or nothing at all. If the military is very confident about being able to hold Damasak, they can keep on allowing ISWAP deploy their strength capabilities for the military to wreck so that subsequent offensive will be sort of less challenging. But only if they are sure they can hold the town because the terrorists will be learning everything they can from each of the attacks. Things air support response time, intensity of military resistance and so on. By now, they might have known the strongest part of the town and the weakest. They might have known the capability of the garrison unit and might be working on ways to counter it...... It will be wise if the military is thinking too. For the terrorists to have attacked three times within four days, then they have a base very close to the town from which they launch from. I doubt they've been coming from hundreds of kilometers each time they are attacking. Finding out where they are operating from and destroying it should be the duty of the airforce.
I expect that some of NAF's ISR aircrafts have capability to listen to phone conversations, that should be monitored around the town to know where the commanders are coordinating the attacks from and so on.

MALE UAVs or aircrafts hovering at very high altitude can take out most of the anti-air and heavy support vehicles with precision missiles. The army can then slowly advance into the town from different locations over a duration of days/weeks with constant air support.
Taking it shouldn't be much of a problem, the real problem is holding it.
