PoliticsRe: President Buhari Can Apologize by josefeneche(op): 9:56am On Mar 29, 2016
DropShot:
OK Na.

PMB has apologized where he needs to, which is the fuel crisis. Apart from that, no other area he needs to apologize for.
Apologizing should be one step, acting accordingly should be another. There's too many things going on right now in the country & the President really isn't doing a lot to address these issues..
PoliticsPresident Buhari Can Apologize by josefeneche(op): 9:37am On Mar 29, 2016
"Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the judgment that something else’s more important than fear." – Ambrose Redmon

The Buhari-led All Progressive Congress (APC) government in Nigeria has its job well cut out, the only and major problem is that perhaps it does not know that.

Mr. Buhari had made an attempt for the office of the president three consecutive times, and won on the fourth try. Not many gave him and his APC led coalition a chance.

However, he won, and yes he won on the following premise-very strong public approval, an electorate who had been sold the “CHANGE MANTRA” and a reluctant sitting President who relinquished power without a whim.

Now with power firmly in his hands, every passing day brings reality home that the continuous pursuit for power may have left the Daura born General with very little in terms of what he wants to achieve. The truth remains that Mr. Buhari loves his country, and is patriotic about the change he wants to bring to the Nigerian people, state and polity.

Sadly, drawing the lines, WDnews recalls the delay in appointing ministers, the final appointment, and the poor quality of the appointees in discharging their duties several months after, is an indictment. On the same line is the fact that months after with the nation reeling under economic hardship there is no economic blueprint regarding where the nation is headed.

It is no news that the Nigerian populace has been told to endure an excruciating fuel crisis, the electricity sector only last week brought out the truth in the president when he said, “We are at loss, over what to do with the electricity sector.”

This brings to mind the need for caution when promissory notes are issued by politicians, from the N5000 for unemployed, to the free meal for children, a lot seems to be crumbling for the sleeping giant of Africa.

WDNews believes it is time for some “owning-up”. Just because your job sits at the top of an organization chart, there’s a reality to how groups work that is often a surprise to people.” We see that Mr. President is getting to realize that. “In all leadership roles, there is an informal dependence on other people that is in many ways much more important and more powerful than the power or the authority that is implied by an organization chart that puts your job at the top.”

For our President it should now be about responsibility not power. Too many leaders get caught up in thinking about power rather than their responsibility to those they lead.

Along with getting the most out of subordinates, though, a leader does have to get the group focused, even if specific goals are unclear. Mr. Buhari “You have to show that you know the way, even if you have no idea what to do.”

Indeed, corruption is being fought, and it is a positive development for a nation with so many failures but largely succeeds in corrupt practices. But other sectors of the economy is on a fretful, soaring food prices and crumbling industries are not helping matters.

Strategy and specifics

“A group needs a strategy, and it needs a framework.” Fighting corruption is not enough, someone needs to take responsibility. Nigerians want a push in the right direction; they want this government to bring a discipline and a focus that’s extremely valuable.

The President’s aides and foot soldiers have a lot to do with how the current Nigeria acts, but they have very little to do with how it thinks or how it feels. To do that, they all, including the president have got to pull Nigeria along, and that takes communication — a lot of communication, not the propaganda that got the power.

Mr. Buhari needs to explain his vision with specifics, rather than buzzwords, it’s no good talking about corruption and letting Nigerians know about the rot, but it is becoming a “sing-song no one wants to dance”

Earning trust

Mr. Buhari has earned the trust of Nigerians, trust and respect is crucial in a nation such as this, and while he may be loosing very little of it, the fact remains that currently, Nigerians are not inspired, not committed and not motivated. It’s our President’s job to instill confidence in us.

We need to stop the sycophants. “When you’re at the top, people don’t always tell you what you need to hear. Indeed, that’s probably the single biggest blind spot or difficulty.”

WDNews however thinks maybe, the President is not asking the right questions, because that can help a leader more than dictating policy, such as, “Why do we do it that way?”

Invite open criticism

“You have to invite open criticism.” The current trend is that all that criticize the President is a ‘wailer’. Truth is that “You have to be willing to invite open criticism.” That can be done by using such techniques as town hall meetings, confidential surveys or even simply walking around and talking with Nigerians in Abuja for example.

It’s not about you

Mr. Buhari, it is not about you, it’s about us. It’s about a relationship between you and them. That’s why a few people warned you that you were about to take on the most difficult job on the planet.

Mr. Buhari, Nigerians voted you, and in nine months, it has been more turmoil than happiness for them. We know it can be better, so kindly apologize and start again because you have some three more years and you can still bring that CHANGE!

PoliticsINEC: Let This System Die By Solomon Okocha by josefeneche(op): 4:34pm On Mar 23, 2016
The Rivers State Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Aniedi Ikoiwak, the man vested with the power by INEC to superintend over the just past re-run elections in the state, tried effortlessly to defend his employer on the catastrophe ridden exercise.

In all honesty, I am completely disappointed with the type of elections that we have always had in Nigeria since the restoration of democracy in 1999. It is quite unfortunate that such a simple social norm has been miserably taken to the edge of extremism, all because of parochial politics. I am greatly saddened that the Federal Government of Nigeria, in this 21st century, cannot peacefully conduct an election in just one state of the country. When are we going to get to rocket science, if we keep flopping our electoral process in the most barbaric manner? Humiliating, I must say.

During a live interview on Channels TV, Ikoiwak asserted that the whole problem started when some Party Agents insisted on result sheets that were counter-signed by INEC. According to them, all other forms without the aforementioned isignia are unacceptable. The REC said he tried to no avail to convince them that the error was not intentional: the political loyalists were too enveloped in doubt and enraged with furry to accept any contrary view. Is this not enough reason to cancel the entire election and start all over again? Why continue elections under such a volatile circumstance?

Then came the violence; as the arguments heated up, might clashed against might and the sound of AK47s rattled the already tense atmosphere. The unlucky ones died immediately from bullet wounds, while the rest scampered to safety. Alas! A war has been ignited by the same government that ought to keep the peace. The whole noise about millions and millions of police officers being transferred to Rivers State was buried in sound of erratic violence. Rivers State is at war: Nigeria is in distress.

Make no mistakes about it. This war is not really between APC or PDP. No. It is a battle between an outdated order struggling to perpetually dominate this new age. Politicians were only responding to the Supreme Court’s recent verdict on the fraud and violence that engrossed the 2015 general elections in Rivers State: disobey INEC, disregard the card reader, win elections by any means possible, and then with your vast array of highly paid lawyers, you are set to defeat your opponent in court on the grounds of flimsy technicalities.

An end to this mess in our electoral system cannot come by if we do not wholly embrace the many wonders of technology. There are cheap technologies everywhere that can save our beloved country from the shame of sham elections. The Government must decide to go fully digital in terms of security and voting. With technology, anyone who commits electoral fraud or perpetrates violence during elections, is sure to land in jail, and in the end, the people, the very ones who give power to democracy will not be disenfranchised. INEC, It is time to let this ineffectual system die.

PoliticsAPC Reports Fayose To NASS, International Community by josefeneche(op): 2:35pm On Mar 23, 2016
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has written to the National Assembly calling the attention of the lawmakers to what it described as avalanche of propaganda by Governor Ayodele Fayose in the media to mislead them and the public about crises in the state.

In a petition made available to Independent in Ado-Ekiti by Ayodele Paul Omotoso, the state secretary of the party, to Dr. Bukola Saraki, Senate President; Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of the House of Representatives; and copied to the Senate Leader, Senate Majority Whip, Senate Minority Leader, the Embassy of the United States of America, the British Embassy and Delegation of the European Union, the party said its action became imperative in the face of “ceaseless lies and propaganda by the governor on Ekiti crisis to mislead the people to extract public sympathy and paint APC government in bad light”.

Omotoso specifically cited the governor’s allegation that APC instigated the Department of State Service (DSS) to arrest Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers preparatory to the impeachment of the governor.
He said that the governor’s allegation that DSS offered PDP lawmakers $1 million to impeach him was a calculated attempt to set Nigerians against the APC and paint DSS in bad light.

Attached to the letter were photographs of alleged physical injuries on APC members and destruction of their property, as well as various petitions to security agencies and the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) drawing the attention of the National Assembly to the governor’s alleged acts of brutality against the opposition for which the security agencies allegedly had no answer.
Accusing Fayose of habitually stoking violence to cause crisis in the state, the party called the attention of the lawmakers to the report of the DSS panel set up by former President Olusegun Obasanjo to probe political murders in Ekiti State between 2004 and 2006, which “conclusively established that Governor Fayose had zero tolerance for the opposition.”

Omotoso also alleged that during the period, the governor, as confirmed by the security panel report, had a terror gang composed of policemen and thugs that the security report “established to have links with political murders reported in the state during the period”.
He noted that after the indicted police officers were transferred from the state as recommended in Obasanjo’s security report, Fayose made special request for their redeployment to the state after he was sworn in on October 16, 2014, alleging that the same officers were involved in the post-election attacks on the opposition, including the 19 APC lawmakers, during the skirmish at the House of Assembly last year.

Omotoso listed alleged instances of the governor’s breach of peace through violence and disregard to the Constitution, citing the invasion of the court to disrupt delivery of ruling by Justice Segun Ogunyemi on his perjury case, assault on Justice John Ademola Adeyeye by tearing his suit and forceful entry into the Chief Judge’s office to tear court’s records while the Chief Judge’s secretary was mercilessly beaten up.

Others, he said, include several gun attacks on the APC secretariat at Ajilosun, impeachment of APC Speaker by seven PDP members and “election” of a new PDP Speaker by six PDP members an the Assembly of 26 members, prevention of 19 APC members from sitting by using thugs to block the roads leading to the Assembly and various acts of violence against the opposition that the governor would manipulate in the media to implicate the opposition.

Omotoso cited the murder of Omolafe Aderiye, the drivers’ union leader, in which APC members were implicated and put in jail, saying: “Governor Fayose orchestrated false accusation against APC members over alleged murder of the drivers’ union leader, the late Omolafe Aderiye, by using a stooge to lie against APC members.

“Later, this governor’s principal witness in the case, who is also the late Aderiye’s personal assistant, Gbolahan Okeowo, recanted by swearing to another affidavit that Fayose’s Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Ajayi Owoseni, and the governor’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, tore his first witness statement and forcibly gave him another written witness statement prepared by the duo to implicate the four men.

“The four APC members are still in jail as we write while this witness has since fled the state when his life was under threat by the governor’s men.”

Omotoso regretted that, in spite of the deluge of petitions to the security agencies on the governor’s alleged brutality and flagrant disregard to the rule of law, the party’s complaints have not been addressed by the appropriate authorities.

“We have not seen anything to suggest that our complaints are being addressed, and we want to believe that this inaction by these agencies has further emboldened the governor to be more daring, boundless, seemingly untouchable and above the law,” he said.

Politics#budgetofcorruption – #budgetofyams – #budgetofchange By Nkechi Nwosu by josefeneche(op): 2:51pm On Feb 10, 2016
On Tuesday December 22, 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari walked into a joint session of the National Assembly and presented the first annual budget proposal of his administration, ambitiously tagged: “The Budget of Change”.

After highlighting the economic challenges that confronted the country due to the fall in oil prices, the president vowed the budget would cut waste from government spending and its funds would only be used for public good.

As a reminder, a budget is a blueprint of the leader’s or party’s vision, a document which encapsulates their ideology and economic prudence.

President Muhammadu Buhari promised CHANGE in the days and months leading to the last presidential elections. For a country supposedly in comatose, stagnated in misery and miasma, CHANGE was the sing song. At a point in the journey to the presidential elections, Buhari, to and for Nigeria, became much more than the promise of CHANGE. He became the CHANGE that the majority of Nigerians were seeking.

His party and handlers kept propagating the CHANGE sermon repeatedly and consistently. Eventually, Nigerians believed it hook, line and sinker. In the face of historical facts, Buhari became a man of integrity! Buhari became a man of competence! Buhari became incorruptible!

After sixteen years of trial, Buhari became the President of Nigeria. Contesting for an office for sixteen years consecutively would have meant an adequate preparation and deep grasp of the issues involved. The advantage of ruling the same country once before the second coming was also expected to be helpful. He was expected to know exactly what to do. Buhari was supposed to be the man with a plan; the man with the solution; the savior to salvage and save; the messiah to mesmerize, untie the shackles and set Nigeria free on the path to freedom and realization of its potentials.

But on this second coming, the day he began to deny himself and what he promised Nigerians during his campaign, it was crystal clear that he had no plans for Nigeria. It was clear he had no solutions. It was clear that he is actually the same bunch of old politicians. At that time, there was no proof. But now he has provided a brand new proof to Nigerians and for the world to behold.

And that proof is his Budget for the Year 2016! Firstly, for an administration fighting seriously against corruption, the budget presented shows an irresponsible allocation of figures to different ministries and offices.

With unemployment increasing daily and the dwindling Nigerian economy due to a fall in oil prices, the 2016 budget reflects a pathetic misplacement of priorities.

Then the political actors early this year released a story on the budget going missing. Funny isn’t it…. Then suddenly the budget is found….. what a super story.

With Vice President Osinbajo and multi-million naira books, the cables, the lightnings and the billions, Buhari’s Guest House and the N400million face-lift. Is it the exotic cars and their outrageous maintenance or that Buhari wants N1.4billion houseboats for officers while the Northeast burns, then Fashola and his N140million naira for a single borehole, na wa o…… then the repetition galore with same item, different prices…… hilarious.

N1.75 billion for President Muhammadu Buhari’s feeding in 2016 is a direct attack on collective commonsense of Nigeria and a stark contrast to his promised Change.
Is it not fraud for Buhari to deceive Nigeria by publicly drinking N10 Milo sachet (tea) during the Presidential election campaign? Even if Buhari is feeding Sharks, Whales and Buffaloes in Aso Rock, N1.75billion is too much for one man, when millions of Nigerians are finding it difficult to feed even once a day. To imagine that Former President Goodluck Jonathan was almost roasted for budgeting N1billion in 2011 and reducing it even to N717.3m in 2013, N542m in 2014 and N530million in 2015, but Nigerians are silent on these reckless squandering by Dr Buhari.

N89.1 million for kitchen equipment? Those kitchen equipment must be made or ornamented with precious stones. Then Buhari wants N30.8 million to pay rent for Aso Rock? Haba fa. Biko who is the landlord and agent? N795 million for website update, N1.6 billion for construction of ministers duplex, N1.2 billion for office furniture and N531 million for attendance of “statutory meetings” for our dear minister, Fashola.

As if the bewildering allocations are not enough, after the return of the budget, figures are manipulated by who? But no answers. In their routine blame game tactics, the Minister for Health says the budget was doctored by “rats”.

From #BudgetOfChange to #BudgetOfYams and now #BudgetOfCorruption. And I ask, which way Nigeria?

How To Be A Clueless President.
By Femi Aribisala

Instead of giving Nigerians the change you championed, give them excuses. Blame Goodluck Jonathan for everything.
In six years of Goodluck Jonathan’s presidency, the opposition told us again and again the man was “clueless.” It made sure the tag stuck to him like glue. But now we have a new sheriff in town, with the APC claiming to be better at everything than the PDP. While that might still be subject to debate, there is overwhelming evidence that in the cluelessness department, the PDP is certainly no match for the APC.
Here is a compendium from the APC textbook of cluelessness, provided within barely one year in office. If you want to know how to be a clueless president, this is the APC blueprint.
Blame Game
Instead of giving Nigerians the change you championed, give them excuses. Blame Goodluck Jonathan for everything, including the harmattan. Whenever you make a blunder, pass the buck to the former president. If there is petrol shortage, blame it on Goodluck Jonathan. If the budget is dead on arrival, blame it on Goodluck Jonathan.
In the middle of an economic crisis, promise to provide Nigerians with free education; free meals daily for millions of Nigerian public school-children; free tertiary education; free health-care and free houses. Facing a drastic drop in Nigeria’s income, declare you will be giving grants of N1.5 trillion a year to Nigeria’s poor. When you fail to deliver on any on these highfalutin promises, blame it quickly on Goodluck Jonathan.
Blunders
Forget the name of your vice-presidential running-mate. Call him Yemi Osunbade instead of Yemi Osinbajo. Tell President Obama the name of your political party is the All Nigeria’s Peoples’ Congress when it is All Progressives Congress. Call your party on CNN the All Progressives Confidence.
Tell Al Jazeera INEC means Independent Nigerian Electoral Commission instead of Independent National Electoral Commission. Even though West Germany ceased to exist in 1999 and the current German president is Joachim Gauck, refer to German Chancellor, Angela Merkel as “President Michelle of West Germany.”
Destroy INEC by turning it into a National Commission for Inconclusive Elections. Go to the United Nations and give a rousing speech about fighting Boko Haram, then fail to attend the crucial meeting on Boko Haram at the same U.N. session. Tell the Americans the Chibok girls were abducted from their “hotels” instead of their “hostels.”
Tell Nigerians there is nothing like petroleum subsidy. Then as president, announce the removal of the non-existent petroleum subsidy. Claim Jonathan diverted $700 million from the $1.1 billion Chinese loan for the Lagos/Kano rail project when only $400 million was earmarked for Lagos/Kano rail. Announce that foreign exchange can now be paid into domiciliary accounts without specifying if depositors will be allowed to withdraw them.
Anti-corruption rigmarole
Declare that you will kill corruption in Nigeria while being surrounded and bankrolled by corrupt politicians. Then invite those with corruption allegations hanging over their heads into your cabinet. Maintain: “Jonathan’s ministers stole 150 billion dollars.” But fail to prosecute them for stealing $150 billion. Tell Nigerians $2.1 billion was stolen by the PDP through Dasukigate, but charge people to court for stealing no more than $100 million.
Believe that trying members of the PDP for corruption on the pages of newspapers amounts to waging a serious war on corruption and is a substitute for national economic policy. Say: “We cannot build an economy where corruption is the working capital.” Then declare to no effect that recovered stolen monies will be used to revamp the national economy.
Insist Abacha never stole any money, and then probe the PDP for the mismanagement of the non-existent Abacha loot recovered from abroad. Fail to recognise that with the official exchange-rate at N198 to $1, while the parallel market rate is N305 to $1, you have created the widest parallel market margin ever recorded in Nigeria’s history and laid the foundation for widespread corruption in the banks.
Accuse the opposition of using public funds to finance its election campaign, but fail to disclose where you got the money to finance your own very expensive election campaign. Claim to be so cash-strapped, you had to borrow N27.5 million to pay for the presidential nomination papers of your party; then state in your assets declaration that you have N30 million in your bank account. Commend INEC for running the ostensibly free and fair election that brought you to power; then challenge in court every election conducted by the same INEC that your party lost.
Contradictions
Claim you inherited an empty treasury in spite of the over $30 billion left in our foreign reserves. Say you met no money in the treasury, then spend N2.2 billion on a four-day junket to the U.S. with no agenda and with nothing achieved.
Say: the federal government of Nigeria is: “the biggest Boko Haram.” Then become the head of the federal government of Nigeria. Declare grandiloquently: “I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody.” Then say: “The constituents (that) gave me 97% cannot in all honesty be treated on some issues with constituencies that gave me 5%.” Say you belong to everybody but ensure that your personal aides are virtually all Northerners.
Say: “I bear no ill will against anyone on past events. Nobody should fear anything from me. We are not after anyone.” “There will be no paying off old scores. The past is prologue.” Then send EFCC dogs after Elder Godsday Erubebe.
Say: “I pledge myself and the government to the rule of law, in which none shall be so above the law that they are not subject to its dictates, and none shall be so below it that they are not availed of its protection.” Then seek to replace the rule of law with the rule of fear. Go on national television and tell Nigerians you will not be obeying the courts in the cases of Dasuki and Kanu. Interfere in the judicial process by publicly declaring your enemies guilty without trial.
Tell Christiane Amanpour on CNN that you will defeat Boko Haram within two months if elected. Then say you did not say so. Declare that you will defeat Boko Haram by the end of December 2015, then say you only meant to defeat it “technically” after it unleashes mayhem on Maiduguri while you were busy celebrating its fictional defeat.
Say: “Boko Haram is a typical example of small fires causing large fires. An eccentric and unorthodox preacher with a tiny following was given posthumous fame and following by his extra judicial murder at the hands of the police.” Then send troops to massacre hundreds of Shi’ites in Zaria. Involve Nigeria in a Middle Eastern regional struggle between Saudi Arabia and Iran by joining the Saudi led anti-terrorist coalition. Open the door for wider terrorist attacks on Nigeria by killing Shi’ites in the North while the Saudis execute Shi’ite mullahs and prisoners in Saudi Arabia.
Prosecute avoidable wars on several home-fronts: against Boko Haramites in the North-east; Shi’ites in the North-west; Biafrans in the South-east; and Niger Deltans in the South-South.
Nonsensical policies
Grind the country to a halt by making yourself Sole Administrator of Nigeria for six months. Squander your vital first 100 days in office doing absolutely nothing; while receiving cheers as “Baba Go-Slow.” Present “body language” as a substitute for policy. Ensure that over N5 trillion is wiped off the Nigerian Stock Exchange within six months of your coming to office.
Promise: “I will stabilise global oil price.” Then watch as the oil price tumbles from $50 to $28 within eight months of your presidency. Also ball-watch as the naira tumbles to a record-breaking N305 to one dollar.
Declare when the country is broke: “I will provide one meal a day for children in public primary schools.” “I will make direct cash transfer of 5,000 naira to the 25 million poorest and most vulnerable citizens.” Propose through your Minister of Science Fiction to create 3.4 million jobs in Nigeria in 2016 through the production of pencils. Plan to have 365 cultural festivals 365 days a year under your Ministry of Culture.
Shout “chanji, chanji” while a large chunk of your party-members are turncoats from the same PDP that ruled the country for the last 16 years. Refer to ministers as noisemakers then establish a Cabinet of ministers. Take six months to choose a cabinet then come out with old cargoes. Tell Nigerians you delayed appointing ministers because you were looking for saints and angels, then appoint many known devils. Say: “The corrupt will not be appointed into my administration.” Then appoint those with corruption allegations hanging over their heads.
Delight in putting square pegs in round holes. Make Kayode Fayemi, who has a Ph.D. in War Studies, Minister for Solid Minerals instead of Minister of Foreign Affairs. Make Professor Anthony Anwukah, a professor of Education and a former vice-chancellor a Junior Minister to a journalist, Adamu Adamu, in the Ministry of Education. Make Solomon Dalong, a former Assistant Inspector of Prisons the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports. Make Muhammadu Bello, who headed the National Hajj Commission for eight years, FCT Minister.
Budgeting
Propose a N6 trillion budget in 2016 for a nation that failed to meet revenue estimates of N4 trillion in 2015. Predicate this on borrowing N2.2 trillion, which requires N1.2 billion daily to service.
Benchmark your budget on the price of oil being $38 in 2016, making it dead on arrival with the oil price falling to $28 within a fortnight of your budget presentation. Fail to anticipate that, once sanctions against Iran are lifted, the oil price will go further down as Iranian oil is added to the international oil glut. Allocate N40 billion to look for oil in the North East in the middle of an oil glut when Nigeria needs to diversify from oil.
Within the framework of a drastic cut in Nigeria’s income, raise the budget for Aso Rock from N6.6 billion in 2015 to N18 billion in 2016. Earmark N3.6 billion for the purchase of several BMW saloon cars! Budget N1.75 billion for feeding in Aso Rock in 2016 when Jonathan only budgeted N530 million in 2015. Allocate only N29 billion to the Ministry of Agriculture, while earmarking N39 billion for the Ministry of Information and Culture.
Present the budget to the National Assembly without first scrutinising it. Present the budget with fanfare, then send someone to steal it from the National Assembly. Present the budget, then withdraw it after reading it. Remember this: when the budget fails, blame it on Goodluck Jonathan!
PoliticsThe Return Of The 2016 By Favour Afolabi by josefeneche(op): 2:04pm On Jan 13, 2016
There is a script at work here and I wrote about It prior to the new year:

1. Budget is Presented to NASS with Buhari, and APC overlords seeing the opportunity to repay all those that funded it’s campaign – a Bazaar Budget in which Car Tyres cost Millions – this was supposed to be a feeding frenzy – so APC picks a few narratives like “the biggest budget for education” to bamboozle people from reading the individual items – believing it still has the goodwill of those that voted it in earlier in the year who won’t bother to read the details – this was supposed to be passed with little debate from the Senate – that was the planned deal.

2. Then Yawa gasses – @budgit boys leaks the 1,800 pages in PDF to the Internet – the plan don scatter – It becomes an embarrassment to Buhari as typified by #BudgetOfYams controversy all over the nation – with ridiculous figures that will give so many people heart attacks – he quickly summons a Media Chat to douse the tension – and forbids the journalists not to mention the subject (and they didn’t – prove me wrong if you have contrary info)

3. The Presidency quickly moves to blackmail the Senate to return the Budget with only some of the Principal Officers being aware of this led by Saraki – and they comply, the info leaks to the public; and Saraki tweets “we’ll discuss the budget when we return in Janury” – the holiday comes and the tension dies down

4. Saraki, who knows “Buhari wants to jail him” needs to do anything to please him; so he sends back the document while Senate is on Holidays expecting the document will be back before they resume

5. That doesn’t happen leading to the expectation that the budget would be debated yesterday

6. Well, the plan is simple – The document will be returned as a modified copy en route Saraki, still via the backdoor – the numbers would have been tampered with – and it would be said “the Budget is now found; the information communicated earlier is false”

7. But, there is greater danger ahead and larger controversies persist – the doc is 1,800 pages long – how you get to change most of the numbers in the individual items and still be able to tally with MDAS subtotals is where the real WAEC will be still having to come to a total of N6trn that has been publicly announced!

8. This explains why the Senate refused all thru after the presentation to release the document to the public despite calls from so many people that they should do so; and the reason the Presidency didn’t do so as well.

9. Despite the #BudgetOfYams trending for days, the Presidency or Senate REFUSED to deny or respond to any of the crazy budget line items – showing their joint complicity in a grand plan to deceive Nigerians

10. Kudos must go to @budgit guys that published the 1,800 pages document – not even any of the Newspapers or TV Houses were able to do this; no wonder APC Leaders were pushing for a ban on Social Media Freedoms

In conclusion, Nigerians should prepare for more “Guinness Book of Records embarrassments” as this one, that’s all you get from a government that even finds it difficult to hold weekly FEC meetings to do the real business of governance but invests 20 hours every day trying to destroy PDP to create a #OnePartyState!
