He should keep.mute. Hit list my ass. It's becoming apparent people don't even verify and care to know, if the news they are sharing is fake or from a verified source, all they do is just share it.
It's pretty obvious the parents have been playing this song from when the baby was born, and as a result the baby is now use to the song more than those nursery rhymes.
There are some ladies who are victims of sexual violence and choose not to abort the resultant pregnancies.
There are also some ladies who got thoroughly deceived by the men who promised them heaven and earth. Some even got married but the men abandoned them.
Reno wasn't talking about the bolded. He was talking about those who engaged in premarital sex.
I'm sure you know there are a whole lot of single mums out there desperately looking for who to help them take care of their kids.
PharmaGirl: Your opinion Reno. If that's what you believe, then its fine.
But remember, they didn't impregnate themselves.
So while you're giving reasons on why you won't help 'deliberate single moms', don't you think it'd be nice if you also preached to the men who impregnated them?
Tell them to carry their cross honorably. Tell them to provide for their kids so their kids' moms will stop running to your TL, begging for money.
like they didn't know how to get rid of the pregnancy when they discovered they were pregnant?
naptu2: This is one of those songs from my childhood. I feel like I've known this song my entire life. It is one o9f the most popular songs that has ever been made. It has been covered uncountable times, it has been used in very many movies and adverts, it has become the nickname of very many people and everybody knows this song.
it won't hold water. Sooner or later those who started it will back out of the protest (segalinks) already did and those who remain will now have to face the wrath of APC.
Don't forget this government is smart. They're watching and observing. That feminist coalition or whatever they call themselves should have kept mute.
I even wonder if this LGBT whatever aren't Nigerians. Like why did they even mention them specifically.
It's safe to say the funding they're getting from abroad are from sympathizers/supporters of the LGBTQ league.
Well I'll want to ask if this protest had happened during GEJ tenure if she would have sent all those stuff, considering the fact that her husband was close to that particular government at that time.
In Nigeria, there are two class of people I don't trust and I will never trust, they're politicians and the clergy. (Pastors and Imams).
naptu2: I don't think it's about being cool. I think that's also about virtue.
The same way that some people name their kids after lions or leopards, to depict that they are as strong as those animals, so also do people name their children after other humans, especially people that are dead, with the hope that the child will imbibe the virtue of the person that they are named after.
So people name their children Solomon, with the hope that the child will be as wise as King Solomon, etc.
Athanasius was a bishop of Alexandria in Egypt and some people thought that he was wise. That might be the reason that they name their children after him.
wow. Didn't even know this. I've had this cocky expression whenever anyone tell me his name is Athanasius or even Donatus.
The ones I usually smirk at are the ones who tell me "my name is Prosper". I usually say within me like your parents took one good look at you and knew you're are failure then named you Prosper just to massage their ego and make them feel better about birthing a failure
This things with names is something else. Hehehehe.
crackhaus: Some people do this, plan/list names they intend to give their unborn child(ren). Even I have been guilty of this, BUT after a certain experience, I now find that this method can be a wee bit contrived (for lack of a better word).
Personally, I now find it fascinating when children are given names that encompass the circumstances surrounding their birth – could be an experience during the pregnancy, or even an experience right there in the labor ward.
Some parents also choose names that are futuristic in expression, in the sense that they believe something about the child that will/may become that child's reality much later on – this also works.
Whatever method people choose anyway, the basic idea is to always know the meaning, origins, and history behind a name (assuming you don't want to give one that is based on a person experience) I have noticed that a lot of people simply pick names that sound posh/hip/modernwithout having a deeper understanding of their meanings.
I believe there's absolutely nothing cool about naming a child Artanacious or Donatus.
CountryTireMan: FG should as a matter of urgency go through all the cases handled by SARS as far back as 2010, lot’s of innocent people being used to make devilish money, what’s the difference between this bastard SARS and ritualists?? No difference.... If your papa na SARS he no go die better dieeeeee
Hope you read where it was said that SARS don't keep record of their cases?
So I wonder how it will be possible for the government to look into it.
Though I believe if the FG really wants to placate Nigerians and call a spade, a spade, a panel should be set up to look into every case of SARS brutality.
Let the FG tell every aggrieved and concerned Nigerian who have felt the horse whip of SARS to make their claim there and if any of those God forsaken SARS officers are found guilty, Kirikiri should welcome them with open arms.
