Whoever wrote this should stop deceiving himself or herself. Nigerians and Nigerians in diaspora along with other well meaning citizens of other country brought SARS down, not these women.
Well I must say she's not suppose to say "Nigeria is a jungle". Doesn't tell well of her holding a national honour from the country she called a jungle.
However we must commend her for being vociferous about the brutality and mass stupidity of some member of SARS and the Nigeria Police.
Well she said she isn't vain but she actually sounded vain by giving her husband permission to leave her. Like he got married to her face or what exactly
dude honestly I believe the Federal Government need to set up an agency that should interview couples who want to get married.
If the couple aren't mentally fit, they shouldn't think or reason anything about marriage.
I tell you the amount of idiots (I cancelled that word because I've come to know the average Nigerian isn't really an idiot, he or she is smart in a dubious, like very dubious kind of way) ignorance flying allover the Nigerian airspace is choking.
Considering the messed up state of the economy, unreliability of humans and other factors, this is clearly a huge gamble.
need I say parents who are not readily well to do are the ones who have this abysmal mindset?
Go to areas that are densely populated by the so called masses and see how they breed like pigs. It's as if they're gambling and hoping if they have 3 to 6 or 7 kids, one of them will make it big and take care of them.
What I find irritating with this very foolish mindset is, they fail to even get it that the kids who they can't even afford to take care of, will make it in life and take care of them. Ask them why they're so sure about this and their stupid reply is: "if I no born am shey him go make am".
It's now becoming a standard fact that a whole lot of Nigerians aren't fit to be called parents. This people think putting food on the table and clothes on the back of a child is what parenting is all about.
Invest heavily in diverse investment portfolios, own several income generating assets and have a house of your own.
At this point, you won't give a fuçk about whatever your child(ren) chooses to do when you are old.
True that. The bolded is one very big mistake many Nigerian parents make. They readily have this muddled up mentality that having children who will take care of them when they're old is the way to go.
naptu2: I'm trying to restrain myself right now, but maybe I'll go crazy tonight.
I usually don't discuss my favourite rock songs because my taste is very ecclectic and I have had many favourites over many decades (anything from Paperback Writer to Paint It Black to Born In The USA to Smells Like Teen Spirit) and it can get very difficult.
I created a playlist on Windows Media Player in 2005 and I decided to only add my favourite rock songs and there were over a thousand songs by the time that I had finished.
not bad. Not bad at all. It's deep. Nice lyrics. Reminds me of The Beetles Hey Jude. Hey Jude and Hey Joe kinda rhymes then the lyrics reminds me of The Temptations Papa Was A Rolling Stone.
SegFault: Toor, start listening to 70's and 60's rock, start with Stairway to Heaven. I'll listen to it later, na osho free internet I dey use, YouTube no fit work on top am.
I tried, it all seem too old. To me aside the mad guitar skill on display, lyrics go along way. Don't think 70's and 60's rock have that.
Now, the real reason that I love this song (and the reason that I played it every weekend 1996-2000) is not because of Michael Jackson, rather it’s because of Guns N Roses guitarist Slash.
Slash played the riff and the guitar solo on this song and the guitar solo is too sweet. It is absolutely wonderful. That’s the reason that I love this song.
Several people have featured on Michael Jackson’s songs, but (apart from Paul McCartney), they are usually not acknowledged in the song. Michael never said anything about Siedah Garrett (I Just Can’t Stop Loving You) or Eddie Van Halen (Beat It), but he actually introduced Slash before the guitar solo in this song.
The title of the song stands for Dom Sheldon, but Michael is actually singing Tom Sneddon.
SegFault: Unique styles, killer riffs, amazing psychedelic solos (this is David Gilmore's trump card). That's how ya know who is better, well you could listen more to rock to understand that slash ain't the only one, I even forgot to mention Brian May especially on Bohemian Rhapsody.
well I listen to Rock (all forms) but most of this guys were in their prime when I was still a kid.
I mentioned earlier I didn't even know who Eddie Van Halen was until Naptu opened this thread. I'm more accustom to the guitarist of today.
You should listen to Orianthi Highly Strung and tell me what you feel.
SegFault: You need to hear Jimi Hendrix, Mark Knopfler, Jimmy Page and David Gilmore then, there are others who are better than him self like Angus Young and Eric Clapton.
better than Slash? Well yeah its possible but hey I still don't know the criteria they use in knowing who is better than who.
Grandmeister: Lol slash isn’t even top 3 best guitarist...that anniversary performance of bille Jean by MJ is the best stage billie Jean performance of all time bar none!
naptu2: Slash played the solo on DS and he also played on the video or Black or White (it was actually slash that played the riff that Macaulay Culkin was dancing to at the beginning of the video).
Yikes. I use to believe Slash was the person who played the guitar in all Michael Jackson's songs. Even his live performance.
There was his 30th anniversary celebration where Slash literally killed every song he played his guitar, especially the song before Billie Jean.
I often compare Eddie Van Halen's solo on Beat It and Slash's solo on DS, but I can't decide which I prefer.
Slash also played on Give In To Me, but it was a different guitarist on Dirty Diana.
For me I believe Slash's solo on Give In To Me trumps it all. I didn't even think there's another Guitarist who's better than Slash. To me the person who came close is Steve Vai.
Whoever the guitarist is that played on Dirty Diana deserves a vacation in Heaven.
Van Halen were very popular in the 1980s and early 1990s
I was just a kid then. Never heard of the group before and didn't even know he existed until your thread. Now I know.
Nuff respect to Eddie Van Halen. Dude really rocks.
