Once upon a time in America 10/10 - Perfect in every way.

I never thought I would see a picture I would hold in the same reverence as the godfather. The cinematography, the pacing, the acting and the resonating scores that just won't leave your head after you hear them are all reminiscent of the perfection Francis Ford Coppola achieved with the two godfathers.

Unlike most gangster films, this movie depicts its characters from their adolescent years, you get to see the environment that shaped them into what they become and circumstances beyond their control that messes up their upbringings. It's about the characters, every one of them has a soul and could be felt throughout the film. It explores friendship and betrayal perfectly and doesn't shy away from violence and nudity while also portraying the objectification of woman (Feminists aren't going to like the women in this film) from the perspective of the characters it even goes as far as depicting rape in an explicit way.

I don't find the movie lacking in any way, 3 hrs 40 mins long and I already watched it 3 times and counting.

Rest in peace Ennio Morricone (1928 - 2020) A true legend.

Marriage is definitely not for the faint hearted. If you are not prepared to forgive a lot of things then you cannot remain in marriage.

Watching them interact was like watching two friends gist, which is what many couples of these days seem to lack: a core understanding of what marriage is all about. That marriage is not just about sex, glitz and glamour and taking photos. That marriage is HARD WORK, but that work is made easier when there is love, mutual respect, friendship and companionship in the union. Awon 'marriage is overrated' crew should take note that good news doesn't make an interesting read but bad news of drama, cheating and divorce captivates the attention and panders to the human's innate propensity for scandal and gossip. There are still successful marriages out there, even between younger couples than the Smiths, but since you only read about the troubled ones, you now have the idea that all marriages are like the bad ones you read about online.

That's the tenets of an abusive relationship, one partner abuses and trap the other or the abuser makes it extremely difficult for the abused to leave like in case of the movie..btw Cecilia did try to leave (it's literally the first scene in the movie), it was Adrian who wouldn't let go.
