If some is real, they won’t tell us but I believe some actors can do it to make it more realistic and get the characters closer that’s why many of this actors start dating during their movies.

There is a reason the show is called "The Penguin" and not "The Batman and Penguin" or some shii like that. Oswald was clearly set up to be the Anti-hero which suited the show's narrative senselessly, adding "The Batman" to come do his usual shenanigans would have derailed from that. Penguin was clearly meant to be the star of this or you wanted Batman to come play second fiddle in a show set in Gotham? It would thematically wouldn't have worked... plus who would have played Batman? Robert Pattinson? It would have been contractual hell tbh.
