Na WA oh. She has a billion Naira of her personal money. I'm now even more curious, how much she's actually worth. Spending all those years in senate must have provided her access with many, many things...
All the same, well done madam Tinubu and thank you for the gesture.
I wasn’t expecting the film to be so emotionally profound—it truly was an emotional rollercoaster. Initially, I anticipated a standard action-packed experience, but it quickly became clear that the filmmakers were exploring a deeper thematic direction. I can clearly see why some slow individuals might find it hard to grasp the direction of the movie, particularly those who don't think comic book movies should carry more thematic weight like tackling real-world issues such as depression, substance abuse, trauma, and social isolation.
The film’s focus on mental health gave the story a familiar resonance, but it was presented in a refreshing and impactful way. I now understand why critics responded so positively—this feels like a long-awaited breakthrough where the MCU finally offered audiences something emotionally relatable and meaningful.
It also reminded me of other ambitious films that took similar narrative risks but failed to perform commercially. It's unfortunate, but studios have long had contingency plans for movies that underperform at the box office. Fortunately, theatrical revenue is only one part of a film’s overall profitability. With its digital release on platforms such as Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango, and the upcoming Disney+ launch, I’m confident this remarkable project will eventually find financial success—even if the public isn’t made fully aware of its digital earnings.
Kaycee7: Still in episode 2. Really like Natalie and her rapport with Riri.
The internet's been buzzing about Sacha Baron Cohen's Mephisto so I can't wait to see that.
Just have to finish Jack Ryan S4 first
Men. The few scenes he appeared, he actually killed it. Dude doesn't need to even do much for you to know he's always hilarious, but with this, deadly dangerous. Lol
For me, it's the absolute confidence with which you spew so much misinformation...
As a practicing lawyer, I can assure you that you are very wrong...underage persons can give evidence in court as long as the court is convinced he or she understands the questions put to him or her...
And minors can also be tried for criminal offences..
Resist the urge to have an opinion on things you know nothing about
Kindly quote me the section where it is explicitly stated that, minors can be trialed for criminal offense and they can testify in court.
Such cases are usually DOA. Since there is no nobody present who actually witnessed him insert his penis into her mouth, the case can't see the light of day. Also, having her testifying to him doing that nonsense won't be able to hold water, because she's underage and underage person's can't be witness in court, neither can they be trialed for committing an offense.
Kaycee7: This might rival Oppenheimer's lineup. Everybody wants to work with Dee Christopher. Even me sef go like collect random crew member #27 or something like that
Now seeing all this high powered cast, I'm wondering what the budget will be like, because paying these actors is something else. Lol
This show peaked at Season 2, and I knew Season 3 (which, in hindsight, feels like Part 2 of S2) was going to crescendo into an ending that might not sit well with many people. But I’m not one of them.
To understand and digest that ending, you have to realize, there are no saints in this story only sinners. Not the rich Americans looking for a new bloodsport, not the organizers or enablers of the game, and certainly not the participants whose greed was so insatiable that even when given the option to leave, they kept voting to continue. (A fatal flaw of democracy: when the number of idiots outweighs the sane and rational.) In hindsight, it was a perfect ending, in my books.
Now to the elephant in the room: man, the Americanization of the entire S3,especially the last 15 minutes of the finale, was an eyesore. The actors playing the "Americans" were terrible. They spoke English, yes, but it felt like a foreign language. I know this was done in preparation for the show's crossover into Hollywood, but I’m still not convinced about what the gringos plan to do with this premise.
All in all, this show had already cemented its place in pop culture history long before this season. It's easily one of the GOATs,one of the finest exports from Korean cinema, and, quite frankly, one of the best-looking shows ever. The production value is top-tier. The cinematography? Top shelf. Every scene popped with colours, literally everywhere you looked. That’s just one of my many takeaways.
And yes, this Season 3 is totally watchable, and fitting, in its own twisted way. I liked it.
Special... Special... show. ✨
7/10.
It's a fatal flaw in nature's design, idiots always outnumber genius, and stupidity, always overtake common sense.
Perhaps, it's nature's way ov being sarcastic, who knows. 🤷
Hannysmilez: Just watched the most interesting documentary on Super Falcons. It’s actually frustrating that this is the most awarded team in the country yet the NFF doesn’t value them. Not giving them enough jerseys, unfulfilled promises. We need to treat women better everywhere.
Money isn't everything. That's the plain truth. If you think money is everything, wait till you're diagnosed with an incurable sickness, then you'll understand that money truly isn't everything.
BlackManta: I stopped watching when she said Tony Stark would not be Iron Man if he wasn't a billionaire.
I did not watch this man build his first Iron Man suit in a cave with a box of scraps to get disrespected like that.
Thats a massive plot hole and a big slap on Tony Stark's face.
Although, it's just her way of justifying stealing, that's just it. Marvel wrote it well though. They tried making her look like Robin Hood (stealing from the rich to give to the poor) they forget stealing is stealing, no matter what. As long as, you take what doesn't belong to you, it is stealing, period.
Also, she def isn't Tony Stark. Infact, she's no where near Tony Stark. She's a cheap copy of Justin Hammer.
JigsawKillah: The bottle of gin is empty again Its content is my show of restraint The sitting room spins Air escapes from my nostrils in hums Like a laundry machine
My bed all night has been polished tiles And yet the cold cannot match What burns inside of me Nor the ice-cold water I sip from Hourly
The doorbell rings too early even for crickets The shrill cuts through my heart and quickens my heartbeats I run my fingers through my locs For sometimes, when reality skips This act brings it back
It's not real, he is not real He does not need me to open the door If he wants, he glides through The gentleman with the newspaper And the fuel for that which Incinerates my insides
abduleez1: If it's the DC TV show you talking about...Yes. Easily top 3 Best TV show of last year.
Top 3 best TV show of last year, and I still haven't seen it. Hmm.
I just wanted to confirm if it's as good as I've been hearing people say. I have my reservation about the way peeps hype series/movies on here. So I want to be sure before I feast, lemme not go and eat stone. Lol
abduleez1: Solid work they did. S2 was the best for me. Unmatched. S3 did well to round all things up. The show did a good job filling my craving for Greek Mythos.
Ishilove: May we not labour and not eat the fruit of labours. Yekini's daughter is likely the person who will take possession of the house on behalf of her father and Keshi's children will do the same.
But Nigeria ... It took them a whole 31 YEARS to fulfill a pledge?? What a shame
Better late than never, isn't it? All the same, the pledge was fulfilled
Lezzlie: The kind of senile posts from desperate, attention hungry women Nairaland assaults us with as entertainment is disgusting to the stomach.
My brother, at times I wonder if those responsible for pushing threads to front page are just being mischievous for reasons best known to them.
I mean, taking a look at this nonsense thread, and the foolishness of the person who said that nonsense, one wonders what state of mind those who pushed it to front page are.
