Nubian113: Love the words but your arrangement is a distraction. Use one coma and it will look more presentable. I'm a newbie and that's poetry 101 for you well done otherwise LMFAO!. |

Ray360: Nice. But too direct. Well, it's your style. I Fancy poems that use connotative language which entails the metaphoric use of words. You may argue that your piece encompassed this device, But it is quite too plain with no imagery. In all, kudos! All poem doesn't need to include imagery. There's absolutely nothing to imagine when talking about the day to day life in Nigeria, especially when it has to do with people who have no moral scruple. Thanks for your words. |

cold: Just one thing though. It's rip off and not reap off. The grammar nazi in me couldn't ignore. In Poetry, there's a thing called poetic license, simply put, it gives a poet the power to murder English language the way he see fit. Anyway, thanks for the correction. |

Romance › Re: Girls, Keep Your Virginity! by joseph1832(m): 12:20am On Jan 09, 2016 |
Shortyy: OK, I read something here yesterday about men and why they shouldn't care about virgins. As usual 95% of them men would rather marry a non virgin than marry an inexperienced naïve blaa blaa girl. Kai smh! Now back to the matter. I wasn't impressed with that article at all. It was as if it was encouraging the girls to go on and loose themselves. I'm not saying she wasn't right in a way, but! A virgin girl reading that at that moment might say, "oh soot, what's the point if he's still gonna marry me after all?" But he might not. So please keep it. They'll tell you how important it is that you lose it, how you've become of age and shouldn't keep it anymore, how they'll know if you're compatible for them, and all kinds of BS, don't do it as long as you know yourself and you are clean, don't do it, if he loves you, he'll stay. Remember ladies, a girl's virginity is her pride. I'm not talking bout the Bible here or what they tell you on Sunday school. I'm talking bout you as a girl. Your virginity is your pride, your dignity, it's part of your self respect. So keep it! Forget about those that have lost thiers for nothing, they wish they could turn back the hands of time. That man who found out that his wife was a virgin on their wedding night, won't only love her, but also respect her for the rest of their lives. Girls, be wise. Conniving rogues plague the land Causing commotion that shames the land Saintly men grace the land Restoring order which raise the land
Thieving churches reaps the poor Causing tears to taint the poor Bloodthirsty mosques brainwash the poor Causing blood to stain the poor
Greedy politicians lie to the people Causing poverty to embrace the people Incompetent technocrats shun the people Causing stagnation to smile at the people
Women of easy virtue smile at the masses Making frustration flee from the masses Women of substance mock the masses Making frustration laugh at the masses
Professional landlords feed on their tenants Causing hardship to visit their tenants Well meaning caretakers smile at tenants Just so they can reap off the tenants
The people of Nigeria lie to Nigeria Using religion/tribalism to further lie to Nigeria Causing us to be where we are in Nigeria For such is everyday life Nigeria 57 Likes 18 Shares |

I still don't understand Wike's grouse with Wole Soyinka, he was hosted to a birthday dinner by Amaechi, so what's Wole Soyinka's business with how much Amaechi spent?
If the FG decides to host me to a dinner party, should I make it my business how much the FG spent on the dinner party? Hell no. |
