igboboy3: Snailspeed may be too busy to respond so I'll tell you why this "$2.1billion" is an embellishment. The sum was total extra-budgetary intervention made by the ONSA from March 2012 to May 2015 (NB: Dasuki became NSA in June 2015) as claimed by Buhari's panel.
What is this one saying? Please refrain from quoting me if you can't say something that has any substance. |

lanicky: OK, I'm here again with my wahala. Make una no vex o. Lol.
If you've ever been cheated on, you know the way pain and anguish that accompanies it. The feelings of rejection and helplessness are almost unbearable, but rest assured there is help to the situation.
To cheaters:
1)Think of your children: Do you think they will forgive you if they find out about what you've been doing? 70% of children find it difficult to forgive their cheating parent. Think ahead to what court might think of you as q parent. You may think your partner won't fight you on custody, but people change when they get into divorce court. How do you know 70% of children will not forgive their parent if they know they cheated? Kindly provide proof and evidence to ascertain your claim, cos I believe you must have done a research for you to arrive at this conclusion. (2)Be honest with yourself: Do you think you have nothing to hide while trying move forward. Sometimes the past do hunt the future. If you can't stop on your own, get professional help. If you know you're not willing to stop the shameful act and you don't care about your partner, you'll let him/her go. You should know majority of Nigerians aren't honest with themselves, in fact, they see themselves as primus interparas, thus, this gives them the belief that they can do whatever they want and go scud free. Yet another opinionated post devoid of facts and proof of evidence. Honestly, you guys who come up with all this bullsh1t post should just learn to state it clearly that your post is just base on your personal opinion. Stop coming here and saying this and that and attributing and believing your opinion are facts!. Thank you very much, thank you very much!!!. Good riddance!. |

snailspeed: There was no $2.1B borrowed to buy arms? Cant you get that already? It is propaganda Like I said, how did you come about this? How did you know this? Are you a part of the former administration? Do you know something the Buhari lead government doesn't? Are you on face to face communication with Dasuki to know and ascertain that there was no 2 billion dollars? Please kindly elucidate on this. Thank you. Just so you know, you accused the Buhari lead government of propaganda, I'll have you know that the same propaganda you so righteously accused the Buhari lead government of is what you're doing with this thread of yours. I await your response. |
Politics › Re: $2.1 Billion Arms Money Is Biggest Propaganda Of 2015 by joseph1832(m): 7:22pm On Jan 13, 2016 |
snailspeed: I have been following the so called Dasukigate and I am amazed how easy it is for a government to use the media to deceive and distract the ignorant masses. History has shown that propaganda remains the biggest tool of any government that intends to enslave a people. Unfortnately, even the current opposition has been quite incompetent in putting the records straight
For the records, there is nothing like a $2.1B arms money. It was a propaganda masterstroke well concotted by the DSS and EFCC to distract everyone from the incompetence of the Buhari administration. That is why former president Goodluck Jonathan has come out twice now to put the records staright that he never approved any $2.1B arms money. But it seems the ignorant masses still dont get it. So where did the "$2.1B arms money" headline originate from?
$2.1B was the monies that was allocated to the office of the NSA throughout Dasuki's tenure as NSA. These monies come under SECURITY VOTE. It was not money allocated to the purchase of weapons as the DSS and the EFCC have claimed. That is why they cant take Dasuki to court. They will lose woefully. Security vote is not money allocated for arms purchase. Of the whole monies that make up the $2.1B, only the $300 million from the returned Abacha loot was actually recommended for the purchase of arms. That is why in court, the charges brought against Dasuki was in that range. But they are likely going to lose in court for that because weapons were actually purchased. Whether they are worth $300 million is what the EFCC will have to prove in court. But from the way they have been refusing to follow the court process, one is safe to assume that they dont trust their own case against Dasuki.
But why did they go with the headlines of "$2.1 Billion arms purchase money" when they knew it was not the case? Because the whole anti coruption fight was only a propaganda stunt from the beginning. It was a well crafted stunt to distract the masses and persecute any dissenting voice so Buhari can fully consolidate power. Does that mean I think many of the politicians mentioned in the scandal are clean? By no means! Nigerian politicians are corrupt without a doubt including the presidency and everyone in the rulling APC party. The president's campaign itself was sponsored from corruption. The Amaechi corruption scandals are well documented with very strong evidence.
If Dasuki has stolen any funds, he should be prosecuted accordingly, but the media propaganda and charade has got to stop. Media trial is injustice in itself. I find it really deceitful when I see lines like "what will you tell the Nigerian soldiers that didnt have weapons to fight and were killed because Dasuki shared the arms money". That is nothing but propaganda and trying to appeal to sentiments to push a narrative. If that were the case, what has the same military been using to fight BH in the last 8 months since Buhari has not bought any new weapons? What weapons did the army use to push back BH prior to the 2015 elections? Did they push BH back with their bare hands too? Even Lie Mohammed claims BH has been defeated. With which weapons did the army defeat BH? With their bare hands?
It is important we put all these straight so we dont fall for cheap propoaganda by a government that has completely lost its way. The same government that claims they are fighting corruption came out with a terrible corruption laden budget where they intended to connect cables from the President's residence to the drivers residence with N300 million. In fact, the budget of yams was so laden with coruption that they had to shamelessly withdraw it.
The world has changed. If the current government thinks they will continue to rule with propaganda, they should think again because they will be exposed again and again. Thank God for social media and the Internet! And did you concoct this or are you going to provide a source for this? Cos I can remember vividly sometime last year when GEJ said they needed 2 billion dollars to combat Boko Haram. |

rhymz: Your arguments are beginning to get repetitive and very pedestrian, let's argue with facts here, I just read the link you just posted apparently the link just confirmed what what the OP is saying, Dasuki never agreed to the amount the FG is peddling, instead he is arguing his innocence and pointing out the fact that they are concocting all manner of allegations and hopping it on him...... The man wants to have his day in court and the FG are frustrating that with propaganda and deliberate disobedience of court orders.
Put your arguments in perspective, even the EFCC while they are busy leaking out false information and stories to the likes of Sahara reporters, are only charging Dasuki for 13 billion Naira misappropriation which Dasuki is very ready to argue his case in court, he has continued to maintain that he is innocent until the Buhari government can prove otherwise, he us actually innocent.
And lastly, I am very much in contact with Metuh's people, any report that claims that he, Metuh had actually agreed to being a recipient of 400million Naira from Dasuki is a flat out lie, one of those kindergarten weakileak nonsense from Sahara reporters. We have heard all manner of preposterous stories about how Metuh chewed the piece of paper he was alleged to have written a statement on after realizing the enormity of his statement. Metuh is a lawyer and knows exactly the implications of agreeing or not agreeing to signing on any statements, he is not an illiterate or ignorant of the law to the point he would make rash decisions while in detention.
Any statement that is not coming out from Metuh's lawyers is a flat out lie. Here is what we know and this is from a reliable source, Metuh went on hunger strike for his rights to be enforced while in detention, Metuh is being denied access even by his lawyers and the EFCC are trying to wear him down psychologically to make a statement which he had refused to do until they charge him to court. Enough of this mafioso style of fighting corruption with force and propaganda, if the FG is convinced they have a case against anybody charge them to court and not fraudulently hustle a corrupt magistrate to rubber stamp an order to keep and abuse the right of a suspect. As usual, you never fail to disappoint me my good man. With all this alleged Dasuki screaming that he is innocent, can you tell me what on earth happened to the 2.1billion dollars borrowed to buy arms and ammunition? |

Agriculture › Re: I Killed This Giant Wild Cat For Killing My Chickens (Photos) by joseph1832(m): 5:36pm On Jan 13, 2016 |
Seun: Yes. The difference is that venomous snakes can kill people. If a venomous snake bites you in Nigeria, you are dead. So we don't joke with snakes. If I captured a non-venomous snake (or a wild cat), I would try to keep it in the cage as a pet instead of killing it. My ideal cat would look just like the cat in this picture. Smooth black fur with golden eyes, just like cats in the movies. I'm not afraid of black cats. Well that's you! Some people are afraid of cats. The people I know that usually keep cats as pets are people from the north. Never forget what the cat in question did. I believe what it did warranted to its sending to the world beyond. |

I tell her I need her, just like the Earth need the Sun to survive.
She ask me just how; can the Earth need the Sun to survive?,
Then I tell her, can a man, real' survive without 'civic woman?. |

AlPeter: When the Heart bleeds and there is no one there. When silent cries are made in the depth of the night. When the soul's desires echoes in the chambers of despair Then hope arises and faith encourages, But in your eyes only will I see comfort. This is it, now the poem is structured in quintain form, that is, five line poetry with a single stanza. NOTE: In the 3rd line I didn't put a full stop because it will make the line run into the 4th line. |

He said that you opt for rhyming rather than sending a message although that's what your trying to do (send a message) I like poems that move me emotionally even if the rhyme is weak as long as the message is clear and poetic. You have huge potential if you just step out of "conventional."
