Good as an individual you should know what you stand for. I resigned before even getting my salary for this month Reason
I was employed as a project supervisor and we've been able to execute one project. That was on my 1st two weeks as a trainee without pay, now we have no project on ground and I have been turned to an errand boy by the Boss. He drags me to his party n compel me to serve guest which I stylishly resist. He is so aggressive he transfers aggression on every one if someone offends him calling us names. He doesn't listen to our opinion with his favorite line when I talk you don't talk. Last Saturday was the last straw he was hitting me on my chest n almost hit me on my face n told me to leave the vicinity like say I be baby. Now people at work are calling me to apologize to him saying I should know him for that which I totally refused and I quit going to the office. He's been telling them I'm so arrogant that I can't even inform him I'm quitting.
Tell those that are asking you to apologise to him to tell him that he is stupid. Insulting and assaulting an employee is highly wrong and should not be tolerated.

You know your worth.

'An anger enraged in me and I jumped up and pushed him and slapped his back'. How violent are you, woman? You should know, you are no different from the ex. She's manipulative while you're controlling and violent, both can be associated with certain personality disorders.....
And suddenly she didn't know where his rage came from when he started punching her and threatening to break her laptop. Meanwhile, she had hit him earlier and chucked it down to play play because the guy didn't react in predictable fashion.

Clearly, she is creating more issues by insisting that he changes his phone number, and no it's not a thing of pride for the man if he wishes not to change his phone. Respect his wishes.Drop it and eventually he'd come around to your reasoning.

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu, has revealed that he cannot confirm if any of the oil workers kidnapped by Boko Haram has been rescued.
The Minister made this known while speaking with journalists at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) towers in Abuja, on Thursday.
“We’re gladdened by reports of some rescue of the victims. We however await the official confirmation from military authorities”. The insurgents laid ambush for the oil workers in Magumeri local government area of Borno State on Tuesday.”
On the issue of insecurity threatening the North East, the Minister explained that they had considered the security situation of the region safe before it sent the delegation that went for oil exploration.
“Re-entry into the Chad Basin wasn’t misguided. For 6 months, they have been operating in the area as there’s some stability. We’ve got d security clearance on re-entry. We’re not alone on this, our neighbours are also drilling across the border. Kachikwu stressed that the incident will not deter
NNPC from continuing oil exploration. Provided there’s sufficient security clearance, will definitely go back and continue to explore for oil in the area”
The NNPC had commissioned the oil workers to explore oil in Lake Chad. Nine soldiers and some members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) who were providing security for them were killed a day after, the Army announced that all the NNPC staff had been rescued.
In a statement by the spokesperson of the Army Brigadier Sani Usman, “So far, we have rescued all the NNPC staff and recovered the corpses of the officer, eight soldiers and a civilian have been evacuated to 7 division medical services and hospital,”On receipt of the information, the Brigade mobilised and sent reinforcement, search and rescue party that worked and pursued the terrorists throughout the night.

PoliticsSee The Reason Brt Drivers Protested Today by Joshchi(op): 4:48pm On Jul 10, 2017
Passengers on the Bus Rapid Transport, BRT plying the Ikorodu-TBS were today left stranded as drivers and ticketers embarked on a two hour strike action to protest delay in prompt payment of salaries.
The strike commenced by 10am and lasted untill 12pm. There were speculations that the drivers were protesting an increase in BRT fares. However, a staff who spoke to NUUS.NG under condition of anonymity, disclosed that this was the second time that drivers will take to the streets to express dissatisfaction over consistent delays in payment of salaries by the management.
” They are not paying salaries at the right time. Their salaries are supposed to be paid on the 30th or 31st and they are paying them like on 7th, 9th or 10th. Now they have not paid. This is the second time that it has occurred. One has occurred before, that we did not work for a full day. that one happened last year, ” he said.

Our source said that the drivers decided to discontinue the strike after a meeting between the management and drivers, which saw some of them begin to receive alerts.
Passengers who spoke to Nuus.ng complained of being late for their appointments as a result of the strike. Yellow buses were kept busy as their were more passengers than Buses.
According to a passenger who gave his name as Chima, he said ” I have been here for two hours and there’s no bus going to TBS. They have made me miss my meeting.”

Other passengers urged the management of the Blue BRT buses to reduce the transport fare whch was increased in March
Calls to the number on the BRT customer care unit was not answered.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has charged African leaders to affirm their readiness to a comprehensive approach in addressing the root causes of violence in countries on the continent.
Osinbajo, made this statement at the ongoing African Union summit in Addis Ababa where he led the discussion on peace and security as the Chairman of the AU’s Peace & Security Council, a continental equivalent of the U.N’s Security Council.
According to Prof. Osinbajo, “we need to rekindle our political will and determination not to bequeath to the next generation of Africans the burden of wars, poverty and misery. It is therefore necessary for the Assembly to reaffirm the overriding importance of holistically addressing the root causes of violent conflicts in our countries.”
Osinbajo stated that the AU will prioritize the adoption of practical measures to address the current security challenges in South Sudan, Somalia, Guinea Bissau, the Sahel-Sahelo and Lake Chad Basin regions.
Currently, Nigeria is the Chairperson of the AU’s Peace and Security Council.

PoliticsHow Africa Can Bear The Burden Of America’s Foreign Aid Cuts by Joshchi(op): 2:46pm On Apr 27, 2017
The prospects for the US government’s participation in the development of Africa appears to be dwindling as Donald Trump’s plan to drastically cut assistance to developing countries and merge the State Department with USAID, in order to fund other national security objectives edges closer to completion.
A 15-page document obtained by Foreign Policy indicates that the administration’s March budget proposal will see aid to developing countries slashed by over one-third. The document details how the Trump administration’s plans to reduce direct foreign assistance would take place in fiscal year 2018.
The US contributes the most to global humanitarian efforts around the world, with one percent of its annual budget amounting to 28 percent of the United Nations budget. USAID puts the total sum at $22.17 billion for 2017.
The areas of health and tackling diseases are the major focus in US humanitarian aid. According to NPR, in 2014, the US spent $3.1 billion on HIV/AIDS — about a fifth of the foreign aid budget. The next two big health categories were “Maternal and Child Health,” at about $530 million, and malaria, at about $470 million.
In 2017, the US through USAID is planning to spend about $300 million to boost electricity in Africa by adding 30,000 megawatts of power. $3.3 billion was used to provide emergency feeding and other humanitarian assistance to internally displaced people around the world.
The scope of US humanitarian assistance to Africa and the Middle East is wide. The Washington Post quotes the Director General of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Yves Daccord, “Nobody can replace the U.S. in terms of funding.”
Incidentally, the UN needs $781.8 million to take care of victims of violence and refugees in the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan and Uganda.
Speaking to CNN, Gayle Smith, the last United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator under former President Barack Obama, expressed concern over the effects that cuts could have on emergency assistance from the US.
“If we were to significantly recede, it would be a matter of life and death for a lot of people,” Smith told CNN.
While Africa and parts of the Middle East fret over who will take over the burden of funding from America, questions are also being asked about the impact of foreign aid. The theory is that despite the huge outlay of foreign aid, not much has changed in Africa. The continent is still plagued by war, poverty, low standard of education and diseases.
According to a BBC report, Ethiopia remains one of the poorest countries on the planet. About a third of the population earns less than $1 (63p) a day and it received $504 million (£324 million) from the UK government in 2011/12, making it the biggest recipient of bilateral aid from the country that year.
To reduce poverty, trade and investment have been touted as an alternative to foreign aid. A former African Development Bank president, Donald Kaberuka, champions this as a new alternative source to Africa’s development.
“I believe that it is time to shift the debate from the mechanics of aid delivery to the broader development challenges we will face in the coming years. Aid is only a means to an end. Indeed, if aid is truly effective, it will progressively put itself out of business. Effective aid should therefore be designed with this in mind – to strengthen, not displace, domestic energy and capacity; and to build up, not replace, alternative sources of development finance. This is a new way of thinking about development partnership,” Mr Kaberuka said.
China is already taking up the initiative of investing in Africa. According to Wikipedia, China recently became Africa’s largest trading partner, with trade of US$90 billion in 2009. The United States ranked 2nd, with $86 billion.
Increased trade and investment into Africa will translate to more jobs for Africans and improved standard of living.
Leadership in Africa has to wake up to the new reality that aid will drop significantly and so, there’s the need to step up. It has to come up with ways to tackle issues of insecurity and war that have displaced many around the continent. In Nigeria, 3.6 million people have been displaced by the Boko Haram crisis in the north.
Agriculture and food security should be given a priority now. It is commendable that the Africa Development Bank, AfDB, has released $280 million dollars to support youths who are interested in agriculture. This sort of gesture should be extended all around Africa.

HealthHow To Know You Have Excess Carbon Monoxide In Your Body by Joshchi(op):
I think we owe it ourselves to know more about the things that affect our health and kill us in order to stop blaming supernatural elements. Often we hear stories of people who slept and didn't wake up, it could be as a result of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning.

What Is Carbon Monoxide Poisoning?
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a gas that’s both odorless and colorless. It’s found in combustion (exhaust) fumes produced by:

heaters
fireplaces
car mufflers
space heaters
charcoal grills
car engines
portable generators
Everyone is exposed to small amounts of carbon monoxide throughout the day. However, inhaling too much of it can cause CO poisoning.

CO can increase to dangerous levels when combustion fumes become trapped in a poorly ventilated or enclosed space (such as a garage). Inhaling these fumes causes CO to build up in your bloodstream, which can lead to severe tissue damage.

CO poisoning is extremely serious and can be life threatening. Call 911 immediately if you or someone you know shows signs of CO poisoning.

What Are the Symptoms of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning?
The most common symptoms of CO poisoning are:

dull headache
weakness
nausea
vomiting
confusion
dizziness
difficulty breathing
If you breathe in large amounts on CO, your body will begin to replace the oxygen in your blood with CO. When this occurs, you can become unconscious. Death may occur in these cases.

You should go to the hospital right away if you’ve been exposed to a source of CO, even if you don’t show symptoms of CO poisoning.

Who Is at Risk of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning?
CO poisoning occurs when there’s a large amount of CO present in the air. The actual poisoning happens when you breathe in this air, especially if you’re in a place that isn’t well ventilated.

The risk for inhaling too much CO increases if you’re near any of the following:

fuel-burning space heater
gas stove or stovetop
water heater
fireplace
idling car or truck in a garage or enclosed space
furnace
These appliances typically produce a safe amount of CO. However, the amount of CO in the air can increase quickly if these appliances are used in enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces.

If you use these appliances in your home, you should place a CO detector near these appliances. It’s also important to avoid leaving your car running inside your garage or other enclosed spaces.

How Is Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Diagnosed?
A doctor or nurse will take a blood sample to determine the amount of CO in your blood. Once CO levels increase to 70 parts per million (ppm) and above, symptoms become more noticeable. These symptoms may include nausea, dizziness, and unconsciousness.

How Is Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Treated?
If a doctor suspects you have CO poisoning, you’ll receive treatment immediately once you’re in the hospital. Quick treatment is essential to prevent life-threatening complications. Treatment may involve:

Oxygen Treatment

The best way to treat CO poisoning is to breathe in pure oxygen. This treatment increases oxygen levels in the blood and helps remove CO from the blood. Your doctor will place an oxygen mask over your nose and mouth and ask you to inhale. If you’re unable to breathe on your own, you’ll receive oxygen through a ventilator.

Oxygen Chamber

Your doctor may temporarily place you in a pressurized oxygen chamber (also known as a hyperbaric oxygen chamber). The oxygen chamber has twice the pressure of normal air. This treatment quickly increases oxygen levels in the blood and it’s typically used in severe cases of CO poisoning or to treat CO poisoning in pregnant women.

Emergency Care

You should never treat CO poisoning yourself. If you believe you have CO poisoning, go outdoors immediately and call 911. Don’t drive yourself to the hospital because you may pass out while driving.

What Are the Long-Term Health Risks of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning?
Even minor cases of CO poisoning can cause serious complications. These may include:

brain damage
heart damage
organ damage
death
Due to the seriousness of these potential complications, it’s important to get help as soon as possible if you believe you have CO poisoning.

Thanks for the info. So wait. A double was used for Mother of dragons too ? Because she has stripped once too many times.
I have no idea about that but then she could decide to do it herself. Most times during the early period of an acting career most actors are open to any role but as they become established and then go on to have families they become selective of the roles they place and what is expected of them.
RomanceRe: Can You Strip Off For G.O.T by Joshchi(m): 7:59pm On Feb 04, 2017
truthsayer007:
How can you prove that sir ? Cuz as far I as I know GOT, stripping is part of the agreement you sign no matter who you are.
The double who was used for the role was interviewed and it took months before a suitable double was found. Stripping in a movie is not a mandatory part of any agreement sir, no matter how integral it is to a story, it is part of your image right which you can determine how far you want it to be used and all these will be specified in the contract signed with the production company. A list Hollywood actors are usually given free passes when it comes to nudity because in most cases it's their ability in interpreting a role that will sell and win awards for the movie.

Stripping for a movie role is optional and contractual depending on the profile of the actor. The actress didn't actually strip, someone else was used for that role and her face super imposed.
