computerboy: Lol... that was 2016 comment. Truly Intel graphics can't run any game now with most games demanding 4gb graphics as minimum requirement. Even Adobe software's are demanding high spec laptop now... For now I'll advise anyone to buy at least 2gb graphics if they want to acquire any computer skill just to be on safe side Please between Hp 8440p and LG Xnote which is more better for use in things like graphic designing, programming and video editing?? |

Politics › Re: Why Do DSS Carry Sophisticated Weapons Than Our Soldiers by joshingjosh(m): 9:39pm On Dec 05, 2018 |
jpphilips: DSS protect politicians, the army protect Nigerians, that's the difference, the NNSBS a specialized unit in the army uses that Tavor riffle too. You must understand that Nigerian defense budget is meager as such there are equipment that will never go round rather it is provided for specialized units. The NNSBS is a specialized unit of the Nigerian Navy not the Army |

LTGEN: Promotion in the NA is different from anywhere in the world 1) For (FORMAL) pass exam 2) Don't do "stupid stuff" 3) 15 years gets you to MAJOR/LT .COL 4) Peer review, comes into play small unit or not get your ass to jaji for junior officer's command 5) Col, is regarded as a senior officer ( NIG) again pass your exam/ get your ass to jaji 6) Brig . GEN : Pass exam , peer review, combat experience*, geographic balance, comes into play Once you are a GEN in NA you are a GEN * TYB looks at this a lot SSC OR DSSC is irrelevant So exams is one of the main reasons for promotion Can a commodore still be in SBS or can one attain the level of Commodore from being in the SBS?? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by joshingjosh(m): 11:12pm On Oct 22, 2018 |
Odunayaw: I don't know much neither will I speak with authority on the matter.
Progression in rank (officers) is hampered when you remain in a small unit all around the world Example, how do you expect to make Colonel if you remain in a group with less than 500 men.
Its an Officer's dream to go to War college, earn a redneck, hold a command etc (this is a reason the officer class irritates me tho )
modified; BOC-C is a replica of Navy Seals BUD/S 5 months long if am not mistaken, broken into Physical Conditioning phase (Which includes Hell week), Diving Phase & Land Phase. Thanks for the explanation |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by joshingjosh(m): 10:51pm On Oct 22, 2018 |
Odunayaw: Passing SBS BOC-C can't be accomplished by someone afraid to die. If that person escapes that, the next 10-12months of training will quickly strip the person naked.
SBS BOC-C is modeled like SEALs BUD/s with a touch of Nigerian flavor . You have heard the testimony of an officer here, these ones are as rough as crocodile hide.
Officers don't stay long because of career progression. What officer doesn't want to reach the pinnacle of his career (Admiralty)
The NA personnel that were trained by/with the SBS return to their parent units(NA SF or the likes) bringing their experience along Can u explain more on the shaded one? Plus any info on the SBS BOC-C like what are the process |
