This website says it all, the reason why we should invest in this our indigienous company and make the production a large scale one... Hope the idea would be bought..they also produce Amoured boats and Suvs http://proforcedefence.com/mrap/ |

This helicopter is something else...it has more capacity than Chinook and it's even cheaper as compared to it... It can even carry an aeroplane
|
Foreign Affairs › Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by joshingjosh(m): 4:53pm On Jul 30, 2018 |
ugo4u: I think the helicopter is the best Machine for such ops due to its ability to land anywhere, the C130 may be used to airlift goods to nearest military facility while the chinooks or any transport helicopter do the delivery to front line troops. PS. The Chinooks can even airlift IFVs, humvees supplies etc That bird is one hell of a beast. The Super Puma which is one of the dedicated airlift heli we have can do the bager job, I've flown in it once believe you me that lady can suffice, its a cheaper alternative to Chinnoks which can cost as much as $30m per unit. Last last me still feel that sharing the $320m Abacha loot is not justifiable or sensible, if the FG is serious on this COIN ops then we should invest that money on Military hardwares. Can that super puma lift up ifvs? The bolded statement is very correct |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by joshingjosh(m): 12:16pm On Jul 30, 2018 |
ugo4u: C-130 is a fixed wing aircraft not Helicopter. Chinook is a dedicated transport Helicopter which the NAF don't have. Thanks for the correction but I still stand with the decision of more C-130 because it has more space to Carry both troops, ammunitions and supplies and also fuel... |

allexpensive: Baba, in most cases men don't even care about this bullet proof . During fire fight at times, you'll see men gisting with bullets flying except it's extremely intense.
.
During our intense offensive last year which saw the deployment of technology, that was when I realized we can actually deal with those bastards without IFV and Tanks. The government deployed surveillance where we had a full knowledge of their movement.
The problem now isn't the guns. Kit up is available but cannot be maintained as these soldiers spend weeks far away from base.
Long range operations. Most supply are armament and foods. The bold messages 1) Sounds very funny though...am still trying to imagine what it will be like ....have seen some in videos 2)Why can't they deploy the same equipments to see and end to insurgency in the Northeast...this COIN Operation has degraded our statue in Africa based on the duration it has stayed and the recent death rate recorded in our side...plus it's not as if we are really buying top notch weapons to face them.. I thought since the president was a military man, defeating BHT wouldn't have been a problem 3) I believe with the purchase of more C-130(transport helicopters) they would be adequate provisions for our Frontline troops because they are giving their best for this Nation |

Naf seems to be the only part of the armed forces that is always on the news for development both in capacity building, renovation and provision of accommodation for their soldiers... It makes me ask this question...where is the NAVY?? |

allexpensive: Haha no. I have been told of my presence here on social media. They are okay with it but I'm limited to posts alone. I still wish I can attach pictures. Sir That means they are also viewing this thread....let me use this opportunity to suggest that if we manufacturing our Frontline vehicles in the country with the combination of innoson producing the body and proforce adding amour to it, I believe it will serve us better than buying those light skinned Toyota death trap for people that are sacrificing their today for our tomorrow.. The moment we decided to stop thinking of ourselves and putting everyone into consideration by providing 1) Amoured vehicles like explained above to cut cost and promote indigienous production 2) Ballastic bullet proof vest 3) A much more better than gun than the issued rusted Ak 47.....and others, the soldiers will be encouraged the more to go the extra mile..... Just a concerned Nigerian

allexpensive: They are being deployed here for combat. They seem better than the Toyota in this raining season. And still the DHQ and the commanders don't see any reason to buy them in large quantity to support indigienous production. Do you have a picture of them??...I would like to see them |
