NA is better addressed as Federal Vigilante Group. I've seen many of their Clips on Twitter, to be honest nothing wow with their tactical Discipline and Kits.
At times, you do ask yourself if they are trained at all?! Compare them to NAF recently deploy to tackle Bandits, then you would wonder what's wrong with NA Leadership.
NAF Kits alone would scare off those malnourished Twerps. I wish NAF and SBS can be deployed to replace NA completely in the ongoing Battles, it won't take long to wipe out those bunch of Twits.
Note: last 2 Pics (SBS).
If wishes were horses.. NA leadership needs to tackle the issue of Kitting, it makes soldiers look unprofessional.
From the info I read, A Squadron Leader (Amry equivalent of a Major) was also prosecuted... Does this means that someone of such ranking can be doing security details

bidex111: Even if the military presence are there and other security agencies are in ground they still need them to form vigilante group, that’s the bitter truth. The military is over stretched, they can only come and clear and dislodge them from there hide out but they wouldn’t be able to hold or be there for a long time. And banditry should be the work of MOPOLs or CIVIlL DEFENSE and another hard truth is that there is little the state government can do because the military and other security agencies is controlled by the federal government. Look at what Borno state government is doing they are seriously investing in the joint vigilante stuff and it’s bearing good result. The only thing is the state government has to finance very well , provide them with vehicles to carry out patrols, radios, uniforms and some level of weapon to arm and protect the community. Train them, Standardize and professionalize it.
To them, the military is not overstretched, that's why you see MILITARY men Manning check points in the east when we need more boots on ground in the North
You see MILITARY men providing security details for civilians when police is there (I don't even like this idea of sending security men to protect every tom, dick and Harry).
Like today, there was a Convoy of flashy cars(better ones oo, convertible and Dodge Challenger) with police escort. Guess what? It was been driven by young guys with ladies inside .. but I dey envy them oo
I didn't see anybody mention @allexpensive here ...it's been awhile, bro if you are seeing this, please signify or radio in, I have missed your Frontline update about NAF.
Wait oo.. seems like am not understanding something. The Us is in Afghanistan and Iraq to out an end to ISIS right?? And now we in Nigeria are at war with Boko Haram which are afflicted to ISIS. So if Us wants to end ISIS, what don't they help us and give us some of their toys to use and put and end to this war...by their toys I mean; 1) A10 Warthog 2) Humvees (they replaced Humvees with JTLV/MTV. Support and logistics too..
I know they are reasons why this can't happen, can someone please explain or state them for me??.
Please who knows about military police or Air police or Naval police. 1) how to join them?? 2) how they are being deployed Anything you know about them... thanks
Toju200: The Chief of Naval Staff Benin Navy, Captain Albert Ezin Badou has commended the personnel of Nigerian Navy Ship OSE for their show of gallantry and high level of professionalism during the rescue of 11 crew members onboard a Portuguese flagged container ship, MV TOMMI RITSCHER. The merchant ship which had 19 crew members consisting of Ukrainian, Bulgarian and Filipinos nationals was attacked by pirates in Benin territorial waters on 18 April 2020. Consequently, the Benin Navy requested for assistance from the Nigerian Navy (NN) on 19 April 2020 in line with the MoU of the ECOWAS Maritime Zone ‘E’. The NN and Benin Navy jointly rescued the 11 crew members on 20 April 2020. However, the remaining 8 members of the ship and the pirates could not be found during the rescue operation.
2. In recognition of the role that the Nigerian Navy played in the successful rescue operation, Captain Badou expressed his gratitude to the Nigerian Navy Ship OSE’s ship company under the command of the Officer-in-Charge of the ship, Lieutenant Bilyaminu Umar Abubakar for their prompt response to the incident. He was also appreciative of their efforts which contributed to the success recorded. According to him, “from the moment you arrived Benin territorial waters on 19 Apr 20, you demonstrated good seamanship and security awareness in jointly patrolling the sea around the vessel with our Benin Navy patrol boats. This effort prevented further insecurity incidences relating to the vessel and helped build confidence in our maritime security response against piracy in the ECOWAS Zone ‘E’ maritime domain”. He further applauded the NN Special Boat Service team that participated in the rescue for display of exceptional bravery and tactics in boarding the hijacked vessel to rescue the 11 crew members without any casualty.
3. Captain Badou noted with delight the great success achieved by the joint operation which has further cemented the brotherly ties shared by the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Republic of Benin. He also specifically thanked the Nigerian Navy for its huge support towards this successful operation and urged the crew of Nigerian Navy Ship OSE to keep up the good work. The Chief of the Naval Staff of Benin Navy conveyed the appreciations through a letter of commendation forwarded to the Nigerian Navy.
