Roof woodworks..

Properties / Re: Photo Diary 2: Ongoing Remodeling And Reconstruction Works. (COMPLETED!!!) by Josnac(m): 2:01pm On Feb 10, 2020
Hello guys,
I'm back to the site today as we commence the roofing work.
There was a little adjustment during the block works and we had to increase the entrance porch to the pharmacy, thus our previous roof design was dropped in favour of the new one.

Josnac:

1. Old building before commencement of work.
2-3. Expected final finishing barring any last minute changes.

So, here I've got a few photos to share as usual.
Suffice it to say my clients brother is a Carpenter, he's handling the woodworks here and I believe he can do justice to the roof.

Like I said earlier at the beginning of the thread, the 3-D image is the target output of the remodeling project except of course if there were changes midway, well, such a change occurred and I will update the design image accordingly, but later.

UPDATES!!

Good afternoon and a happy Sunday.
Been unavoidably absent from site for a couple of days, just returned today and went straight to appraise the level of work done..a few pictures below.
pillars have been cast up to lintel levels, with lintel reinforcements placed on and firmly hooked at the joints.
Windows openings have also been clearly marked out, save for a couple of them and a door opening which unavoidably fell in the position of an old wall..they will be opened up after the walls are firmly secured.

Today..we're removing the unnecessary wall and moving the debris away from site.
I'm optimistic we can as well begin excavations for the new walls needed ASAP.

ITbomb:
That was fast, well it should be when money is available
You said you are yet to get the cost, that means you just mention the figure and it is provided

Pity the man had to die before the building was renovated

Sorry for the delayed response ITbomb..yea, funds were available as at when I needed it.
we spent just a bit over #3m on it.

I must commend the doggedness and commitment of the guys working with me here..they deserve some real accolades.
Would be going off site today or tomorrow for some other engagements, so it means next updates would most probably be at the finished stage.

Lol..
Nigerian police, those lots are wonderful.

They will park an "Anti-crime" patrol van in an abandoned filling station while operating a roadblock where vehicles pay between #50-#200 to pass.

This their number one position has been retained with vigor and pride.

Hum2020:
@josnac you are doing wonderful job there but I may ask how much is total cost of this building work and how is the cost of Labour's down in the east thanks

Thank you Sir.
To your question, we are yet to recalculate how much that has been spent so far..being a structure in the village, some materials like wood and sand were sourced locally at a far cheaper rate than what was in the initial estimates.
Now for labour in the East, I would say its relatively low based on how I work with my team. But I'm certain it differs from contractor to contractor.
