If anyone want to argue about favoritism lets focus on the goalkeeping department in order to end the bad trend especially with these home/afro based keeprs.. Let's not distract ourselves with outfield players. Our goalkeeper coaches are very lazy. Why are they not scouting the NPFL and NNL?

Against Korea, Josh Onomah was the best Nigerian player that day.. Ejaria even got a yellow card for an unnecessary and reckless tackle. So far in this tournament, you can't say that he has been better than Lookman, Onomah, Tomori, or Ojo.. it's only him and Solanke that are playing below the hype.. especially Solanke..

Abeg,there is nothing special about Ejaria. Dude plays like a 5yrs old. Unnecessary dribble and wayward passes. He has no vision. All those English groomed players never impress me,just few.

Having watched like 4 matches of England U20 team at this on going FIFA U20 world cup,
I will like to rate these Nigerian players:
1.) Ademola Lookman ~ 9 is the best among them.
2.) Onomah Josh ~ 8 had his best match against the
Korean team
3.) Fikayo Tomori ~ 7.5
4.) Seyi Ojo ~ 7
5.) Ovie Ejare ~ 6.5 too much sideway passes
6.) Dominic Solanke ~ 5.5 just average... Nothing special

The problem is when we think a player has done better at the club level and should be considered ahead of another right away. Guys there are several factors in play. Invitation and dropping of a player is not based SOLELY on club performance.

Personally as a coach, if Osimhen impresses me in camp, the likelihood of me inviting him again is higher than inviting someone who JUST STARTED shining at club level. Coaches know that club form does not automatically translate internationally, which is why they give it time, until they are convinced they should give a new player a chance. Guys lets not forget that Mikel Agu has been in form all season. He just got his chance. But Orji just started shining..

If some of us here were coaches our player invitation list will change drastically every time because we go by the players performance after every club match. na wa oh.

And to the Ajagun matter. It is one thing to say he deserves a call up. It's yet another to say he is better than someone who have been flawless for SE, just because he seems more versatile. If Okocha were playing today will you say Ajagun is better because he is more versatile? Rohr may not need that versatility in the team at the moment. A jack of all trade is not necessarily a master of any. Versatility does not always mean better. Yes Ajagun could be an option in the future. I'm not saying he is not good enough. Just because he is #10 in his club does not mean if he were in SE right now he will be considered ahead of Mikel, Iwobi, or Etebo in that role. We are talking about Roda JC for God sake. Can you name another player in that team? Are they even still in the Eredivisie?

Oga, Lookman, Solanke etc are bamboozing big big teams at the U20 in the English Jersey which we have never seen before.

They are the soul and engine of the team.

They are equally or better than some of our player if given the chance to prove themselves.
