correctly, he could have easily broken his back because he had jumped so high off the ground.

Visa was approved without requesting for any documents and I only had a valid U.K. 2 year multiple visa at the time and an expired US visa from my post study work days

Yes you need to pay 40 dollars to get the visa and then the hotel stay will be free provided your stop over is longer than 8 hours for economy class and longer than 6 hours for business class

you said US gives visa to people who have been refused UK all the time, that's my point and that is what is misleading. Getting a visa is about qualifying to meet the criteria for entry clearance, if you are not issued a visa it means you don't qualify enough to be granted and you try next time, not this your own perspective that you are taking it from.

And yes they do because us assess your application solely based on the merits of it not whether u have uk visa or uk refused you

My point was a uk visa disqualification doesn't directly lead to a us disqualification and vice- versa. And I think it was blatantly obvious, I do sincerely worry if you cannot grasp that
Some applicants tend to think oh cos uk gave me visa us will give and vice versa for if uk refuse then us will refuse.
The poster was worried if his is refusal will lead to a uk refusal and I was clearly pointing that out.

My question is Can I apply for Uk visa renewal now? Won't it look strange that am applying for renewal days after us visa denial? I'm entitled to paid leave to any country of my choice in my office and decided since I was denied the US visa, I can always go back to my usual London for vacation

Yes you can apply, both countries have different immigration policies, that's why u didn't get us visa automatically because u have uk visa,US give visa to people who have been refused UK all the time

Also note there is no such thing as Uk renewal, it's a completely new visa application every time you apply, it is judged based on the merits at the time of application, quite different from US drop box, you have to provide all documents you did to get initial UK visa and even more if your circumstances have changed

I guess it was inevitable the timing couldn't have been any worse
The irony of it is that pmb won't face as stiff an opposition as gej did when he attempted to remove it, because Nigerians are now wise.
Shame cos it feels like we lost those intervening years from gej attempt to now.

My Very good friend has an interview soon, he is married about 2 years now, his wife has been travelling to America since she was a child, however he has never travelled out of Nigeria, well just Ghana, question is can he take his wife's passport along with him to the embassy, or a photocopy of her visa pages, or just a mention of the name at the embassy would suffice
