@ Risingphoenix, since I started reading this thread today, I told myself, I must finish it.
I didn't expect her story to end the way it did. Death is inevitable. May she rest in peace.
Divorce isn't easy. She must be strong. When I have issues with my spouse, I hardly concentrate. We tell each other worse things but the anger doesn't last more than 24 hours.
Hmmmmmmmmm. Her health issues made every thing complicated. Sex would have bonded you both. Communication, friendship and God would have allowed you both sail through difficult moments.
People grief differently. My hubby doesn't express his emotions but we have gone through difficult moments. One thing that kept us going was NOT GIVING UP ON EACH OTHER. I have a medical condition too. I have been married for 10 years.
A piece of advice. Please don't marry someone that will maltreat your kids. If possible put them in a good boarding school or leave them with your family.
Your story hurts badly. Life must continue. May it always be well with us.
Please accept my condolence |

olabrinks: 1. Maintain your weight whilst your young. Not watching your weight will give you series of problem later on in life. Exercise and eat properly.
2. Dont be with someone who’s family do not like you. It is an everlasting battle that you will eventually lose.
3. You will not gain respect trying to please everyone. Stand up for yourself and always speak your mind.
4. Only share things when you are established. People are envious and will try to destroy your plans if you share too quickly.
5. Listen more than you talk.
6. Social skills are paramount for getting further in life. You must learn how to make solid connections.
7. Elders do not know it best
8. Confidence is more valuable than looks
9. Your family doesn’t always want the best for you
10. No one will values you until you hit it big.
11. Be careful with alcohol. It is addictive and very accessible, probably the worst drug out there.
These are just some of mine, feel free to contribute some of yours. Bravo |

The same thing happen to someone's grandfather, then the father and now the son. Like grandfather had only one son, father had only one son. Pastor Chris could have demonstrated the faith by going to an isolation center in UK (not naija isolation center o ) laying hands on the COVID19 patients with no glove or mask. Then wait for 14 days to say this he had said.
Action speaks louder than voice Faith is more practical than verbal expression. I stand with you my dear |

Futurejoy: In my year 1, I had about N500 with me, my last card, no allowance yet, no helper...die hard broke. I just arrange myself and stepped out of the hostel, I saw a woman selling avocado pears at a very affordable price and I bought N200, bought garri N100 and sachet water . I had N200 left Incase of emergency pending when my allowance will come towards the next weekend. Ladies and gentlemen, I drank garri and pear for like 3 days until one of my roommates came and collected the spoon from me to taste the combo and was like “ why do you like this pear and garri so much, let me taste it”.....I just smiled weirdly and said I loved it cos it was my favorite (favorite bawo? Me that hunger want to kill).Later that day I just took my card and went to the ATM to check if I would see any money, low and behold, 12k was in my account (the first cut of my allowance). I was happy so I called my dad to thank him and ask when he sent the money, he said he sent it days ago but didn’t bother to call me...I was speechless. I just ran to buy chicken and plaintain, to replenish the lost nutrients in my body. Another one was when I went for Saturday fixed class by one old “wicked “professor in my 300l . After 3 hours lecture he gave us 1 hour to go out for lunch, everybody went out and I was the only one in class with him. He later noticed me and called me, he asked me why i didn’t go out. I told him I had nothing on me to eat so what was the essence of going out. He asked what I wanted to eat and how much it would cost, I told him N300, this man removed N1000 to give to me but told me to bring back his change on N500 . I told him ok, I left and went to eat, on my way back to class I heard he had dismissed the class so I went to his office to give him the balance. I saw him outside and he said he wanted to see if I was a sincere person, he told me to keep the balance and that was it. I stopped seeing him as a wicked lecturer from that day. Wow. I am touched |

Family › Re: HELP! My Brother Is Too Dull by Joyfulgal: 1:17am On May 30, 2020 |
Gundel001: Hi good day my fellow Nairalander please I will really need your experience about this issue. Please help me read to the end as it is a little bit long.
My junior brother is 14 years old and to be sincere I haven’t seen anybody as dull as him. I don’t know if it is natural but I just can’t understand why someone at that age could still be struggling with very simple arithmetic. My brother can’t write 1 – 150 correctly at 14.
He seems too dull; note he attends one of the best private school around our area, though I know you might say maybe education is not his way but even if you want to drop out from school you should know some basic things like money, time, multiplication and so on but my brother doesn’t know anything I must say, even to write his name correctly is a problem. It is making everyone unhappy lot of money is being spent on lesson teachers and other things for him still no improvement.
I am a student of one of the top federal University in Nigeria same as my other siblings even at both secondary and undergraduate level we were always above average so I can’t say his problem is genetic. I really wants to know what is the problem with him nairalanders. After I finished secondary school I once taught some pupils in primary school though there were dull ones too there but with time I could see improvement unlike my brother i always try to teach him from time to time but it kind of frustrating as he doesn’t even seems like he will ever grab anything and he doesn’t behave like he wants to learn anything.
He makes it seems as if he is not interested book or arithmetic at all …we all tried talking to him endless time to always read any time he his less busy but he never does except he is being forced.
He rarely talks, he loves to keep to himself always, he doesn’t have interest in anything unlike we the others that are die hard football fans, most times my mom will tell him to even go out to play and mingle he will not still want to go, he prefer to stay at home seating all day without reading or doing anything, even if it is to draw or play football he wont.
This matter is not making everyone happy at home we don’t even know the solution to his problem again, as in imagine having a child that is 14 years old that doesn’t know the difference between 17 and 71 it is just so bad…..
We don’t know if his case is mental or spiritual. please nairalanders I know there are child experts in the house or anybody who have experienced something like this before what do you think is the problem and possible solutions to the problem your contributions are welcome.
Please help me push this pleaseeeeee It sounds like autism. Does he interact freely? Is he aggressive when he can't express himself? Any speech difficulties or disorder? |
