PhonesMTN To Purchase Visaphone Soon... by joywendy(op):
Just saw the article, decided to share. The news is everywhere now

INDICATIONS emerged yesterday that MTN
Group Ltd has started the process of buying
Visafone Communications Ltd of Nigeria as it
seeks to expand in its largest market, according
to two people familiar with the matter.
MTN, Africa's biggest mobile phone company,
has been exploring acquisitions as it seeks to
boost revenue from data outside South Africa,
where Vodacom Group Ltd has more subscribers.

According to Bloomberg, Johannesburg-based
MTN had 59.9 million subscribers in Nigeria at
the end of 2014, more than a quarter of its 223
million total across 22 countries. Visafone had
about 2.2 million customers as of December,
according to data compiled by the Nigerian
Communications Commission.

A spokeswoman for MTN's Nigerian unit in
Lagos, Mrs. Funmilayo Onajide, in a text
message yesterday, said: "We will send a holding
statement at the appropriate time."
Another top official of the GSM firm, who
preferred anonymity because he was not
authorised to speak on the process, confirmed to
The Guardian that it was true that MTN Nigeria
was eyeing Visafone.

"It is true. We are talking. The deal is likely to
work and we shall come out to make official
statement about the deal... soonest", he stated.
Meanwhile, efforts to get the Corporate
Communications Executive of Visafone, Joseph
Oshiagale to comment, proved abortive as his
mobile phone numbers were switched off as at
press time.

Visafone, a Lagos-based communication firm, is
a wireless network provider founded in 2007 by
Jim Ovia, a Nigerian businessman who also
created Zenith Bank Plc. The people asked not to
be identified because the deal has yet to be
announced. They didn't give the value of the
transaction.

Indeed, the Code Division Multiple Access
(CDMA) operator, Visafone, has remained the
only surviving player in the category, loosing
markets to the fierce power of the GSM players,
including MTN Nigeria, Globacom, Airtel and
Etisalat.

RomanceRe: 7 Philosophical Questions To Ask In A Relationship by joywendy(f):
seriously? undecided

out of boredom i have decided to answer your not so philosophical questions;

1. It is not a must for the guy to pay the transport fare, if the guy wants to pay then he can. It depends on the both parties involved

2. Why do guys need ladies? undecided ( this is not a question that should be asked on any sane grounds)

3. How does what a lady have in her bag disturb you? Btw not all ladies have a make up kit in their bags undecided

4. Wetin concern me with that?

5 and 6. Not all men and ladies say that. (Big generalization here)

7. It is a matter of perspective, some people cant differentiate between the truth and a lie. Some will rather accept the lie than the truth due to "blind trust" or "love". It is a choice, same with guys too.

In conclusion too much generalizations and stereotypical thinking everywhere. This is not philosophical in anyway, i think you need to re examine you philosophy note.

Thanks.

PoliticsRe: Opinion: Goodluck Jonathan Is The 'Mandela' Of Nigeria. by joywendy(f): 1:33am On Apr 03, 2015
What came to my attention though, was when
someone -who shall remain anonymous for
privacy sakes- stated that, and I quote
"There is no difference between Goodluck and
Mandela." And even had the gall to state that
Goodluck Jonathan had surpassed Mandela. It
shocked me more when I saw several people
agreeing to the statement.
My expression to such was as though I had
swallowed a sour lemon, or I had chewed
paracetamol tablets raw and proceeded to rinse
my mouth with bitter-leaf water.
@ bold grin grin grin

if Gej is Mandela
then i m Martin Luther grin

silly comparison by that person in your post.

some people are just very silly and very ignorant....

As we know Nigerians love to over hype anything. Gej knows what he is doing riding on the sentiments of Nigerians to boost his own ego.

Now most Nigerians would probably forget all the bad he has done just for that single act alone. It is quite unfortunate that politicians have turned most people to pawns in their political warfare.
PoliticsRe: Surround Yourself With ‘Right’ People, Mbaka Tells Buhari by joywendy(f): 1:17am On Apr 03, 2015
nonsense!!

Nigerians like to over hype what is not meant to be hyped.

so what if his prophecies came true?

it was obvious with the way things where going that buhari might end up winning, i don't get why people are falling for this.

To the advise he gave that's something anyone could advise any leader anywhere, nothing special.

If he is truly a prophet why didn't "holyspirt" reveal to him where those chibok girls are? why didn't it tell us where the boko haram folks are hiding?

prophecy ko prophecy ni angry

RULES OF CASTLING

since we understand how to castle we have to understand that there are rules to castling. you don't just carry your rook and king and then say you wanna castle with them.

here are the rules:

1.All the squares between the king and rook must be empty

2. The king and the the rook must have never been moved during the game for castling to take to
place.

So if you have moved your king, forget it mehn. There is no more hope for you to castle. Same with the rook, though you may still have a lil chance of castling with the rook as there are two rooks. if you cant castle with one castle with the other. as long as the king hasn't been moved

3.You cannot castle when the king is under attack i.e under check...even if you haven't moved either pieces.

meaning you cant castle your way outta check
You have to block the check or move the king out of check depending on the situation. By moving the king, castling has been nullified.

4. King cant castle if castling would put him in check or under attack.

5. You can't castle when your opponent's piece is attacking any of the castling squares.

pics to be uploaded soon

>>>1st pic referring to the 4th and 5th rule as we can see that the dark square Black Bishop is attacking the
square (the highlighted square) the White King
should rest on if White castled to the King's side. so it is impossible to castle to the king side in this situation but still possible to castle to the queen side.

>>>>2nd pic referring to the 3rd rule. the king is under attack by the Rook. so he can't castle

>>>>3rd pic referring to the 1st rule....at the queen side there is a knight blocking the king thereby preventing him from castling.

>>>>4th pic in reference to the 2nd rule...
