I’ve chosen to stay out of this situation, act indifferent, and allow my elder sister face the consequences of her decisions. I refuse to be dragged into what I did not start.

At this point, I’m honestly relieved that I’m not at home witnessing the unnecessary stress and attitude my elder sister is putting up with, all in the name of “being different.” I have a lot on my plate, and I cannot carry anyone’s extra drama.

Now, about my cousin sister who has been staying in our house — some of you may remember that she was caught stealing at her previous job. Surprisingly, my elder sister never informed her father about it. I only found out recently because of what is happening now.

On Sunday, her father showed up without informing us. I suspect the girl knew he was coming because she kept quiet but was expecting him. I got back from church and met him in the house. He started talking about unclaimed assets and asking about my late father’s belongings. I excused myself because the conversation was unnecessary.

Later, I walked in on him and my sister discussing the feeding contribution she requested from my cousin. That was the first time I heard about it. The girl said she sent my sister 5k, but my sister rejected it because she wanted 10k — and mind you, the girl earns 50k.
When she saw me, she immediately asked if she could send the money to me instead since we had outstanding electricity and waste disposal bills. I agreed. She sent the money, and I paid the bills right there in their presence so they would understand that 10k hardly covers anything in the house.

She only started working last month and claimed she received 28k this month. I kept quiet because I’m not the one who brought her in. Later this morning, before I left for work, someone told my sister that the girl was complaining outside, saying my sister “angered her” by asking for 10k. This same girl forgot that my younger sister, who earns 30k, also contributes 10k without issues.

We also heard that she’s befriending a married man with children around her former workplace. At this point, nothing surprises me. Whoever believes they can “change” a stubborn 19-year-old who drinks gin like water should go ahead.

This evening just few moments ago she started shouting and talking to her.
