Thanks, you need to go to "Data Usage" and turn on "Data saver" (I think this is the process, however, I don't have a tecno with me).

Try checking your Android OS to see if you can identify any unwanted apps. These could be viruses, or simply buggy or unwanted apps that simply install themselved without your knowing. Here's what you have to do:

1. Boot into safe mode
2. Search through your apps (go to Settings > App Manager > Downloaded Apps)
3. Uninstall any suspicious apps (or anything that shouldn't belong there - be careful not to uninstall a default app that is required by your OS).
4. Remove the Device Administrator Status of the uninstalled app: Go to Settings > Security > Device Administrator. Here, you will see all the apps with this status. Simply look for the app and uncheck the box which grants it this status.

Also, did you do any updates recently? Bear in mind that higher data consumption doesn't mean that you have a virus, it can simply mean that your phone needs more data, which sometimes is caused by updates.

If some of you know the amount of money local RCCG parishes in Nigeria remits monthly to Daddy G.O, you will shout blue murder. Churches are now big business centres that make huge profit for the owners. Sadly, the last effort to regulate their operation by FRC failed and up till today, they operate without paying tax or any form of scrutiny of their financial records.

Tithing will remain controversial in Christianity as the two main people who will follow their teachings in Christianity, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and Apostle Paul didn't categorically teach tithing. Jesus in all His teachings only mentioned it once to rebuke a Pharisee and neither Apostle Paul nor the early apostles mentioned it either.

Pastors will always urge their members to continue to tithe as it is the main source of income for most churches and actually if done faithfully there are blessings attached to it. But the truth is that there is no curse whatsoever to non-tithers, this is the part pastors would not admit.

From my time on Nairaland, I think the issue with most Nairalanders is that most of them are city dwelling. i.e they are mostly found in (or live in) Lagos, Ogun, Abuja, PH, Benin, Asaba, Owerri, Calabar etc.

The general cost of living in these places always affects their perspectives and sense of judgement about life in Nigeria generally.

For example, because N1000 can't cook a decent pot of soup in Lagos, Abj, or Ph, no one elsewhere in Nigeria should/can claim to have made a decent pot of soup with 1k.

So with this mindset above, a man earning say 100k a month in Lagos and is still struggling to make ends meet, rent, fees etc would never believe an okada rider in a small town like say Obudu, has built a decent 3 bedroom flat.

They'll ask you was it built with sticks? But just like the Op stated, they only made use of mud blocks and cement to hold the blocks together and for pillars as the case may be. By the time the house is plastered and painted, you'll never know it wasn't built with cement blocks.

Same way if you tell them one can buy a half bag of potatoes for less than 1k in a town/village in Benue, they'll argue just because they can't in the City.

My point is, people earning way less than the op are doing just fine.

All I can say is "Nairalanders, please travel and see".
