Why would you tell such a blatant LIE huh
Oh! Today is actually 14th, I guess you are happy that the culprits that nearly pushed Nigeria to a national crisis bribed their way out with 5b when over a trillion was stolen?
What are the names of the so called 40 persons?

You are obviously just as uninformed and daft as the old soldier you are trying to package, otherwise you would have seen this =>

I hope you will take due note so as not to embarrass yourself further next time.

Again you show how clueless you are about how a democracy works. No wonder sha as you dey do follow follow like person wey get Cow Cloned Brain Syndrome, CCBS behind the former military DICTATOR who said at Mapo Hall, Ibadan in 2011 that he will give us true fiscal federalism as if he will have sole power to change our constitution.
Let us forget for the moment that he did not give us fiscal federalism when he was MAXIMUM ruler for two years angry

Firstly, the legislative is an INDEPENDENT arm of government.
Secondly, can you show us what the almost 50% "opposition" party members of both Houses have done to reduce their salary & allowances that make up this alleged 25% that you have DISTORTED into 75% to fool those who might also be afflicted bvy CCBS like you are shocked

Kai Buhari!!!
#Liberate-Lagos
I am very sure you didn't look properly before you quoted that post perhaps you think it was made by your fellow PDP hallelujah boys right?

Vanguard report of 14th January 2015 claim that 5b has been recovered from a scam of 2012?

is it not too much a coincidence that the money was just recovered today at the peak of electioneering?

By the way, the report said that over 40 persons were arrested in connection with the scam, don't they have names?

EFCC claimed that they charged them to court the ones they arrested in 2012, which Nigerian court asked them to release 5b to EFCC today?
abi, the evil people of PDP forgot that Jonathan's court is on strike, lol lol, lol.

You can do better than planting fake news online in cohort with your media dog Vanguard.

over 1 trillion naira scam and EFCC managed to settle for 5b and you are happy? no names of people in jail and you are happy?

Shame on you PDP scum!!

The world questions the massacre and our president did not say anything until he was campaigning, taking a swipe at his opponents. He finally said,he had given directives to the NSA to investigate the killings.

I hope he learns from France,17 died and the nations armed forces is at high alert with over 15000 troops defending schools and public places.
That is the leadership an average Nigerian deserve. Since they cannot reason beyond their stomach infrastructure, why give them good leaders?

Very true.
That is why he served under Abacha and subsequently canonised him as saint Abacha who did not steal our money, not so huh

Perhaps he was conveniently "unaware" of the LOOTING going on all around just the same way he CLAIMED he was unaware while billions were developing wings under his watch in PTF shocked
Though I don't expect you to have sense, Jonathan can be held responsible for what a Minister does, but a minister cannot be held responsible for what the president does.
Buhari under Abacha was not even a minister, he was chairman of a committee that functioned like an agency. what is his business with what Abacha is doing? his primary concern was PTF and he ran it so damn well.
If Jonathan executed half of PTF projects, he would get an automatic ticket back to Aso rock.

Took my time to read this epistle. And am more convinced that Buhari is not the man for this era. His time has indeed passed. How can this man cope with democratic processes, like the houses of assembly. You can see that he simply ruled by decrees and orders. This man will enter into a fisticuff with the judiciary oo. Heart attack loading .... and another Yar Ardua case in the making nio. Northerners shine ur eyes.asiwaju should have given us Fashola if he indeed loves this country.
Obasanjo ruled with decrees in 1978 and ruled with constitution in 1999, with full upper and lower houses.
Is it that you don't know that basic fact or you are menstruating while typing?

FELLOW NIGERIANS, IS THIS THE PRESIDENT YOU DESERVE?

May the Judgment of God not befall us and our families if with our votes we deliberately return a Govt of Hunger, corruption and death to the Nigerian people. Kindly distribute through your BBM and Whatsapp contacts, enough is enough!!

November 2014, Jonathan shocked Nigerians with the news that Boko haram has taken control of 6 towns in 4 LGA’s the height of incompetence in balkanizing the Nigerian state, a week later, Nigerians were blown away by series of austerity measures handed to them for their stupidity in 2011.

The naira was devalued at the pretext of drop in oil prices but Nigerians never asked why the Naira never appreciated when the oil price was increasing?
If the foreign reserve were not stolen, Nigeria would have weathered the storm for at least 6months like we did during the global melt down of 2004 and 2008, unfortunately, the incompetence of the Jonathan administration has brought grave consequence on the Nigerian people, Inflation and high cost of energy are likely consequences.

According to Will Ross of the BBC “He said he hoped a parliamentary investigation would also find out why the country's Excess Crude Account had fallen from $11.5bn to under $2.5bn in a year - arguing that Nigeria's savings are a vital buffer against any drop in the global oil price and without this "rainy day" account, the economy is vulnerable and exposed.

October 2014; Ladies and Gentlemen, the President of the Federal republic of Nigeria uses a militant Asari Dokubo for black market gun running, evident from the grounding and seizure of over $10m by the South African authorities.
September, 2014, The Nigerian Government admitted ferrying over $10m in a private jet for arms procurement, where do we draw the line between money laundering and arms procurement? I asked myself about the recent helos that was delivered by Russia recently if it was purchased in the same manner, agree with me or not, Jonathan is neck deep not just in corruption but money laundering.

August 2014: As a result of the unabated corruption in the Nigerian Military, Mutiny of July gave rise to Boko haram declaring a caliphate on Nigerian Soil, Gentlemen and Ladies, Jonathan Has once again made a history of Incompetence. Never in the history of Nigeria have we ceded territories to bandits.

July 2014: saw a president who went to sleep while neighboring West African countries battled with the Ebola virus, his negligence paid off when Patrick Sawyer brought the deadly virus to Nigeria unabated. Since August 2012, when the Ebola outbreak began, The Nigerian govt had no single emergency response plan in place.
$11m emergency fund and N480m budgeted for the control of infectious diseases in the 2013 budget never got to the Lagos state government, the Nigerian Ebola Epicenter.
Still in June, we saw the worst abuse of his Royal majesties powers when he barred APC Governors from attending a rally in Ekiti state with soldiers, meanwhile Boko Haram is still having a field day in the North.
The senate revealed to Nigerians how the president Mis appropriated over 685b kerosene subsidy fund

May 2014: left us with this shocking statement
“Jonathan, who was asked to comment on the allegations of corrupt practices leveled against some of his ministers, had said that nobody was above mistakes and that if he were to be acting based on reports on each of them, “no one will stay for more than six months in office.” Mere stealing we call corruption"

Still in the same month after the corrupt tales of embezzlement and diversion of military budget, the clueless one finally offered Amnesty to a terrorist group, the first of its kind, in the world.
An Indication that the Jonathan’s administration is run by a den of thieves.

April 2014: reminded us the climax of Jonathan’s administration where he went on a jamboree while book haram held over 200 young girls, hostage,
April never ended before the Dizeani madueke’s 10billion naira scam reached a climax.

March 2014: just before the centenary celebration where Abacha of all people was a beneficiary, scores of Innocent school children were murdered in Adamawa sate.

Feb 2014: saw the illegal suspension of the CBN Gov.at a time the nation was in dire need of foreign direct investment, the Kidnap of the president’s foster father is a realistic score card on his strides on security.
January 2014, a presidential committee was set up to investigate the October scandal of stella odua who came with a guilty verdict, yet she kept her job.

December 2013: ushered the yuletide of Obasanjo’s “before it is too late”, several corruption allegations and the extremism of the Jonathan’s administration, the impunity of plundering the people’ s common wealth and the tenacity of talking drums like Abati who have earned a reputation in insulting the sensibilities of Nigerians.10 bullet proof vehicles purchased by DICON for its top brass

November 2013: the CBN Governor raised an alarm that under Jonathan’s watch, the NNPC diverted $49billion dollars, fellow Nigerians, are we not tired of condoning corruption?

October 2013: ushered a month of corruption coronation in Jonathan’s camp, where the Aviation minister coerced the NCAA to purchase 2 fairly used armored 2008 BMW to the tune of $800,000 each.

September 2013: President Jonathan took a record breaking 600 men entourage for the UN General assembly in New york

August 2013: After the billions of dollars spent in revamping the nation’s airports, skytrax world airport ranking for Africa showed Nigeria didn’t make it to top 10 in Africa neither did it make it top 100th place in the world. Whereas Ethiopia and Mauritania made it to position 9th and 8th respectively, what a shame.

July 2013: transparency international rated Nigeria as the 8th most corrupt country in the world.

June 2013: World Bank appraised him thus;

“Nevertheless, improvements in social welfare indicators have been much slower than would be expected in the context of this growth. Poverty reduction and job creation have not kept pace with population growth, implying social distress for an increasing number of Nigerians. Progress toward the fulfillment of many of the Millennium Development Goals has been slow, and the country ranked 153 out of 186 countries in the 2013 United Nations Human Development Index” the World Bank said.

May 2013: The president after wasting tax payer’s money on an entourage as long as the third mainland bridge went sleeping while his foreign affairs minister represented him in his presence during the AU summit in Addis ababa.
Just outside President Goodluck Jonathan's office sat 17 ambulances, just in case he or one of his aides fell ill. They were seldom if ever used.

No actual health-care facility nationwide had as many, and in fact a few still have none at all. But as soon as a Nigerian newspaper took a photo of the ambulances and published a story about them, they suddenly disappeared -- probably to an underground garage.

March, 2013: we witnessed the height of moral bankruptcy when Mr President granted presidential pardon to the biggest criminal in the history of our democracy, Alamesigha to prepare him for a senatorial seat.

February 2013: amidst the short fall in crude prices, the president smuggled into the 2013 budget a 2bn appropriation fund for the office of the first lady

February 2013: the office of the presidency denied vehemently that the first lady was on vacation in Germany only for them to organize a survival party with tax payer’s money. Is this the kind of leader you want to hold to his words?

In January 2013: the erst while madam due process and former minister for education challenged the charlatans of jonathans’ administration to a debate on accountability of $67b as expected, honorable cowards and pen thieves, absconded as usual

November 2012: President Jonathan approved 2.2bn naira for the construction of a banquet hall in the villa. At a time our debt profile was all time high

As commander in chief, he stood dumb while a military helicopter was used for "kabu-kabu" at oronto douglas father’s burial that error in judgment alone claimed the life of a sitting Governor. and the most brilliant NSA Nigeria has ever produced.

October 2012: blatantly refusing to appeal the ICJ’s decision on ceding bakassi, thereby throwing Millions of Bakkasi indigenes into pandemonium

refusing to cut down on foreign trips and cost of Governance, contrary to his Nationwide address of 7th Jan 2012.

October 2012: Mr president’s administration spent 1.5 billion to patch the 3rd mainland bridge, 4 months later, triple of that amount was expended again on maintenance alone, Talk about waste and incompetence

August 2012 : He said our foreign reserve is 42billion usd , is that not only on iweala's notepad?
How can you have external debt of 48bn usd and come home to deceive us that we have reserves?
How much services that 48bn plus interest annually? Nearly 25% of 48bn.

August 2012: Under his watch militants earn 10% of the Nation's revenue, $22.5m, $9m and $12.5m for tompolo, Ateke and Asari as national honors.

He twisted facts during the Independence Day speech on his fight on corruption, in contrast to what the transparency international claimed.
By august 2012, 2012 budget implementation was just 13%

over 5, ooo Nigerian lives gone, Mr president is still trading words and negotiating with boko haram, we remain grateful that a quasi state of emergency came to be, at least I cant imagine an SOE where the State Govs sit tight to control state funds while the FG fight their battle.

July 2012: its 3yrs gone and he is yet to commission from scratch a new power plant worst still fired the only human being in his cabinet who knows his onions in the power sector.

July 2012: Mr President earned a congratulatory message for implementing local content policy by importing 200 luxury brands at the cost of over 13.5 million each for a 4 day first ladies summit. While our manufacturing industries beg for patronage.

June 2012: Almost all teaching hospitals in Nigeria have no functional dialysis machine, the most sought of this equipment cost just 5m naira. Statistics has it that more than 60,000 Nigerians die yearly of a kidney related ailment, however, he jets out with his cohorts to seek medical help elsewhere.

ferma is seriously patching federal highways with a budget of over 80 billion naira, there is no coordination between, the MND, NDDC and Federal ministry of works on road maintenance, same contract is awarded over and over before the job is done.

JUNE 2012: Under his watch, the giant of oil and gas reserves is undergoing its worst energy crisis in the world.

tanker drivers alone can cripple his supply network as they wish not to talk of ordinary Niger republic coming to our rescue via imports.

In case you have not heard, Nigeria is very close to Afghanistan on security progress under Jonathan's watch.

June 2012: Education is in crisis. With adult literacy at 57 per cent, overall illiteracy at 66 per cent and more than 10 million out of the 30 million children of primary school age not in school, no serious government should be comfortable. When 40 million adults in a population of 170 million are illiterate, the country is ranked 161 out of 180 countries in the United Nations Comparative Index of Literacy 2012, and has an unemployment rate of 23.7 per cent,
it’s no longer news that only 26% of school leavers gain admission into the universities and only 5% are employed after school thanks to ASUU’s 6 months strike.

June 2012: Mr president’s economic blind men have blessed us with all time high of 37.5% inflation though his mickey mouse cbn governor is still claiming 28%, wondering what he will be claiming now that all bankers are at home, naira devalued, unemployment on the rise etc He still maintains a single digit inflation on paper, I dey laugh.

Mr president is the only Nigerian president that has not initiated a successful programme even Abacha did better with ptf while IBB with FSP and MAMSA, Mr president is still confused with ''YOU WIN''and SURE-P, with zero benefit to the Nigerian people.
on that same vein, Nigeria has the second record high job cuts within the last 2yrs, if in doubt ask the bankers and manufacturing industries.
before his ascension into power, the naira was in a sorry state of 150 to 1 dollar today, Jonathan has handed us an unstable 182 to 1 dollar

June 2012: The dana crash is a testimony that Mr president’s aviation is comatose, not even the attorney general could challenge the allegations of the dana staff in court, in a national disaster of that magnitude?
The girl could have served as a prime witness in a class action against dana
Less than 6months of inconclusive investigations, DANA air hit the Tarmac again.

Still on military, Nigeria has the most under educated junior military officers, before you ask how, Mr president is too lazy to ask him self why imo with highest national examination enrollments still have the least NDA and police academy enrollments, while borno and zamfara as educationally less privileged, have higher quota than Delta and Anambra put together in military enrollments. Nepotism and corruption at its best
Mr President is the only head of state in the world whose wife is a ministry of its own.

January 2012: Under Mr president’s watch, a 250bilion subsidy programme rose to 2 trillion naira yet no arrest, no conviction, no sack, the best miserable Nigerians could get was an AWOL attorney general after 7days of protests. Height of incompetence and corruption.

Mr President is the only president in the world whose parliament gulps 75% of the national budget as alleged by the CBN Gov. yet they still soak themselves in $625m bribery scandal.
Jonathan has not even initiated let alone fulfilling a single campaign promises except the one that he needs to surround himself with brain dead women in his cabinet.

Nigerians say thank you Sir, for your 6 wasted years of leadership.

VOTE GOODLUCK JONATHAN AT YOUR OWN RISK!! AFTER VOTING HIM, DON'T COMPLAIN WHEN YOU VACATE YOUR DUPLEX TO LIVE IN A UN PROVIDED TENT AS A RESULT OF INSECURITY.
Your analysis is full of scenarios that ignores many factors that have affected and continued to affect oil prices in the international market. The US alone has added 4 million new barrels of crude oil per day to the global market since 2008. (Global crude production is about 75 million barrels per day, so this is significant.)
Let me start with a clear warning!! I don't have time for peeps who are here for free classes and probably lack cognitive comprehension ability, the post you are mutilating was actually meant for someone else not you, for you to join the discourse if that is actually your mission, you need to have a minimum of an average IQ because once you sound like Terry G aka BrainX you will get no further response from me.

Back to the subject, on the post you mutilated, these were my exact words

"Saudi sees the US shale oil as big threat that will most likely push away their North American clients, to them they will like the price to drop to $50/bbl, which will make shale oil unattractive"
How can I make the above submission and you say I ignored the US boom? did you really read the post or do you have comprehension issues like the others before you?

Up until very recently, however, that US oil boom had surprisingly little effect on global prices. That's because, at the exact same time, geopolitical conflicts were flaring up in key oil regions. There was a civil war in Libya . Iraq was a mess. The USand EU slapped oil sanctions on Iran and reduced its oil exports. Those conflicts took more than 3
million barrels per day off the market.
please correct yourself, the civil war in Libya though raging for years just affected their production output recently(mid last year), the fact that Boko haram is tearing the NE part of Nigeria apart doesn't mean that economic activities have stopped in the south, that is exactly the scenario that was playing out in Libya before few months ago when the conflict mounted a bigger stage.

The US shale oil has always been a threat because every producer knows that conflicts don't last forever, here is an excerpt of forecast made
by Bloomberg as back as 2011, it peaked an ave of $83/bbl, far less than the supposed over $100/bbl obtainable bench mark.
note that the 2011 forecast was actually made in 2010

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-10-13/u-s-s-oil-price-forecast-increased-to-83-for-next-year-on-growth-outlook.html

If the forecast for this present doom has been looming since 2010, How can you say "up until recently"? it has always been there and serious countries know that except for one governed by a dumb president.

Fast forward to mid-2014, the dynamics have changed;
1. Conflicts in many of these oil producing countries are beginning to ease out. For instance, In July, Libyan rebels opened two key export terminals, Es Spider and Ras Lanuf, that had been shut down for a year. Libyan exports rose unexpectedly. (They have since fallen again as conflicts have flared up, but that's been offset by rising production from Iraq, which is also getting its oil back online.)
What is your point here? Libya came online Oct 2014, went off Jan, 2015, at a time they were expecting to ramp up production to 1.2mbbls/d, it is no news, everybody is aware.

2. companies in the United States using techniques like fraking and horizontal drilling to extract oil from shale formations in North Dakota and Texas. And even In Canada where energy companies are heating Alberta's gooey oil sands with steam to extract usable crude. All these pointing to the fact the biggest consumers have become the biggest producers and have no need to buy more oil or at least drastically reduce demand, oil prices expectedly came crashing.
grin grin ;DThat is exactly the US shale oil threat everybody is talking about, the shale oil is extracted using a process called "Fracking" not really "Fraking" like you put it, it is a hot blend of sand, water and chemicals at high pressure.
Horizontal drilling is actually called "Directional drilling" here, we use it in Nigeria, contractors like Schlumberger will tell you more, you sound like you are typing off a textbook. grin grin

About your demand drop claims, you are right, but how significant is it in the scheme of events? ie where you should hinge your argument.
If you think that Demand has fallen drastically, you should be able to tell us countries who dropped their quota and by what margin?
Just like we have been able to clearly identify Libya off and on supply, US shale boom and the Saudi, production rump.

3. Unfortunately, even the almighty OPEC's influence has greatly been reduced by market share politics giving these developments. Looking at the jostle for oil market share going on between OPEC's member state, there is very little Nigeria can do as countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait and their likes have advantages that countries like Nigeria, Venezuela and even non-member State like Russia do not have:
Now this is the crux of the discussion, it bites my marrow when you say there is nothing we or any other OPEC nations can do. you seem not to understand that the Chairman of OPEC is a Libyan whose country is in turmoil, hence, he is a huge Liability for the other members, the reason Iran, Nigeria or Venezuela (being the hardest hit in this crisis) should have done something about that.
Venezuela and Iran, understandable due to foreign sanctions but Nigeria's lack of a comprehensive foreign policy, is inexcusable.

Refer to this thread I made in Oct 2014; https://www.nairaland.com/1953877/these-6-countries-screwed-oil

There in, I was able to highlight countries that will be hardest hit, are they not the victims today?
what you need to learn from that is that, there is nothing happening in the industry today that is an accident, it is sardonic to say the least that Nigerians could not see the glaring betrayal and incompetence of Mr president on this issue,
(just like Ebola whose WHO alert was posted in August 2012, Mr president and Onyebuchi chukwu went golfing with the budgeted over 450m for two consecutive years for control of infectious diseases, till Patrick Sawyer took 6 Nigerian lives and psychologically damaged many, Nigeria hadn't a single infra red thermometer in our biggest international airport. Today, Nigerians are happy for him that he controlled Ebola when it is obvious, it wasn't supposed be here in the first place)

I am for the production cut, and like Buhari has hinted, other world leaders are going for it.

Saudi oil Minister visited Venezuela (9th in the world) and Mexico (10th in the world) recently, you think it is a coincidence?
Venezuela president Maduro just left Saudi few days ago, another coincidence too?
Maduro is visiting UAE (8th in the world) and Algeria (15th in the world) before month end, coincidence too?

This is a quote from the Venezuelan Govt after the meet with Riyal;

"The Venezuelan government said in a statement that “we agreed to work to recover the market and oil prices with state policies between the two energy powerhouses.” It provided no details."
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/industry-news/energy-and-resources/venezuelas-maduro-seeks-support-from-saudi-arabia-on-oil-prices/article22405292/

The Venezuelan President just echoed what Buhari said, that something can be done, is Maduro stvpid too? Because Jonathan got a PhD with Expo and tells you, nothing can be done, you believe him and condemn people who can at least try to do something?

I even went further in my penultimate submission to state that this is the right time for the OPEC leadership to woo putin, considering his pariah status in the EU.

If the Producing giants are lobbying to get it right, what has Nigeria done since the inception of the crisis? who is Nigeria lobbying? who is Nigeria holding talks with? when we get to the next round of this disaster being import cuts and food shortages, you will say, "hey! don't blame the president" yet he is sitting dumb like an Oracle in Aso rock doing nothing.

a. Small population to continue oil funded social programs, welfare packages and subsidies in their countries and keep citizens from protesting.
I know, this is Putin's strategy, what has it got to do with the discussion?

b. Huge exchange reserve to cushion the effects of low prices to sustain the "price war" for a long period of time as they wait for the cost of the technologies fuelling "tight oil" boom to rise to an unattractive level; might never happen or at least not any time soon.
Who stopped Nigeria from piling up huge savings when the price was good? OBJ an old illiterate farmer from the 2000-2003 boom, saved up so much that he paid up all our foreign debts to the tune of $12b, he launched the NIPP to the tune of $16b, (a foundation every administration is building on today, as a matter of fact, NIPP is the only hope Nigeria has to get electricity right) and still have $68b, in Forex cash for a day like today, Your PhDumb Jonathan, has zero national project, he could not save a kobo? he could not pay off any debt? he feasted on the reserves like a vulture and you expect a sane man like me to clap for him? oh! please.

c. Massive foreign-exchange reserves to finance budget deficits and continue to sustain government plans in these countries. All these luxuries we don't have, fact.
Who told you it is a luxury? why does tiny Norway with superb infrastructure, oil production of paltry 1.9mbbls have foreign reserve in form of a Sovereign wealth fund to the tune of over $700b, with a tiny population of 5m people?
And you think it is a luxury for a Jonathan with over 2.5mbbls of cluelessness, don't provoke me abeg!

The idea of rallying member state to reduce oil production will only see us cede more market shares to the likes of Saudi Arabia, Iran, Kuwait, Russia and their likes who should have taken the front seat of making such moves but are reluctant because they fear they will lose their share of the already dwindling oil market. Saudi Arabia for instance, argued that even if they cut down production, prices will still fall, and they will lose market share, they pointed out how it did not help them in the 80s when a similar situation happened.
Stop saying what you read from text books, one country cannot just wake up and cut production, as a matter of fact, all OPEC nations cannot do it, because this challenge though not new, needs to be handled with some tact and finesse.
If you pay attention, you will notice that nations pushing for the cut are not only OPEC members, they are trying to lobby both OPEC and non OPEC members.
The issue now is that formerly, OPEC who is in control of nearly 40% of the world output used to negotiate as a block, but the directionless of the present leadership has made the lobbying very difficult and that is where Nigeria, Venezuela or Iran would make a difference.
Even if Saudi wants to do a price war with the US and feel like an OPEC lord, Russia in OPEC will make OPEC not miss Saudi rather will consolidate their influence with over 1mbbls. For now, it is not necessary because most member States were all prepared except Nigeria.
Big Shame on Jonathan!!

Nigeria can not afford to put itself in the position you are proposing because our national budget is still heavily reliant on that 2.8 million barrels per day you are trying to experiment with in the comfort of your arm chair critiquing. Even Russia that has about 50% of its budget being funded by oil revenue can not afford such an idealistic "price war" now with the US shale oil proponents, that's the truth. The issue here goes beyond oversimplifying dynamics and throwing blames around like you really believe a Buhari government has some superior bargaining antics to force the hands of other member states who also have to face economic backlash and prevailing economic realities in their climes.

Again, the proposal of feeding and giving stipends at this trying times is the most brainless idea ever to be suggested by anyone who is watching what is going on with even strong economies in Europe. APC is playing to the gallery and not coming up with any workable solution, that is the truth, it does not matter how you try to grandstand for them.

The focal point was not about the statistics of Nigerians with bank account, 80%? oh! please, that was grossly exaggerated however, the context for which banks was mentioned is that Banks, FRSC, Telecom Operators, Immigration and ordinary INEC, all have data bases of Nigerians to a great extent, it is repugnant to say that a government who have served for 6yrs still views it as a herculean task.

The big question is this; what will it take for Nigeria to have an equivalent of an social security number? is it really rocket science?

The figures on the right are not numbers of weapons but dollar amounts.
Nigeria was indeed spending billions on defence in 1982, 1983, 84 and 85..
Let me give you an IQ test. How came Nigeria was able to spend more than $900million on defence in 1984 when oil was just $35 but could not even spend $300million last year when oil was $120 a barrel?.
common sense, Nigeria was making more money from agriculture than oil then, secondly, the Nigerian politicians were less corrupt.
Ask your self, was the president of Nigeria feeding with N4b then?

Nigeria can comfortably spend $350m, if the president and his friends are not diverting $20b.

June 2013: World Bank appraised him thus;
