jmaine: Your ignorant has no limits, I still repeat that only a naive politicians will start counting his eggs before they are hatched... yes, a court of law make such declaration by the the Odua Faction but the case has been Appeal and it is still on, so why are you rejoicing over an half bread.. mind you... it is people that matters and not the pdp structure... |

jmaine: We are talking about Rivers State here, so don't be smart by half by stylishly mentioning SS or SE region. And one point of correction, Amaechi next political future is the senate and not been a VP as you guy has been wrongly propagandizing about. You cannot be in Surulere and be talking about facts in Port harcourt... so say only what you know! |

jmaine: See your life... you agree that there is faction of PDP in Rivers state but choose to believe that Wike PDP faction is the authentic one... you are simply counting your eggs before it hatch... which shows you are politically naive Anyway, you know the case is still in court, so let the court decide which faction of PDP in Rivers state will be the authentic one. |

blink182: this is more like it, I was really beginning to wonder if rivers people are so disloyal or amaechi's work is propaganda. Think of it this way... if Amaechi is not loved and appreciated by majority of Rivers people... did you think the presidency will fight him this hard with everything that they have got and still not successful? 1 Like |

blink182: wow, I reside in delta state and I'm assuming the people will be in support of their performing governor or is it just the usual pdp propaganda. I work and live in Rivers State, so i can tell you in clear terms that those PDP noise na joke, the faction of the PDP (pro-jonathan) are not popular in Rivers state without Amaechi. Amaechi command a huge support base in rivers people thus some few Ikwere people hate him for to sharing the state fund to them but Rivers state is like Lagos; Rivers is homes to large numbers of non-indigenes; who live and work here... So base on my daily interaction with other people here, i can confidently tell you that quite a lot of us here(Rivers) appreciate the good work the governor is doing, so he will have our vote come 2015. |

Joyfullyme: Your statement lack objectivity.. Did you know that, it is the Deputy Governor that was talking to Hon. Bipi when all those thugs are shouting and threaten to break into the house? Did you know that those section where does thugs are shouting from are restricted areas and they constitute security risk and not talking about their thuggery behaviours. 2 Likes |

Politics / House Of Reps Takes Over Functions Of Rivers House Of Assembly by jt2010: 3:18pm On Jul 10, 2013 |
The House invoked a section of the Nigerian constitution. Following the violence that occurred at the Rivers State House of Assembly on Tuesday, the House of Representatives has taken over the functions of the Rivers Assembly. The federal lawmakers took the decision on Wednesday following debates and approval of a motion and based on section 11, sub section 4 of the 1999 Constitution. The section states that “At any time when any House of Assembly of a state is unable to perform its functions by reason of the situation prevailing in the state, The National Assembly may make such Laws for the peace, order and good government of that state with respect to matters on which a House of Assembly may make laws as may appear to the National Assembly to be necessary or expedient until such time as the House of Assembly is able to resume its functions; and any such laws enacted by the National Assembly pursuant to this section shall have effect as if they were laws enacted by the House of Assembly of the state.” Crisis had engulfed the Rivers House of Assembly on Tuesday when five members out of 32 attempted to impeach the Speaker, Otelemaba Amachree. The confusion that followed led to violence among the state lawmakers with videos of the violence circulated on social media. Wednesday’s sitting was chaired by the Deputy Speaker of the House, Emeka Ihedioha http://premiumtimesng.com/news/140660-breaking-house-of-reps-takes-over-functions-of-rivers-house-of-assembly.html |

UBKtech: This is in response to the bolded, for a 2yr nursing programme, as a dependent you will be allowed to work only 40hrs in a fortnight. But you will be able to work unlimited hours if she is enrolled for MSc or PhD. UBKtech, your response is very much appreciated and I expect more responses to other part of my inquiry . |
