kingsways:
Agreed the killing of those soldiers is highly condemnable

But nothing in this world can justify the burning down of a whole community.

The Army with all the resources at their disposal should be able to carry out a thorough investigation and identify the actual killers

Angelfrost:
Falana is saying his own...!

Nigerian soldiers?!!

Blood will flow in buckets... Scores will be settled.

If those villages and communities don't produce the culprits, then anything they see, make them collect.

The soldiers will definitely take vengeance! Innocent or guilty, dem no go send!

Anyone with means should evacuate fast.

The media won't even report the real atrocities those soldiers will carry out as weeks and months go on.
You think our military will even do what a sensible military would have done - send military intelligence and police officers into those communities to gather intel and evidence and get the villagers to reveal the killers – before barbarians in uniform descended on those villages to burn and kill?

yes

If this happens to American soldiers, missiles will be raining on that community now.

Ask the Iraqis what they faced in the hand of American bombardment whenever they attack American soldier or camps.

Infact, America is that last country you want to use as an example in this situation.
Human right don't apply to America.
Everything you wrote here is wrong.

Travel / Re: FG, UK Firm Sign Mou For Port Harcourt–Abuja Rail Line by JuanDeDios: 4:51pm On Mar 15
ovie8200:

Oga, it means it will start from Calabar to PH. From PH to Enugu and Straight to Abuja. It can go straight to Abuja from Enugu unless they want to bend it to Makurdi or Lokoja. But Enugu straight to Abuja makes more sense. Look at the map well and also along the line, they may connect other cities but the main focus city point is Calabar-PH-Enegu-Abuja.

The reason people go through Makurdi before going to Abuja when coming from the east is that Nigeria does not have roads and highways. Ideally, a good country will have different extensive roads linking different cities but Nigeria doesn't have such. A country like Nigeria is supposed to have another highway from connection PH through to Enegu to Nsukka and straight to Abuja without going a distance way to Makurdi to Lafia before going to Abuja. So for the railroad, it doesn't have to go that direction like driving. I hope I am making sense.
Well, I think it makes more sense to connect Makurdi or Lokoja (or better, both) since we don't have enough train transportation in the country and the objective should be to link all state capitals by rail.

3. Sex is not a metaphor for kids - the post I replied to was talking about sexual PLEASURE. And, of course, you can have kids without having sex, thanks to science.

Following the demolition of a residence in Lagos, a hidden calabash containing a mixture of ritual concoctions has been uncovered. Alongside this eerie discovery, local sponges used for bathing in charm rituals were also found, raising questions about the mysterious practices that might have taken place within the walls of the demolished house.

A video captured by local residents shows the uncovering of mysterious items believed to be associated with juju or black magic.

Health / Lower Carb And Higher Fat Intake Associated With Greater Odds Of Having Diabetes by JuanDeDios: 12:17pm On Mar 11
Results
In the overall study sample, 194 (6.0%) had diabetes. Mean intake was 48.0%E for carbohydrates, and 34.9%E for total fat. Every 5%E decrease in carbohydrate, and every 5%E increase in fat, was associated with 12% (95% CI 0.78–0.99; P = 0.03) and 17% (95% CI 1.02–1.33; P = 0.02) higher odds of diabetes, respectively. Each two-point increase in LCHF score is related to 8% (95% CI 1.02–1.14; P = 0.006) higher odds of diabetes, while there was no evidence for association between DRV score and diabetes. Among the participants without diagnosed diabetes (n = 3130), every 5%E decrease in carbohydrate was associated with higher %HbA1c by + 0.016% (95% CI 0.004–0.029; P = 0.012), whereas every 5%E increase in fat was associated with higher %HbA1c by + 0.029% (95% CI 0.015–0.043; P < 0.001). Each two-point increase in LCHF score is related to higher %HbA1c by + 0.010% (0.1 mmol/mol), while each two-point increase in the DRV score is related to lower %HbA1c by − 0.023% (0.23 mmol/mol).

Conclusions
Lower carbohydrate and higher fat intakes were associated with higher HbA1c and greater odds of having diabetes. These data do not support low(er) carbohydrate diets for diabetes prevention.

I have nothing against swallow, but it depends on what one is battling with. A diabetic should stay clear of all swallows even including green plantain flour in my opinion. There is a reason for it. But I see diabetic patients deceiving themselves. They always load plantain swallow like gluttons. grin What the heck is that? And they say they are eating low carb. Low carb indeed. Not only diabetic patients should stay away from swallow, but many other conditions at least till the issue is fixed. Some can't do without rice. There are periods when you stay clear of these things. Knowledge is important.

Herbs work, but the food we consume will delay or prevent them from working if we eat wrongly. And of course, there are periods when you want to load carbs inside. So, an expert can help out.

You can only reduce chemical residue in grains with your method, it is better to stay off. Grains ....hmmmmm. Not the best form of food. Stay away from all forms of grains for 6 months, and return to give testimony. But Naijas can't. Dem say na common man food.

Eliminating grains and swallow would put one right in ketosphere. Which would make this second time I'm hearing of keto for people fighting infections. Should be worth a try for anyone dealing with that problem.

But I see why many would be reluctant. Vege swallows (cabbage, garden eggs, etc.) are tough to make and eat. Hmm.

i think child adoption agencies are under a separate ministry in service. There is no legal frame work for surrogacy either that a legal agreement would be reached by the three parties, ie Agent, Client and the woman and all paper work signed. Where the girl lives when she get pregnant is up to the agent. Some times an Agent can rent a full hostel if he/she has a lot of client. I have witnessed this go to court in PH and the case was dismissed as there is a legal agreement between all parties. .let me remind us that people who pay for these services are not poor or average, the mostly spend millions.
Since they're all related, I think they can have a law that covers surrogacy and adoption and everything. If FG isn't moving, the SE governments should enact these laws since that's the region most affected. Hopefully, they can persuade these roadside people to register and go legit.

There is no solution in sight at the moment because those who are supposed to speak against it with one voice are the people defending the evil act.
It is obvious that many of them here are products of baby factory.

Maybe that is why they are defending it.
The people on the street can't solve baby factory. It's those "raiding" the place who can solve it. Ask "baby factories" to register and become legit adoption agencies. Make the process of baby adoption simpler. Put measures and monitoring in place to ensure nothing untoward is going on. That's how you tackle serious problems like this.

Can you haters stop talking nonsense? Diaspora remittance is a major source of forex earning for Nigeria and sadly, it has been dwindling over the years. Under Buhari, Emefiele even started offering Nigerians in diaspora extra N5 for every dollar remitted yet, the response wasn’t so good. People in recent times preferred sending money to relatives at home through crypto and fintechs outside banking control.

Now that there is significant improvement, it means confidence is returning to the system. It is a good indication that the reforms are working. Only senseless and irredeemable haters will attribute this to suffering. People remit money home from all over the world. It has nothing to do with the high cost of living all over the world.
I remember those payments. Anytime I moved cash from my cloud to my dom, I will see 10k in my naira account. Another time, 12k. It was sweet. Only time I've received free money from Nigeria.

Bravo! Now you gat it. So, do I need to reply to their emails? Good. But common sense is so uncommon these days bro. See, the majority want strong drugs. Lol

Please, relax ooo. Pay attention to every detail of my posts. Return to them, and you will see where I wrote about chronic infections, especially those that can deceive our immune system. Tell me a Lagos dweller who has fully recovered from a staph infection that affected a major organ. I want to see that person. Sure, there can be, but give me one first.

Then, let them face the reality of dying like the city dwellers if they don't have money to spend on expensive supplements like oyinbo. Mind you...these supplements only manage the conditions, they don't cure them.
You're doing the Lord's work.

But what do you have against swallow? I banned "poundo yam" and other flour in my home. We buy yam and pound it ourselves. Ditto for plantain. This isn't ok? I mean, I doubt plantain is grown with herbicides.

Since it's not practical for most city dwellers to relocate to the villages, I also think they can take certain measures in the city. For example, parboil your beans to remove chemical preservatives. Avoid frozen chicken and even agric fowl and stick to native chicken. Go for fresh (caught) fish instead farmed fish or iced fish. Etc. Right?

The wisdom to help people who have been deep into a modern eating lifestyle is what I am doing. They have been blinded by modern food and drug producers. These producers sponsor only research that favours them. So, leave God out of it. If you are wise, you will get many insights from all I have written even on the thread. What the modern man wants is a powerful substance that can do magic. Dey play! I laugh at herbal sellers on NL cos I know most of their clients don't sustain the battle they claim to win. In the case of staph, it always returns after some months if it has entered a major organ. The ones they cure are the ones that are still in the skin...or wounds. If it blocks the womb, they can clear it..and if the woman quickly conceives, she is lucky. The infection will still return. ...
Knowledge of this is not as rare as you think - even though you put it rather grimly. City dwellers still recover fully from infections–I guess some people are lucky. Yes, the fruit we eat these days is not what they had back in the day. Yes, your process is definitely better for managing health. But, like I said, our reality is our reality and most city dwellers can't afford a home with a garden or to move to the village for a year. It's what it is is.

Is it that our local herbs and antibiotics are not effective for so many to be battling various infections? Nope. Something else is ignored. Eating just various types of greens can work, but we eat contaminated food. Everything you buy is trash because of poor production. Also, the quantity matters....and the food to drop are so essentials too. Many can't ....especially men. Not until Nigerian men are almost finished they are willing to drop many of what they consume presently. E.g. if i check that swallow is not good for the person, can any naija drop it easily? grin He would argue that swallows are natural and ok... our fathers ate it and bla blah blah. So, I cant waste my time with many. My time is precious.

Also, the knowledge of knowing the best for each case cannot be undermined. I have been receiving email requests cos of this, but I'm not answering anyone because I know they can't do it.

If the person is based abroad or can garden on a half plot in Naija, i can talk to the person. Over 99% that have been asking for help live in congested areas so they can't.
Sounds like a cake in the sky. Hopefully, one day, God will give you the wisdom to also come up with something that'll work for the people whose REALITIES you see around you.

i dont know

how long will the rail track be? and is it the main rail?

maybe it is a little rail track to take goods from the main coastal road

according to the umahi the rail is in between the road so their is no way a rail is going to benin since the road is not going to benin

is another rail linking the main rail
It's the original plan - "the coastal railway" has been mooted since the Jonathan era. The last government even tried to start it. I guess that project has been abandoned for the Umahi Road.
