Well, I guess it depends on who you are and what the matter is. The judiciary tends to be the last hope of the rich and powerful. So if you're rich and powerful, Mr Falana is your best bet.
Anyone who says that bring back our girls was regime stunt is basically excusing the failures of the GEJ regime to do its job in guaranteeing security.
Infact the Chibiok girls thing was not the worst thing to happen in schools in the North East. Boko Haram sent in two units to massacare over 60 schoolboys in two boarding schools, one unisex, one both boys and girls. And then there was the addendum of the mass kidnappings of girls in villages and small towns at the same time.
The only people promoting the Chibok girls was used to bring down Jonathan are GEJ supporters who are excusing the failures of their man to handle the security of this country. GEJ messed up in the North East, and that was one of the many reasons why he was voted out.
And before anyone starts, APC came in and made the situation worse. Not only has kidnapping gotten even worse under APC, under tinubu, it has even gotten to several times a year. 10 youth corpers have been kidnapped today, and am sure tinubu fans will soon say that donald trump ordered the kidnapping from his house.

Historically, Northern Nigerian masses were heavily subjugated by traditional feudal systems and elite political syndicates. A politician who rejects elite luxury is seen as a liberator standing up to oppressive rulers. Flashy wealth in politics is widely associated with stolen public funds. A modest lifestyle serves as proof that the leader is not using public office for personal enrichment.
Balewa was also loved for this. He was a simple man and I will attach that picture of him enjoying himself with children during his leave. In modern time, people like Kwankwaso have used it to their advantage. Even when Yar'Adua was president, the people loved him for his simple life and you can still see the video of him praying and behaving like the ordinary person. Don't forget Yar'Adua introduced the servant leader ideology when he became president. So am I surprised Obi has been given the recipe since that's what he does normally?
Whoever is advising Obi is smart about it. If you did not watch those videos, just know that the Talakawa deeply admire individuals who possess kaskan da kai (profound humility) and mutunci (respect for human dignity). They value leaders who reject flashy luxury to live, dress, and eat simply among the people. They look for gaskiya (absolute honesty) and a total lack of personal greed, trusting those who refuse to use their position or wealth to look down on the less fortunate. These people are not dumb. You can't give what you don't have. So I do not think you can fake it.
