On point. The fight was never about the politics of Edo or administration it was because the governors could not control Adams.

Ogbe stadium is a state government facility.did he deny POI the use of the entire state?both private and public? Is Apc requesting to use state government facilities? The ward offices the elections are going to hold are they state government properties? The Head of Service was accosted yesterday by staff of Edo state college of education over 11months unpaid salary. Local governments in the state are owed some over 10months. The fact that union leaders have been muzzled does not mean all is well.

He'd never do that, lest he awards the governorship to the APC even before the election day.
Obaseki using the SDP platform + the PDP also fielding a candidate (divided votes) = an easy APC win.

What he needs to do now is sit and talk with the leading PDP aspirants, mollify them to close ranks, drop their ambitions and support him with the promise to put them in the scheme of things should they win the election.

Frankly Obaseki has failed.for those who are of to know this government has been a huge step down from the heights Comrade took it. The day Obaseki said he had created almost 200000 jobs should have sounded the alarm bells. A governor that has not constructed a single hospital despite promising one in each local government. A governor that decides to prioritize the renovation of a stadium that has been renovated since Lucky and Adams govt. The list goes on. He has failed

Sincerely my worry is why Obaseki keeps mentioning blood and violence in his sentences. The truth is since the beginning of this crisis his opponents have never responded to his acts of violence. Each member can vote at their units. That should b less than 30 registered member per unit. Direct simply means every card carrying member of the party voters. Not necessarily in a particular place. Obaseki point is way off the mark. But I can understand he is desperate and confused.

For those shouting Indirect in Edo. The truth is the nwc could not have picked any other mode except direct. There are 2 factions in edo with court cases. Indirect means the nwc will recognize one. And if the court says otherwise the whole process is nullified. But with direct the candidate of the party is immune to the various faction Court cases. That was the mistake Apc made in Rivers and have avoided repeating.
If Obaseki is scared direct primary will be rigged he should not bother to contest the main election because even that is not immune to rigging.
Direct is the most democratic process. Not indirect where half of the delegates are staff of the governor such as commissioners and aides.
