F_Marshal: @ALL A note about Feeds: For those of you that enjoy watching feeds and back Hauls: It is not a good idea to publicly display the Transponders in any public forum as the providers may catch-on and scramble them. Here in the US, we lost the ability to watch WWE's live and taped matches, because some dude(s) couldn't contain their excitement and revealed the Frequencies that WWE broadcast their Wrestling matches. In the future, if you want to talk about an available feed, you can say for example, "there is a sport feed on 68°E, just scan for them." Don't be specific about transponder info. If you don't want to see all your feeds scrambled, you all better be discrete in divulging Satellite Feeds info. you have just made the most important statement on this thread. Infact the continious exsistance of FTA is hinged on your advice. Can we all imagine if Nilesat scramble their FTA premium channels simply because the TP was found to be freely posted on such a forum. INTELSAT7/10 has some thing new! my enhanced signal is 74% |

obnelly: As long as i am concern since we are able to get nilesat in the north, west and some part of eastern side,i see nothing bad in it ,it means we can receive nilesat as far as Nigeria is concern be it 1.8m,2.4m,3m or 4.5m it all depend on your location, and the number of channels available to you is a factor of how good you are at skewing.once the signal is there for Nilesat ,you are at the right place.,even if all you get is mbcs ,haba u don try.before we used to think etv is the best now we know there are so many better ones.Lets keep the forum alive and let the research continue, don't criticize until you have proven wrong. As long as this forum is alive what ever anybody post is authentic, until we find itsnt then we can say blablalba,ENIGMA,BADARU,TOXNIJA,JUJUKEMIST,F MARSHAL,ENITAN AND OTHERS MY RESPECT UNA BE GENERAL OOOO.I LIKE UNA CONCEPTS. you are the true son of your father.B4 u were born in this Fta world, I did what you just did to me in your post b4 this one. indid the world goes round. you are totally right, if u had check the earlier posts you would have seen that i finally believed you. Enigma your response made me paid a closer look at lyngsat. indeed persia and press are on bird4. Thanks for opening that angle to me. Now my asumptions are; I thot the 3birds are at the same location? if bird4 beam is not as strong as 101 and 102 them would not a bigger 3m dish in south west Nigeria gather more of the weak beam, than a 1-8m dish that gathers less the weak beam. my mind seems to be telling me that lnb is not the issue but dish size, though i might be forced to tinker with my setup? I also noted that Atlantic bird4 is at 7.2W not 7W Gangsta101 come out from your hibernating mode, lets get working. |

I want to re-state a suggestion someone brought on this forum about organizing an event on this FTA Forum, the way I am thinking it will be an event for networking, real hands on practical learning, FTA products exhibition for those who have something to sell, we can even get sponsors to get us a venue, and exhibit their products, we need a venue where we can practice with 90cm, 2.4m, even 4m if possible and test a whole lot of decoders.

Gangsta101, apart from mbc persia, press tv is also on nilesat.I have known this for 6months now,my work schdule had not allowed me to work on my setup.perhaps when we meet we may work together. Using Enigmas asumptions, there is no way obnelly would get mbc persia in the south-I swear.Let Elder Badaru go veryfy obnellys claim. I tell u the truth,if he is right then all nilesat transponders should be functioning in Lagos. I didny say u cannot get at least some nilesat channels with 1.8m dish.the issue is that u may not have up to 250 channels and the ones u will get like mbc234 will be disappearing. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by jujukemist(m): 12:17am On Oct 05, 2008 |
Gangsta101: Initialize,
Nothing stops you from getting the best of both worlds, since u haven't spent any money yet, it just might be possible for you to get a motorized dish with both c band and ku band lnb's at the focal point, and a decoder that has a multi-encryption cam (like strong for instance) get a HITV card, (if it is possible to get just the card) and u can receive both fta and paytv, you can check up on that sha. the ultimate would have been a 2.4m motorized dish, but those things are fairly unstable, so if u can get 1.8m dish with HITV card, u are good to go.
Jujukemist,
Do u still stay in KD, i wouldn't mind the opportunity to meet one of my mentors if it is okay with you. Another thing, please be careful with ur use of words, ur comments about Enigma's comparison can be taken wrongly. Enitan posted Badaru's hypothesis, some (especially the people with a lot more installation credentials) agree with him, while some (let me say the more theoritically inclined ones) disagree, i think the major problem so far is that u guys on Badaru's side of the coin haven't given out the supporting argument yet just the statement of the hypothesis, so it is difficult for others to see where u are coming from. please shed some more light if u can. though this is an aside from our fta stuff, it is a nonetheless interesting onel Gangsta101 @ I am fully dugdown in KD.make u show. I do agree with ur advice, from experience, it is safer not to go to war-ceasefire!!!!!!! However, I am aligned to the progressive center-rightist school of thot. we find answers to phenomenas not the other way round. Ptondz @I am using starcomms internet, what do you have forme? Olofofo @ In thread time past, Insisted that itis not true that u can not use pan dish-as PH people call it.So long we have a surface that will not bounce or deflect signal beam, then such a surface can be used to produce a dish. Imagine the gigantic cost savings that could be achieved if we can use a generic polyethene material re-enforced with aluminum frames to produce a 2.4 and a 3.2M dish.Believe me the posibility is now! |

Enigma: olofofo
Thanks for the pictures but I'm still trying to understand that second picture. That seems to be just the C band LNB or is it that I am failing to see the Ku band LNB as I can see that there are indeed two cables. I guess what i really want to see is how you've placed the Ku band LNB next to the C band. And when you align it, do you align on the Ku band or on the C band? C band lnb is pointer, ku aligned behind the C band(na suggest i dey) |

History tells me that Enigma leads a conservative leftist school of thot. While you may be right with the three birds hovering over head,ur comparing an audio signal to that of a digital video signal is laughable. Since our aim and contribution is complementary, I must not argue with you. I still stay by my assumptions. olofofo, can you guys begin to experiment with taut polyethene material for 2-4 to 3.2 m dish construction. it will save you guys alot of money and should revolutionise FTA in nija? |

Badaru and enitan, congratulations!some thread times back, I insisted that fibre dish is a distraction from the proliferation of our FTA evolution, especially for my southern brothers. these are my addtions';a 1.8m dish may not work.I have on record that a 3.2m dish is the best for lagos region, two have been installed.I agree with badaru's theory.clusters of dish acessing the Nilesat bird sustains a signal cloud. Soon i belive we can use a polythene type material to make our dish for nilesat.Use lnbs with strong signal absorption-cut it open.Nilesat will ket better |

tarezulu: All we seem to have achieved on this thread is just the same as the killings that have taken place but on the verbal scale. We can't have too much of each side. that is too much of a problem. For some people saying we should eradicate the muslim faith, I don't think that can be possible because these people probably have nowhere to go and anything else to believe because they don't want to. And we can't keep having continual violence and losing our fellow Nigerians. What I think caN BE THE SOLUTION IS having our criminal and judicial system work better and get these people to face justice Dont think arguing here and insulting each other would help anything.

Politics › Re: Northern Nigerian Killer Muslims At Work Again by jujukemist(m): 11:51am On Dec 18, 2007 |
SysUser: First and foremost, let us get this out of the way, I AM A CHRISTIAN who believes Muslims an Atheits, Agnostics (whether "good" or "bad" are going to Hell. Rigtheousness is not the same as being MORAL.
For any muslim take note that I have muslim relatives, as such I understand the ramifications of the Truth upon those relatives if they die as muslims.
Whether you believe it or not is irrelevant the truth is that, only one of the so called Religions is the TRUTH.
The Good News of Jesus Christ is the truth, Yes JESUS is THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE , If you want further truth that Buddism, Hinduism, Traditional Religios, Islam are all works of the Devil. Search the internet and seek the truth because you will find it. e.g. ISAAC versus ISHMEAL, e.g. ADAM & EVE versus MOHAMMED plus 4 WIVES, e.g. NO MARRIAGE in HEAVEN versus DEAD TERRORIST with VIRGINS in Muslims' "heaven" (actually HELL). At times you begin to wonder whether or not the god of the muslims is a sex fanatic or not. Jesus himself said there is no marriage in heaven. Yet the so called muslims try and twist the truth that they believe in their own version of Jesus who they call ISSA. Since as far as I know, The Devil has always been trying to duplicate what God has done, so as to try and deceive people to do wrong things , e.g. when the Isrealites after coming out from Egypt built an Idol, during the so called Christian "Military" Crusades. He tried to duplicate the Good News of Christ by deceiving the lost soul known as Muhammad that he was an angel of light who has brought a message from God to him. (Check the information from people like Walid Shoebat, Zac Anani, Ibrahim Abdallah). Do you now see why there are a lot of dogmas in Islam (e.g. 4 wives, Virgins, killing in the name of allah, referencing the name of an ordinary man called mohammed, violence against any one who rejects islam, violence against anyone who leaves islam "just like a cult group" . I can go on forever trying to prove to you Islam is a Demonic cult. However this mail is not for that. Finally just remember that before now demonic cults like that of Baal existed (probably still exists) during the time of Elijah, they had powerful forces and convictions just like Muslims of today, they killed those who believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob then just as some Muslims do now. Remember it got to a stage that Elijah had to run out of fear.Yet the truth is that God is always the winner, God is always true and right, God is always love. So understand that during the end of days things would get worse rather than get better.
Back to the main topic , though I am also angry about all these attacks and killings, yet the truth is that that is exactly what the devil wants. The devil wants a Christian to lose every power, right and priviledge he has by making the Christian angry, sad, feeling vulnerable, feeling hopeless, feeling the need for revenge, so that we (Christians) would end up making a mistake, creating more problem by retaliating, hating muslims (instead of praying for them and preaching to them about what is true and what is not).
Therefore contrary to what my Flesh wants:
Concerning the destroying of the mosque in bauchi, Let me say that I condemn the act of destroying the "physical" Mosque (though I completely support destroying every principalities, powers and spiritual wickedness and "spiritual" mosques).
concerning other religious attacks of Muslims on Christians and attacks of Christians on Muslims, I strongly condemn all of them .
I also condemn the crimes and corruption committed by christians in the name of religion, anger, retaliation and other things.
We Christians should be "Peace and be Still" so that we would know that HE IS GOD.
"Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free":
1. It is wrong for A MOSQUE to have been built in a "Government School" because the school is was not a muslim school in the first place.
2. It is demonic for someone to believe that killing a person would make one a holy person, instead it makes you as close to demons as possible.
3. It is wrong for the Christian Students to have allegedly destroyed the Mosque (because the battle is the Lord's, therefore we are not expected to take laws into our hands).
4. It is wrong for Christians to want to retaliate due to frustration and anger.
5. It is wrong for Christians to hate Muslims (understand that they are lost, even though they themselves don't know that they are lost)
Above all things please be at peace that God is in control. Let us understand that it is in the devil's interest if there is war, it is in the devil's interest if True Christians get angry with Muslims so much that they don't preach to them to get born again. The devil knows that violence will bring the dark cycle of retailiation, hence he will try everything to start it in the first place.
Even though we may suffer physical lose during these period let us as Christians know that the Outcome of the Battle as already being determined even before it started. Christians through Christ have already won every battle either with the Devil himself, muslims, islamist, moderates, atheits, agnostics buddist, hinduist etc Some of them are fighting for control over the physical land (which will pass away, we are enduring for the Crown which would be giving us). The devil (through them) knows that he has but a little time hence he is going about trying to destroy as many souls as possible either through violence, false believe or war
Absolutely correct! Let us prepare to be true christians, that way we can truely understasnd the killings and what to do about it. Killing them takes them to hell. God is not interested in that. |

Possible scenarios: The Dish was not properly constructed well.He should have pass thru the professionals here in Kaduna. We would have test run it here before taking it to PH. The position of the dish in PH, is it obstructed,is it in a valley,or a place where signals is being absorped or distorted. |

Remember that your DVB does not work with the CTL yogi antenna.
